Hello!
Since not all of EU countries are Play Store "compatible" for buying devices, I know there are many of us wondering where to buy this cost-friendly powerhouse.
All I could think of is www.expansys.com. I bought all of my HTCs there because they were always cheaper than anything else in my country. But now I have some "issues", while google play price is 349eur for 16gb but expansys sell them for (cca 470eur). They don't have the price announced for 32gb (which I want) and I fear that the price will be arround 530eur.
I tried to enter play store via german IP adress but I could only order it to an adress located in Germany.
What are you suggesting us (play store incompatible countries)?
Where to get Nexus 5 for a reasonable price?
Where did you buy yours?
Thank you in advance!
Did you try eBay. ?
sorry buddy, I do now how you feel. Luckily now ITALY is supported by google play devices.

Maybe someone can buy one in Europe for you and send it? I know it's difficult to trust anyone, but I think this is the best answer to your question.
Where are you from?

Hi,
I'm making a trip to the US within a few weeks and I was hoping to buy a nexus one over there, because this will be cheaper rather than buying it in Europe.
Is it possible for a foreigner to buy a nexus one?
And I was wondering if an American Nexus (unlocked) will work in Europe?
I read somewhere that the US-version doesn't have multitouch. If so, is this fixable?
Thanks in advance
For your information
Google has stopped selling Nexus One and they're discontinued.
The only place you can look for is eBay or craiglist in which I don't think it would be any cheaper.
Besides, there is a rumor that Google is gonna sell Nexus Two by this Christmas
You can register as a developer and buy a brand new nexus one.
And it should work fine in Europe. Just check which frequency you wish to use for 3g in Europe because it may not be compatible.
They're out of stock. Unless you'll be in the states for a few months, u won't get it.... and by then the next Nexus phone will be out.
Try eBay or Craigslist. But I suggest you wait.

Hmm, I hope they are still/again in stock when I arrive in the US (14th november).
Thanks for the answers anyway!
Do you need to be a developer to buy the nexus?
Isn't it possible to walk in a store and just buy the phone?

That was the problem with the initial release of the N1. They didn't sell via brick and mortar stores, only online. Because of this, the N1 sales suffered....so they say.
I saw it as a silver lining, meaning only a select few who know how to use this phone should have it lol...
Like others have said, try ebay or craigslist. Then have it shipped to a stateside residence that you will be at, maybe a relative or good friend. Just brainstorming....GL
+1 for Ebay...a friend just picked one up from there.
I'm so ready to buy this device but i need to know if there's a better alternative than buying from Amazon. Any advice?
Newegg also has it, I think for around the same price.
There are a few places, but, for the price, I would go with someone you have used before. There appear to be a few batches out with some screen issues.
I almost pulled the trigger a week ago, but now that some carrier in the USA "might" be getting it, I'm going to hold off til I can get one in the states, which should bring the price down hopefully for the online stores. I've never had an issue with Newegg, so other than a trusted source from Amazon, Newegg might be where I get one.

Rumor has it that the At&t version will be the same version in Korea with an inferior processor and LTE which doesnt help me since im not near those select areas. Newegg, unfortunately charges taxes in nj.
If that happens, like with the other at&t LTE sammy, I'll just say screw it and get the single button ones online

The shop has all my trust, Im costumer of they since 4 years.
They only provide warranty on malasya so in case of warranty you need to send it to they.
But you can buy a warranty on squaretrade or something like that
Its best if you buy from a local retailer incaase you get unlucky with the panel lottery.

Same here, got it off ebay for $660 shipped! Hopefully no issues with it. It will be getting delivered tomorrow!!!
I know alot of the places it quite expensive around 850 usd. and online its only 700-725
does anyone know of a store that you could buy it in person closer to the online price?
there are so many places here i dont even know where to start looking, any experienced HK shopping help would be appreciated.
or even a buy online and in-store pickup. i just want to make sure i can check the screen and if all is good so i dont have to deal with shipping it back and fourth.
thanks.
If you're shopping in Hong Kong for electronics you're probably best off staying away from Mong Kok and all the major shopping centers - they're looking for foreigners to fleece. Make sure you have a solid idea of how much you can buy it for online, then be prepared to haggle. They won't give you the price you want right off the bat, so be prepared to walk away. Most will call you back to negotiate.
At the end of the day, I found it was best to buy from eBay (ironically shipped from Singapore) and avoid the games they play at the Hong Kong Electronics markets. Also, the exchange rate fluctuates and you could end up losing money just converting to HKD.

i understand ebay is the cheapest the reason i want to get it in store is so i can view the screen and make sure its good, i have friends here in HK i can shop back for warranty but would rather not.
and considering almost EVERYONE reports a screen problem id rather pay 50 bux more and know its ok.
so if you or anyone have an actual suggestion for a place to go that would be awesome.

