I On my phone and it will still work. I'm wanting to run;
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe
But need to know that my phone will work correctly.
My current bootloader says.
M7_VL PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID - 11111111
HBOOT - 1.55.0000
RADIO - 4A.21.3263.04
OPENDSP. V32.120.274.0909
OS - 3.62.401.1
eMMC-boot 2048MB
I just want to know if. I ran the run mentioned above would it work properly.
As you can see my current role is
3.62.401.1 and I want to go back to 1.128.401.7. I take it my current hboot being 1.55 won't cause any problems.

You should be good to go on the RUU. If you do run into any errors, you'll need to flash the 1.44 h-boot. That's what I had to do when going back to my original RUU after converting to GPe.
It gave me an error saying I have to use the correct one for my device.
Strange. I'll run it again and get the error code as I've forgot what it was.

What is your mid Cid?

If your flashing a different region RUU with a different mid Cid I believe it won't work. Sorry if I didn't clarify that, been out with friends drinking :sly:
No worries lol, how do I find out my mid cid. I changed my cid to 11111111 which is a super cid if I'm not mistaken.

I had this same problem after trying to downgrade after doing s-off on the 3.62.401.1 firmware/software.
To solve the error, you first need to flash the 1.44 hboot from here: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/1-29-401-12_hboot_1-44-zip/
The RUU for 1.28.401.7 ROM will then successfully install
Hope that helps. All instructions of how to flash the 1.44 hboot are given at the linked address (if needed).

Hello everyone, I have a HTC One and is currently as follows:

Ok, i want to go back to stock with any RUU since I'm S-OFF. But once i'm at stock 4.3 i will lose S-OFF and Root? And If i want to flash a custom rom back, i need to flash cwm or twrp first and then choose rom from install zip from sd or just restore backup?
If i go S-ON i can get S-OFF again with my currently HBOOT? and new HBOOT too 1.55 ?
THANK´S !!!
I have the same question.. Will I lose s-off after flashing a 4.3 RUU zip/exe?
Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
You won't lose S Off . Doesn't matter what Rom or Ruu you use with regards to S Off , only way to "loose" S Off is by write secure command.
So go ahead, you will retain S Off .

I am on hboot 1.54 and I'll tell you if it worked because I'm gonna use the same RUU too. But a simple advice: If you get a failure! NEVER UNPLUG OR REBOOT YOUR DEVICE IF FLASHING HBOOT FAILS I advise you to flash the 1.44 hboot file first to prevent failure while running RUU
Followed this post to get it working, I had to downgrade to 1.44 all happy now.

My One was buy from SAUDI ARABIA.How can i find real original RUU for downgrade to 4.1.2 and will i able to OTA?
.401 ruu are easy to find like at htc1guru.com. You will probably need to downgrade to hboot 1.44 in order to run a 4.1 ruu and this require s-off. I highly suggest you to read and proceed with nkk71 guide about how to return stock (Can be found in this Q&A forum)
And yes you will be able to update via ota after restoring from a ruu

Check my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082 it's all in there; and it should be this one: RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed (for PN071000 and CID HTC__J15)

Hi there, managed to recently unroot, and flash my RUU back to stock which is Android 4.1.2.
I'm so off, my device is relocked. And i'm super CID.
When I try to search for an update my phone says i'm up to date which isn't the case.
I've tried to google framework fix but It didn't work.
I just want to be able to update my phone OTA and not need to use my computer anymore, that's why I unrooted.
Here is some further information:

That's what I see when I go into HBOOT
Thanks in advance.

I had to SUPER CID to flash this particular RUU.
If I change my CID back now, will this mean my RUU is redundant and then crick my phone?

Their are only 2 RUU for 6.x.xxx.x
one is the Developers Edition 6.x.1540.x
and the other is T-mobile 6.x.531.x
Since your phone is neither of those you'll need s-off to use a RUU. Your hboot 1.57 so Firewater and Sunshine are you only chances of getting s-off

after achieving s-off you can run every x.xx.707.x RUU (like this one) to restore your phone or you can also change your CID/MID to run another version RUU.
If you need to return stock for warranty purpose you'll also need to remove the tampered flag from the bootloader and set it back to LOCKED instead of RELOCKED.
