I originally ported MIUI to the Galaxy Exhibit but currently can no longer directly support it. I bricked my Exhibit back in June and moved on to a GSM Galaxy Nexus. The warranty is still valid so I could return the Exhibit for repair, but that's not my main priority right now. I might return to help this phone in the future but for now other members of the community are updating and supporting this ROM. I just update the OP so thanks to them for bringing life to an underappreciated ROM and keeping my first official release alive.

This is a first test build. Most everything is working from MIUI. This is a ported build based on the GSM Galaxy Nexus 2.3.16 MIUI English US build from MIUI.us and the CyanogenMod 9 KANG build for the Exhibit II from jocala. The on-screen buttons are enabled in this build. I should remove them in the next release because they consume space on the screen. The screen turns to static when navigating through menus that dim the background (popup selection).
Installation:
This has the same issues as CM9 for the exhibit II. For example Camera and VoIP are broken for now. If you can't tolerate the issues don't use this.
Download The miui_ancora_target.zip 180.25 MB
Flash the zip file in recovery as you would any other normal ROM.
You must do a factory reset prior to booting into the new ROM or you will encounter FC's and UI issues.

Why don't you find out yourself? You can always ODIN back. Just a note, to be a tester you must be willing to test things yourself, otherwise why would you hold that title?
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda premium
Okay let me start this post saying that I have almost no sleep and hopefully will not fall asleep in the process of composing this like last time.
The last 18 hours or so has been a crazy process of emotions with rage at the MiCode PatchROM. At 9:20 AM dswaggz PM'ed me about the MIUI ICS source. I took a look on github and saw that the MiCode team had posted the ICS branch with good English instructions. I start up my virtual machine and download the source and it takes a while for me to get ADB working through Virtualbox. I setup the environment and execute the command that pulls everything from the phone and nicely packages it into a stockrom.zip when I finally get to the make fullota command I get a fatal error similar to the one that had stopped me on gingerbread. I look back at github and see that MIUIAnderson has posted a response to someone that has encountered the same problem. According to the MiCode team the Patchrom only works with actual OEM ICS stock ROMs. They had stopped supporting AOSP-based ROMs to due too many bugs.
Thinking about this realistically how many devices have a goal of the new MIUI and actually have a 4.0 stock ROM? This would limit the new MIUI to devices with official firmware updates and new devices running 4.0 right out of the box. Well what about the devices that won't get an upgrade? I thought about the Kindle Fire and remembered that they had an ICS version of MIUI even though there only stock version was 2.3.5. Searching around I found some more MIUI ROMs that were built on top of CM9 and other AOSP ROMs. Continuing to look around these forums I found a guide for a process that I now refer to as manual patching process or "manupatch". Since the Patchrom was so complex compared to this more basic method I couldn't believe it could work.
I had fused together a MIUI build from another device with the CM9 AOSP ROM from this device and it actually worked! So a big thanks to master expert porter proxuser here on xda. The link to that thread is in the OP.
I'm not sure if its just me but the stock browser seems so smooth and fast almost as if it has acceleration. I do notice that in certain parts of the user interface and browser that the screen starts flickering, pixelates with static, and generally freaks out. I think this might be some sort of GPU render bug since it gets worse when I enabled forced GPU acceleration. Maybe this is caused from using the Galaxy Nexus build as the source ROM, maybe its a glitch between the MIUI and CM parts in the target ROM.
I can't believe that of all things the su binaries for root access are missing. I kept wondering why root explorer wasn't working. I'm going to work on the device specifics for the exhibit in this ROM. Taking out the Updater app, ROM Manager, Status LED options, removing the on-screen buttons to allocate for more screen space, and switch out the boot animation.
When u add the su binaries I'm so down an maybe the method u used for this might work with gb u think kem

Omg 1st of all i want to thank you Kemikal for this release. 1 thing i notice is tht i get a tremendous lag on the UI but after a few reboots it went away. another BIG thing is that i get NOO lag when playing games which is just lovely. So is this based on Jocala's Cm9 .03 ? or .04
And are you planning to keep the galaxy nexus on screen buttons? Because im loving that also.