i am still asking about an actual physical store
not an online store, i know it can be gotten online.
does anyone know of the cheapest store in HK that would see it so i can look at it before buying?
AHAH! i finally found a place that shows in-store prices and seems to be about usd 715-750
here is this site
http://www.price.com.hk/
you can compare many stores so i could check out the device in store before buying it.
I played with and eventually bought my Note a few days ago at Fortress, Melbourne Plaza, Queens Rd, Central. (Near Central MTR). I'm pretty sure you could do the same in all the Fortress stores as they have big mobile display areas.
It's pretty trustworthy as it's a major chain, but as such you don't get the larger discounts you might be able to track down in Mongkok. Mine was $5998 HKD.
You may or may not have heard about this but if you live in a country where purchasing devices from google play isn't available(which is like 98% of the countries),you will have to pay a whopping 549 euros for the 16gb nexus 4(that's the pricing in Austria, dunno about the rest of the world but it will most likely be the same).I will actually have to pay more than double the original price of a phone that got 16gb non expandable storage. And if I bought it online,I will have to sacrifice local warranty. It just looks like google is doing their best to force me not to get their nexus devices. There's just a big hype about how cheap the nexus 4 is with cutting-edge hardware ignoring the fact that only people living in certain countries can get it for that price. Why can't google be fair ? Guess I might end up getting Gnote 2,at least it got a micro SD slot.
Wow. This sucks. Nice find! For that price, I'd definitely go for a Note II!
(My cousin is in the states so he'll order it for me and send it here to India through my uncle's shipping company - Win win for me!)

i am personally ready to be robbed by those retail stores. it sucks but then the price tag wasn't the deciding factor.
Maybe see if someone from another country can buy it from the play store and have them mail it to you? Providing the shipping cost is realistic?
I'll get one from Germany too.
If anyone wants to order for me send me a PM.
I am screwed, since I live in the Netherlands. No Playstore here. Hopefully the online shops will sell against Playstore prices, or less Sucks I can't order from European Playstores btw, so much for European 'shop integration'.
Yep, I can't but devices from the play store here either.... :/ just hope its at a reasonable price or else I'll have to ask someone to buy for me... its not there on expansys yet either

I think we should wait official pricing for other countries. However, if in Italy the prices will be so high, I'll buy it online from another European country.

Well, it's worth a trip to Germany.
But I have doubts this will really happen. That would be pretty stupid of Google. Look at the price if the nexus tablet. That's also pretty cheap for what it has to offer.

I completely agree, I live in Chile and the carriers here are just thieves, the galaxy nexus retails here for around 750 USD contract free.
Gladly my brother is going to USA on december and he might get one N4 for me there at a normal price.
Does anyone knows if you can buy a nexus product online? Becouse whenever I try to go to the website says its restricted to my country, I dont know if its possible to shop online outside the US. I wouldnt care not having warranty if I pay 300 box.

I think that Google is selling the product below the MSRP because they expect people to post some of those saved euros into producst on the store.
It's 549€ here as well, and also in Sweden as far as i know.
Thank goodness my girlfriend lives in Germany.
It would be awesome if some XDA peeps located in Europe and have access to Playstores could help out their fellow European members
here in Israel i will be thank's full if it will Retail for 600$.

Nope, not yet but well LG said that the nexus 4 will be available in the middle east end of november so I assume Egypt is included.Nexus devices do take a long time to be available here. The galaxy nexus for example took freakin 6 months and it was exclusive to vodafone.Asus Egypt said that the nexus 7 should be available in mid october but so far nothing...
I live in Turkey, but ı want to buy this phone.I cant buy this phone in site,so can ı buy in any operators(AT&T,T-Mobile etc.) shop? And how is cost?
According to this:
http://www.worldtimezone.com/4g.html
3G is 2100 mhz, and no LTE yet
According to this
http://ltemaps.org/home/country/turkey
4G should be bands 3 and 7
Then according to this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_X_(2nd_generation)
XT1092, XT1095, XT1096, XT1097 have those bands
So i think you're good to go with any of these models, but i'm no expert, you should wait for someone else to confirm.
You can actually get the phone from ebay easily.
İ cant understand you.sorry, just say "can i buy this phone on foot" and how much is it cost? İ wanna mean no pure edition,i want to buy normal color

I understand English just fine. What I don't understand is how in this day and age, everybody still needs someone to hold their hand for simple crap such as doing a Google search to find out the of contract price of the Moto X. I just Googled it, and had no problem finding numerous retailers and prices for it. If I can do it, you should be able to as well.

You're probably not going to have an easy time finding one in a brick and mortar store that'll be unlocked and able to be used on your provider in Turkey. Why can't you buy it online? There's gotta be some other retailers that will ship it to you.

Also, realize in the US cheap phone prices ($99) are offered as part of a 2-year contract with the mobile companies. You will only get that price if you agree to stay on their service for 2 years. The most basic phone price (16 GB and standard back) will be $499. If Motorola won't ship, I would try Amazon.

$499 for the most basic phone. I'm not aware of the unlocked version being available off the shelf in any store. You could try Best Buy, but I doubt they will have them.
