So I have a galaxy s4 active, rooted thanks to geohot, and I seem to be having some trouble with re-assigning home key shortcuts. Currently, it is set to bring up multitasking when you hold the button down and s voice when you double tap the button, I just came from iphones for 6 years now. And this is backwards for me, can I swap them? I have checked the keyboard.kl and none of them mention multitasking or s voice...

You can try Wanam Xposed. It has the functionality you're looking for as well as a ton of other tweaks. It definitely works and I'm sure there are some other tweaks in there that you'll end up using.
thread post bump cleaned,
all users are reminded that "bumps" within 24 hours are frowned on here at XDA...
Im sorry for bumping I didn't realize that was frowned upon. Also thanks Wanam xposed does work but for some reason it doesnt bring up whatever i set for long press, thanks a ton anyways!

I just got off the phone with support attempting to get my SMS working correctly and they had me go into a menu I had not seen anyone mention in here yet. This is a programming menu that you find on other android devices although I hadn't seen anyone find it for the droid X yet. Here is how to enter it-

It was getting into a menu very similar to this on the Droid Incredible that enabled us to get Wifi Hotspot working without subscription.
Tinker away.
Anyone know what data call setting does?

What's more priceless is that there are people who think that a) everyone follows every single phone on this forum and b) people don't switch phones.
He found something he thought was interesting he wanted to share, and some scrubs try to make fun of him?
No wonder there is zero development inspiration for this phone. The emo teenieboppers will just be unappreciative and immature and ruin the community anyhow, so why bother?

It's only an option to enable/disable cmas which has something to do with with emergency alerts.
There is also another menu to access which the number is listed below, which I found in another thread here in the DX forums, but it seems to have been abandoned(the thread I mean).
*#*#4636#*#*
It's mainly the phone info and usage statistics, I see nothing for DUN settings in here either.

My implication was the inability to use search with 900+ posts under your belt. Instead just adding to the clutter of repetitive threads; which is unappreciative, immature, and ruin's the community.
Just because you don't see development, you again assume there is little inspiration... that's a little mind speaking.

Actually, since the entire Droid X forum here gets less hits than my personal website (which is unlisted, unadvertised and mostly for my friends and family), discouraging anyone from posting anything that might be additional or useful information is FAR more damaging to any community you might think you serve (FYI, "the community" is not considered "you and you alone" - despite what your parents may teach you).
If YOU (of course, that's what you are thinking of here) don't like it, hit the back button. If you need guidance in locating this tool in your browser, send me a PM and I will work through it with you since I am familiar with pretty much every major browser out there.

I know there is development, but not NEARLY as much as other phones released at the same time, and certainly the majority of it isn't discussed here. Gee, wonder why.
When you;
a) Figure out that you do not speak for any community or, in fact, comprise the majority opinion just because you think you do
and
b) Find the back button or the link located at the top of the page that takes you to the message list
THEN you can even begin to talk to me. Until then, let the discussion resume with the big people and you just stay quiet and let other people do all the work.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Maybe XDA should have a "Post with sarcasm" button somewhere
ultimate answer : keep using the old theme , there isnt even a thank button , or a thanks meter and nothing about it in profile .
also the posts are smaller on screen and better organised
I think there should be an 'Awesome' button on the bottom of all my posts and it should be mandatory for others to click it.
If i've helped you don't forget to recognise my awesomeness!

Or maybe none of us see that awesomeness. I'd vote for that one for sure. I may even give a thanks or something of that nature. You're going to have to get a better avatar to be that awesome. It just reminds me of wavelengths from physics. You should check out a llama avatar. That's worthy of an awesome button.

Hello all,
Is it possible to get the application or process for our Tabs, like HTC Flyer has, I mean the scheduled sleep at night? The one that puts into deeper sleep at night, and wakes the device in the morning, in normal screen only sleep.
That is an interesting feature, and I would like to know if it is possible to get it somehow....
Anybody??? Please?
Ok I will answer that. But Kindly next time post in appropriate section and preferrably wait for 24 hrs before bumping the thread.
As for your inquiry there is no real solution to actually do that from samsung. But you can use an app called tasker to create such a behaviour on your tab. Its a paid app and brief search on xda or google will reveal many tutorials on how to do that.
oh, sorry, thank you, in what section was I supposed to ask?
How do you use Tasker, it's a difficult app to understand...

Hi guys,
I've just added a Facebook share button and Google+ share button to my site (on the one page for testing). The site is only a hobby and I'm new to Facebook and Google+ and don't usually use those services. However, could you please check or tell me if the buttons are or are not working or doing the right thing when you press them please? (If you use Facebook or Google.)
I'm not much of a coder and spent a while looking for custom button code. Then I simply copied some url's that a couple of other sites are using and wanted to check that it's doing the right thing.
Sorry if this sounds like spam. It's all a little sad really, this being a hobby and me being 44 and all, but I do enjoy it and it keeps me out of trouble.
You needn't share my site of course, but please let me know if the buttons are indeed working as they should.
If not, I'd appreciate a heads up of the correct way to do it.
Thanks a lot. :good:

LOL. I lost respect for you when I popped into your freeware recommendations (you can tell a lot about people by the freeware utilities they run) and I saw you have Realplayer in there. LOL. It is CANCER for the PC.
But you redeemed yourself when I saw Truecrypt in your list. :victory:

Thanks. The freeware isn't a personal recommendation, and I don't use some of it. I just like to think that it all helps newcomers (noobs) when it comes to the world of PC's.
I must admit, apart from trying the Android version to screenshot it, I haven't defaulted to RealPlayer in many years (if I even did).
Thanks both of you for your replies. I will update the other pages after work tonight.
If you have any suggestions of other stuff which might help newcomers in any of the included fields, just throw it my way.
Have a good day.
I've had the phone for a while now, completely stock mind you. Every now and then the home and back buttons don't work. I would have to lock then unlock the screen to get it working. Happens about twice a day. Any ideas?

Yeah, literally a couple posts above you. Please search before posting.
I did search before posting and all I found was a thread about controlling the lights and issues with its sensitivity and also I came across a thread where someone inquired about using the HTC logo as a button.