Yeah this rom is really fast with the browser too. This is built from .03
The next release will be built from .04 as it has just been updated a few hours ago. I will be dropping the on screen buttons as they take up space on the display. Maybe I can think of a way to set that as a toggle or something similar.
After another reset I don't see to be getting any of that crazy static. Everyone try to keep an eye out for any visual errors, like if the screen display gets distorted. I'm trying to rebuild CM9 to have a pure direct source for this ROM but I keep getting build errors and my computer keeps dropping connection to github again. So for now I'm just sticking with jocala's release builds as they are stable.
I'm switching to a SGS build for the MIUI parts so we'll see what happens with the next release. I also plan to port this to the Fire, Atrix, Optimus. My next release should be up by late tonight.

*** USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! WHILE I TRY MY BEST TO PROVIDE WORKING KERNELS/ROMS, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS SOFTWARE OR ANYTHING I'VE WORKED ON SUDDENLY FRIES YOUR DEVICE. ***
BEFORE YOU BEGIN MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A 2ND-BOOTLOADER INSTALLED CORRECTLY AND CAN SEE THE BLUE LOGO DURING BOOTUP:

In this build I do not have the HBOGO or Voice Plus patches yet.
Don't use the user swapping feature yet. It's very buggy. If you do happen to create a new user and swap, to fix the crazyness that happens, just delete the new user and reboot.

PLEASE BE SURE TO WIPE SYSTEM & DATA/CACHE (FACTORY RESET) WHEN COMING FROM AMAZON STOCK SOFTWARE.
(It's the "Wipe" button and then "System" and then "Factory Reset" button in TWRP -- this does NOT clear your sdcard space)
Be aware that the "sdcard" space has changed slightly from ICS to JB4.2. You will find your stock amazon OS files in /data/media/ or "sdcard" on the Stock OS. But CM10.1 will create a sub directory "/data/media/0" and call that "sdcard". And in TWRP it will also use "data/media/0" as "sdcard". This has to do with multi-user settings. So when placing files on the "sdcard" be sure to check both locations before wondering why that file is missing.
CHANGES:
[11/15] SElinux now included in the kernel and set to permissive. I don't recommend turning it to enforcing as I'm still debugging the "deny" messages.
[08/12] Includes a Trebuchet patch to fix the screen flip-flop when trying to drag an icon in landscape (by XDA user Wickets^)
[08/12] All new "from source" sensor driver
[08/12] Temp. disable light sensor (due to recode of sensor driver)
[07/31] First CM10.2 build
FEATURES:
3.0.50 kernel (up from a stock 3.0.21 kernel). This includes updates from Texas Instruments, Google and Kernel.org.
PowerVR Graphics Drivers: DDK [email protected] for Android (Jellybean compatible)
Updated bltsville libs to 2.2.2.0 (this is partial screen update code which enables smoother / faster screen draws)
Audio
Camera
Wifi
Bluetooth
Sensors
HWAcceleration
HD Codecs for YouTubeHD and Netflix
HDMI video out is now correct and work across several resolutions. YMMV
DEVS
BUILDING THIS ROM:
First, read through Google's Android website about "how to setup a build environment":
http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html
[ COMING SOON ]
SCREEN SHOTS:
CURRENT KNOWN ISSUES:
When long pressing icons in landscape mode to move them, etc the screen will flip upside down for a moment and right itself. This causes the action to be aborted.
Rotation selection in games is hit and miss. Some work perfectly and some like to flip the device upside down. Still debugging what is causing this.
AUDIO: Any decoder which uses Dolby surround current has a lower volume than the rest of the system (Netflix, Google Movies, etc). It's a WIP.
Sensors: Testing various sensors, gyro seems 90 degrees off, etc.
I don't have an LTE version so this is not enabled in current builds.
Are you going to keep on developing both this and the 4.2.2 ROM? Or should we switch to this ROM for the newest updates in the future?
By the way, thanks very much for all the effort you are putting in developing for and improving our devices. We all really appreciate it.

I am thinking about building the rom with LTE (hash says the code is all there) from the source. But I haven't used Linux from 2010 and have to setup the gear for doing this...em...
I also would like to get 4g LTE working. If you could dust off linux and put your skills to work, I am sure many will appreciate your efforts!
I am working on an experimental built for LTE users.
As soon as I get a ROM built, I'll post it up. There is a 100% chance that it's going to take quite a few tries to get it working. So not for the easily irritated.

