After setting an alarm the icon shows up in the status bar. However, the alarm does not show on the lock screen.
Is there anyway to see what time you've set the alarm for on the lock screen?

I use alarm clock plus, which automatically shows up on the lock screen, or replaces it with it's own.

There is a box with a check in it that shows up between the battery icon and time in the notification bar when you have an alarm set. Does anyone know how to hide the icon? I have alarms set for everyday of the week so it is ALWAYS there and I would prefer it not be.

Stock alarm clock?
I switched to alarm clock extreme, you can definitely disable the notification for it, only shows up if you happen to have an alarm snoozed.
I too would love to disable this, but it doesn't look there are any options in the stock ROM to get rid of it. I don't mind so much that it wants to have an icon up there, but the fact that the icon looks NOTHING like an alarm clock makes me want to get rid of it!
it's not a check it's clock hands
HA! Okay, I see it now, but still, the default google alarm app has a much more obvious icon than this thing...

I know this is an ancient thread, but with the latest version (even in the paid version from amazon.com's free app of the day ) it's not obvious how to disable it from always being in the notifications list at the very top priority mad: .
Go to Settings => General Settings => Show Notifications, then uncheck all listed, alarm, timer, stopwatch.
It's confusing because you're worried you wont get the alarm POPUP, but it's just the NOTIFICATION icon is gone. They should probably disable it in the default settings.
Hi guys need some help. I have 2 nexus 6. When I set an alarm, the first phone will show the usually alarm dismissal screen from my locked screen. Meaning I can swipe left to snooze and swipe right to dismiss.
However, my second nexus 6 doesn't have that. When the alarm goes off I have to go into the clock app, select alarm tab and select the particular alarm to switch it off.
How can I get the same alarm dismissal screen as the first nexus 6?
BTW. I'm on all stock. No changes.
i do not find an option to dismiss the alarm if i wake up early. The only option is to turn off the recurring alarm. There is a notification which shows up a minute before the alarm sounds to dismiss it.
In oneplus that notification would show up an hour before the alarm sounds and could easily be dismissed without affecting the recurring alarm.
Is there any setting to allow me to dismiss the alarm for the day rather than turning it off?
I am currently using the stock clocck app. Thanks.
You can use Alarm Clock Xtreme, which has the option "Skip next".

Will check out. Thanks
Hi. Does anybody have the same issue? I tried two different alarm apps (AlarmPad and WakeVoice), neither worked. The sound is coming but to shut down alarm, I have to unlock a phone and then splash screen appears. At the same time, Samsung alarm works as it should, it appears on the lock screen, where I can turn it off.
Or anybody can suggest any alarm with voice announced weather and calendar.
download google's clock app. it's what i use.
to jayochs: downloaded, installed, it works as supposed to. But I want one with weather and calendar announced.
I am using the alarm clock: Alarm Clock Plus.
When the phone screen is off, the alarm opens full screen so I can interact with it. When the phone is in use, I get a notification bar that I have to click in order to open the alarm clock. I would like to eliminate the notfvication bar. I've checked the settings for the app and am left thinking that it's some feature of the OS. Can someone tell me how to change this functionality?

Have you asked the Alarm Clock Plus developer?
I sent an email, but have heard nothing back yet.
