My phone had a weird sumedges on it's back so I took a window cleaner to wash them out .
Then I realised that they weren't smudges but more like a loss of paint and what's worse is that the phone have lost more paint when I tried to wash it and you can see that in the htc logo .
Am I only one with this problem ? and is there a way to fix it ?

I don't have such problems with my phone, but I think it was a mistake to use a window cleaner as you completely destroyed the lacquer(varnish - don't know the correct word) layer and may have washed out actual paint layer. If it's not too bad with the paint itself, you can try to repolish the phone, but i'm not aware where it can be done (maybe some watch repair centers etc, you'll need to ask).

Neither did I. Had a bad experience with HTC one black. Scratches so easily. With the glossy finish of butterfly s, smudges are more visible with red and grey.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words, the picture below will explain most of my problem. I'm wondering if any other IS users out there have dirt in the same area pointed in the image? You can only see 3 particles, but in person the whole line between the 2 parts is filled with dirt or something.
If anyone else has had this, did you find a way to clean it? I've tried a needle but even that is too big to get in there. I know it's not much, but whenever I see it, it brings out the OCD in me.
Thanks for any help!

Try with paper, a simple A4 might do the trick since you can bend it and stuff... Usually works for me.

Sorry, I tried it and as much as the thickness is perfect, it wasn't rigid enough to be able to pick out the dirt. So not much improvement
Try a manual air pump brush. Watchmakers use it. Just google the picture of it, you will know what I am talking about.
But watch out, they are small but can provide pressure which can break microphones and speakers if you pump em directly.

One of those white screen flashlight apps and a sheet of plain white paper in front of the screen makes a perfect backlight for scanning old film negatives on a plain old flatbed scanner.... Lol.

Really very cool use, just go to try.
This post was supposed to be more of an advice on how to paint the car after getting hit. I was hit by my impatient roommate two days ago in our driveway and I went to get an estimate on the damage and was quoted $250. There are no dents and the scratches don't seem that bad so $250 seemed like a lot of money for what the issue is. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it SHOULD cost to fix this?

You should color it in the XDA color scheme, with a huge XDA logo on both doors.

It really isn't that hard to DIY a job like that yourself. I've painted many cars myself. All you really need is the right colour, and a spray gun, which is not that hard to borrow. For a small section like that you don't need a spray booth, though you may want a dropsheet for your driveway/shed floor.
Well just got my first tech armor screen protector for my nexus 7
Here are the pros:
Cheap (got three for $7)
Easily installed
No bubbles (minus a few pieces of dust that got stuck under it)
Feel very smooth
Responsiveness same as normal screen
Barely visible unless you look at the cut out
No discoloration
Con's: non so far

This is what I use for my n7 and I have zero complaints also.
Do you have any tips installing it? I have ruined 2 and couldn't manage to put one without any bubbles?
Follow the instructions peel half of the first later off from top to bottom and align appropriately then smooth it out as you peel off the first layout the rest of the way, afterwards there will be some bubbles just smooth them out with the wedge giving in the package some may take some pressure to get it completely gone

Use some screen cleaner to get as much of the dust as possible off of it. It really helps to cut down on the number of bubbles that are caused by dust.
The hardest part for me was just getting it centred and positioned properly. Must have taken me 7-8 tries.
My 2013 X is discolored from being in a purple case for quite a while, is there anything that could be recommended to safely clean it up? Thanks in advance.

I removed some stubborn stains with alcohol. I wouldn't recommend using a lot or on a regular basis, as it might begin to affect the composite material. A quick wipe should be fairly harmless, but no guarantees. Just sharing my experience. That white matte composite material is very prone to absorbing stains unfortunately. I thought about spraying it with a clear coat to protect it but at that point I figured I'd probably just buy a replacement back. Good luck.
Magic eraser?

Not trying to be funny. But I don't think you'll be able to clean it completely. Definitely one of the disadvantages of a white phone. Probably you should put some cover back on the phone.

I'm with @shubh_007 on this. That is why I prefer black over white. Slap on a new skin to cover the discoloration.