Double check you're flashing the right GApps.
There seems to be an issue with the 'sdcard' link under Root - It is currently pointing at /data/media/legacy instead of /data/media/0 - This is causing some issues with apps that default to 'sdcard' including TitaniumBackup. Also, there is a 'Storage' under Root that points somewhere, which is causing issues with apps that default to '/storage' for their backup.
Status of this rom on my Kindle:
- as mentioned in changelog games are slower then on 10.1
- on 10.1 and 10.2 there are ocassions the screen rotation bug is still occuring. It happens within some games and after rotating in mx player.
Thanks and keep up your excellent work.
hi,
i'm new with Kindle Fire HD. tried this rom too and i think its very good :fingers-crossed:
gapps failure
Interesting issue going on here. i upgraded to this build (10.2-20130731-UNOFFICIAL-jem, and the latest Gapps to go with it. Note that i did not do a complete wipe, as i wanted the installed apps to remain. Upon reboot, i have a notification from pretty much every app i have installed on the device that "update for "(application name) could not be downloaded due to an error. (error retrieving information from server.[RPC:S-5:AEC-0]) i ge the same error if i try to download anything from the play store also. any thoughts?
Edit: restored back to previous backup, allowed all updates to take place first, then redownloaded the rom and gapps. A quick reflash using goo manager and everything seems to be working now. @Hashcode - another fantastic rom. only issue i still have the the screen rotation when long pressing icons in landscape mode. a very small price to pay for all the awesomeness.

The ROM is being updated to kernel version 3.4, that was already released to RazrM and for XT926. The kernel 3.4 depends on new bootloader version and XT925 doesn't have it yet (a leak exists, you can search xda).
As Nadlabak and dhacker29 already informed, the M8 will be the last release supporting devices with JB bootloader. All nightly builds will support only new bootloader.

From Carbon have the unlock function with volume keys, that works too. I did not find it in CM, but works.
I flashed superuser.
Till now all is working great. No FC.

Hi guys,
Just flashed here and I´m still testing... Used CWM 6.0.4.4 without any glitches. Flashed Core GAPPS , the minimal one (17mb) with only core code. I also flashed SuperSU 1.6.5 as I don´t like Superuser.
It´s working like a charm!
I didn´t like the launcher, so I exchanged to Nova Laucher as I always used it.
Anomalies found:
- External SDCard doesn´t work.
- Tiles for Radios/GPS/Bluetooth on notification screen doesn´t work to switch the function on-off. It just leads to config screen.
- Sound poping/cracking playing FLAC files. Tried Apollo and PlayerPro. I don´t have any MP3 local to test, will try later. But working flawless with streaming sound. I used 8Track and Cloudaround and the sound is perfect.
Oh, just FYI Viper4Android is working flawlessly without any issue!
For a "first build", it´s almost perfect, just few bugs. Epinter, congratulations!
I´ll test GPS and Bluetooth Audio on car as soon as I´m out for lunch.
Tested this. Works great on my Atrix HD. Video playback and external SD seem to be the only bugs for me. Found myself a new daily driver for now.

No tethering
No GPS
A lot of menu options off
Some 3G lost signals
SMS and MMS ok
It's ok for a preview.

I also tested bluetooth audio and is working fine.
I'll test tethering.

Now GPS is normal? If not, try restore a backup where it locks, reboot with it locked then clean flash KK, might work.
I think white status bar icons are a feature of KK, not a bug. It won't go blue as previous versions. Check if your playstore is connecting and your Google account is syncing normal, it's all set.
Tethering is down. Might not been implemented yet.
I checked video recording is working fine so local video playback, using mx player. But streaming video from YouTube app or any other site from web is not working.
And lock screen rotation too, may not be present yet.
Any other feature is awesome.

Tks.
I know there is some bugs, and CM 11 almost is ok.
But something very wrong happened. I lost wifi. Not turn on. No connection anymore. I put sotck system by rsdlite, but even that, wifi not turn back. WIFI-AP not turn on too. I think it burned. Is there some way to test if really burned?
Tks again.

