Hey Folks,
For many years I have been using my Android phones connected to my Exchange account so that I can send and receive text messages from Outlook.
I was previously using an S3 without any problems for the past 18 months.
Yesterday the S3 went into the fish tank.
I picked up an S4 active. I added the exchange account using the Exchange account connector. I received a notice in my outlook that the phone was connected.
One text message arrived. Then the phone failed and stopped making and receiving calls. And the text messages stopped showing up in Outlook.
I exchanged the phone last night for another S4 active.
I connected it again to exchange, got the message in outlook that the phone was connected. I am able to send text messages but they don't appear in outlook.
Also if I add things to my calendar in outlook, or on the phone it used to synch within minutes. Now the appointments don't synch until I manually synch.
I checked my exchange server, and it shows the phone is connected.
I removed and readded the account several times without any different results.
I have checked numerous times, and the SYNC SMS is checked and SYNC calendar is checked.
Data is turned on
I contacted Samsung support which was a joke, and they said do a factory reset and start all over again.
Anyone have any insight that might resolve this problem?
Thanks,
Dave
I've been using Outlook Connector without issue for several years. I've never had text messages show up in Outlook. I don't even think Outlook supports texting. I do eventually see text messages in my Combined Inbox on the phone, but that just started with my S4A and I find it to be annoying. I prefer my text messages stay in my text messaging app and my e-mails stay in my e-mail Inbox. I'm constantly having to delete the texts from my Inbox because if I don't I end up getting a second notification for the same message I already read when it came into my text app. I'm pretty sure that Outlook Connector does not download text messages to Outlook, though.

For some reason, my TF3D-screen does not show my Outlook emails (the envelope) anymore, although my emails are still in sync (when I look with outlook, everything's fine).
Instead the screen says: "no accounts". TF3D shows the unread count green number when new emails have arrived , so it knows of the existence of my outlook email.
Anyone any idea?
Thanks,
Any news???
Is 'email' checked with activesync?
re-enable it?
Yes, I have do it, but without result.
Hi,

PROBLEM:
I have got mails with saying no subject/no sender which are completely blank when i open them.
When i press send/receive i got Error Synchronizing message and/or the outlook closes self and i got to the home screen.
thank you for your help
Hello,
I’ve been using the phone for few days now and I’m having some problems with my e-mail. I have configured three e-mails accounts, 1 Gmail and two pop 3 mails.
The deal is that whenever I use the e-mail app I can check new e-mails, but I can’t see the old messages (the one I read before). Also, alter seeing the messages in the SGS the messages disappear from the phone AND from my e-mail server. I already checked the configuration and I have selected “Never” in the “Delete e-mail from the server” in the “Incoming server settings” of both accounts but it looks like as soon as the e-mail apps access my account it actually deletes the message from the server.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thanks
Do they disappear immediately?
Are you sure you don't check them elsewhere (standalone computer) where they ARE removed from the server?
Don't have that issue here, only once I check them on my home computer they are removed from the server and my phone.
I'm sure. I was traveling, and the only way to chck my e-mail was using the phone. When I got home I tried to download the messages in the outlook and no messages were downloaded. Than I tried to acess the messages using webmail and again I couldn't fine the messages. They just disappeared.
Tried again with the same results. I read the messages on the SGS and 10 seconds later the message disappears from the phone and from the server (I tried to read the messages using a Webmail page and there is no message in the inbox).
Looks like a Bug, but it's strange that I'm the only one that is experiencing this issue. I recall that I had a similar issue with my Archos, but I thought it was a problem with Android 1.6. It may be a issue with my e-mail account but it is just a simple pop 3 account. I see no reason why it would behave like that.
pop3 email vanishes
I am having the same type problem with my samsung vibrant.I set up a pop3 account using my cable account. I can send and receive mail but my mail vanishes from the inbox. It does stay on the server luckily. Nobody at tmobil or samsung has a solution except to use k9 but it happens on it also/ So they blame isp which makes no sense since it arrives. Very frustrating
Are any of you experiencing sync failures of your various accounts?
My gmail and google contacts usually sync correctly, but I have had a sync failure a couple times.
My Yahoo email account is through the native email app. It often syncs when it's supposed to, but is experiencing a number of sync errors where it just hangs up during the sync process, and then fails.
My office email account is through the Exchange Active Sync. It includes email, calendar and contacts. The calendar and contacts sync when they're supposed to, sometimes. The email has not synced since yesterday. It gets hung up when syncing and then fails.
It's Monday afternoon, now, and I've had the phone since Friday afternoon. Didn't start noticing these sync failures until late yesterday.
I've tried restarting the phone. That didn't help.
Thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
Any help on this would really be appreciated. I'm stumped.
Yesterday afternoon, I removed my Exchange account and then re-installed. All worked perfectly until a couple hours ago.
Upon more careful attention, it appears that what's going on is that all parts of the Exchange account work properly except the email Inbox. Calendar and Contacts sync. Outgoing email syncs. But the Mail sync hangs-up with the turning circle and the Inbox will not sync.
I am having exactly the same problem on two different HTC One. Everything syncs fine except E-Mail. The only way to solve this is to remove the exchange account and add a new one. This happens when your Dataline is weak and switches around nothing-GPRS-Edge-3G or Wifi.

Try this: In Exchange General Settings set mail-size limit to max and sync-timerange to all. This setting is now working for over 3 days.
I've read about this online but most of the posts are from two years ago. Is this still a problem? I got a calendar invite in my email today (which admittedly I don't get often) and on my phone, it just shows as a blank email sent to various people. No text about an event being on this date at this time, no attachments, no nothing. Just a blank email. When I log in to my Gmail on my computer, I see the event details just fine.
What am I missing here? Apparently my calendar is set to automatically add events from my Gmail to my calendar, but shouldn't it at least show that it was an event and was automatically added? I turned the setting off and it is still showing the event as blank as well.
I see the same on my X when sending myself invites from my work Iphone's Exchange account.
I've not found away around it.
I have the same issue. I really need this feature as I get multiple invites everyday. It seems to be an issue only with the new gmail android app. The invite shows up fine on gmail.com.