The purpose of this thread is to show the current status of CM 11 (Android 4.4 KitKat) on the P990 (LG Optimus 2X) and to discuss the various builds that may appear.
I will try to keep this post updated with the latest info about CM 11 for our p990. If you guys find new information that you think should be in this post, then please make a post about it.
Please remember that there is no support for any bugs you might find in builds listed here!
You are very welcome to post about stuff that is broken, which has not been discovered before and I will then include it in the working / not working section below.
Status:
@tonyp have released a new test build (cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-p990) and here are his notes for it:
tonyp said:

As always thx to @hjuuni for his great work, without him this wouldn't be possible.
The kernel is NOT updated! Do that yourself.
The PerformanceControl app you'll find in the Appdrawer is there by accident and is a _different_ version than the one baked into the settings.
Don't use it, or just remove the apk from /system/app.
The reason for stuff like that is simple: This is an alpha testbuild for myself which I'm just sharing because I haven't released anything in a while and am going to be busy again during the next days.
Once I do a proper release I will of course polish it.
So don't complain, if you do I just don't share the testbuilds anymore, easy as that :cyclops:

The working / not working list looks a little better for this build and the changes are great, so I think it is just a matter of stability if you are thinking about running this build as a daily driver. I can't conclude anything about stability just yet though.
If you dirty flash this build over your current CM 11 ROM then remember to do this first:
pengus77 said:
For those of you having issues with the hardware keys (not working after dirty flashing) I found reason and solution
Most probably you had (like me) the google keyboard selected as default before flashing the new build... which removes it. This leaves the rom without a default input system, which in turn blocks also the events from the hw buttons (excluding home apparently). To fix this, just go to settings -> input and click the little settings icon on the right of the aosp keyboard. By doing this, that keyboard will become the new default one and everything will work again. Have fun

The previous build (cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990) is working very well as a daily driver if you can live without BT calls and wifi tethering.
The builds come with kk alpha 15 by @pengus77 and a mini gapps package.
To read more about the status of the KK 3.1 kernel check this thread: [KERNEL][stable: M1 (2.6.39.4) - exp: Alpha 28 (3.1.10)] Kowalski Kernel.

Changelogs
cm-11-20140120-UNOFFICIAL-p990 by @tonyp:
Ported my TheROM hardwarekeys customization options (open power menu, screen off, toggle torch, take screenshot, toggle last app).
If someone is wondering, personally I do the following changes:
double press home: power menu
long press menu button: screen off
short press search: recent apps switcher
long press search: In-app search
Added my dynamic Quickmemo support which activates when you flash the (CM10.2) Quickmemo app. Untested!
Replaced CMs performance menu with Omnis PerformanceControl.
It's been a bit more work than I hoped, but it's really nice imo (as it's fully baked into the Settings app, which I like a lot :good
This hides the zRAM preferences currently, though (so you'd have to disable it via the build.prop if for whatever reason you don't like zram).
Cheerypicked the commit which keeps the InCallUI in memory (thx @pengus77 for discovering it)
debloated and slimmed down the ROM (CM Updater etc. stuff gone). Forgot the Movie Studio which will go in the next version
Updated mini gapps to 4.4.2
Synced (mainly) to CM11 M2 (this might be related to the issues, I'll try a full nightly build once I find the time)
Pre-included BarcodeScanner (as I use it to connect to my wifi after a full wipe).
Using tegra2 optimized bionic instead of the generic one, thx to @Firtecy. No idea if this has an impact.
Removed Google Dialer and Google Keyboard. You can flash them yourself if you want them.
Edit: Oh I almost forgot, fixed some permissions (mainly bluetooth related), but I have no idea if this has any effect.
I don't have any bluetooth devices here.
Lowered overall vibration intensity.
cm-11-20131226-UNOFFICIAL-p990 by @tonyp:
switch to bcmdhd & 3.1 kernel (kk alpha 15)
fully fixed internal storage
removed the CM crap (CM Account, CMUpdater, CMFota)
synced to the newest CM11 sources

An earlier test build had non oft the hot reboots wheb turning screen off. It seems to something with the surfaceFlinger, but not directly the surfaceflinger. But it is something in frameworks/native.
The first testbuild was quite stable related to hot reboots. But there are problems related to SD card, wifi, camera...

I'm glad to hear that hasn't been a consistent issue. I noticed tonyp wrote some notes about the build from 02/12 being more stable with regards to the hot reboots. I haven't tested that build myself though. Thanks for the info and keep up the good work.
I just tested the latest build from 6/12 and updated the working / not working section accordingly. You will notice that I added some logs in case you guys are interested.
I try port kernel from android.googlesource.com/kernel/tegra/+/android-tegra-3.10/, anyone insterested, please give me a hand

I just tested build cm-11-20131202-UNOFFICIAL-p990 and it seems quite stable as I had 0 hot reboots during the hour that I was testing. The hot reboots when turning the screen off is also gone, just like @Firtecy said earlier. The build have no gapps though. Apart from the hot reboots this build have almost the same issues as two most recent ones. Check it out in the working / not working section.

Thats right and because of that i use the libgui, libui, and libsurfaceflinger from that build if i need a stable build regards of hot reboots.
That works for nearly all new CyanogenMod builds i made.
So you can test other builds, but when you get a dark screen, just push the libs to /system/lib/ and reboot. For me it worked several times. But when cm update their sources in next time, i don't know if it still works.

CM11 ROM for SU660 maybe help our developers. It is said that it doesn t have hot reboots and works ok.Here is a link of this rom:
http://d-h.st/hU8
I've built a new version, which should fix most of the apparent issues.
No constant hot reboots anymore and a working camera :good:
Edit: It appears only the preview works, actually taking pictures doesn't.
The external SD card doesn't get mounted properly yet, but apart from that it should be fairly stable to use (although I still wouldn't recommend it as a daily driver).
Note that this does still ship with the Kowalski Kernel. The 3.1 kernel will make a huge difference once it's fully ready.
Getting the kernel stable now should be the first priority now I think, if that turns out great the future of KitKat should be a lot brighter.
Unfortunately i'm extremely busy and will continue to be so, this is just a quick build I've been working on every now and then.
It might as well be the last one I'll be able to make until next year
Huge thanks to @hjunii, this is largely based on his SU660 build.
Download:
http://tonyp.basketbuild.com/index.php?dir=main/CM-11.0/
Edit: some more notes regarding the build:
I've enabled each and every of the low RAM configs. This does disable some of the nice animations and apparently even the transparent statusbar but in return it will result in a smoother device experience.
Some of these effects will get enabled again at a later stage, I just wanted to see which measures kitkat does offer for low end devices.
I did not yet do any customizations to the build whatsoever apart from the needed changes.
I would suggest you remove/disable/freeze the CM Updater, it's useless as we don't have official support anyways and it takes about 2mb of ram.
(but even with the included gapps we do have >120mb free ram after a reboot, Google really brought down the ram usage of their apps & framework!)
Allow me some general advice:
Pretty please do not constantly ask all those people who're working on pushing the device forward about their progress.
You might not believe it, but they will tell you if there is anything new that's worth mentioning.
I'm seeing all development threads cluttered by meaningless posts, it's insane.
Yes, I know at the 2x (and in general at xda) the development section is often misused for unimportant comments and this might not be a problem when a ROM is established and only gets minor updates.
But ask yourself if you're doing yourself a favor if you're making useless posts in the dev threads which will make it harder for the devs to find the rare useful posts somewhere between all those spam.
(This does not apply to this very thread as far as I'm concerned as it's in the general section - but ultimately it's @Fíghter02's decision as he's the OP).
Fantastic tonyp, just fantastic thanks
I had install today's version everything work perfect very fast fluid just only thing about sdcard like the first picture that sdcard report error AND I prefer to use external SD as sdcard0 and internalSD as sdcard1 so I push some script into /etc/init.d and bingo other picture.
IF someone want to try just push 99kmount file into /etc/init.d and set permission to rwxr-xr-x OR wait for tonyp add feature of switch sdcard like the previous rom has in setting.
EDIT 99kmount file content for script are
#!/system/bin/sh
mount -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702 -t vfat /dev/block/vold/179:11 /storage/sdcard1
mount -o rw,dirsync,nosuid,nodev,noexec,uid=1000,gid=1015,fmask=0702,dmask=0702 -t vfat /dev/block/vold/179:17 /storage/sdcard0
SORRY IT seem to be trouble with camera so please do not use it just delete file if you create it SO it will be back to tonyp default.

THERE WILL BE NO MORE UPDATES HERE!
This thread hasn't been updated in a while as I'm working on mainline support and a kernel 5.10 release for the Note 10.1. There are excellent releases of Android 9+ from @html6405 now and I don't intend on updating this thread. I'll leave everything as is, but don't expect me to view this thread on a regular basis. Most questions are already answered, use the search.
For the new mainline kernel version, please don't ask for any ETAs, there's still some things to be fixed before there will be an official release and I have a normal life to take care off.
If you have experience with kernel / ROM development and want to help me out? Leave me a message, I'd appreciate any helping hand no matter how much you can contribute, every little bit helps. Even looking at the device tree and giving me hints would be great as I would still consider myself being intermediate at best at putting everything together, it's just a lot to dig into with the little time I have.

Hi, I'm currently trying to get this device officially supported again as I really love it and it never let me down in the last 5 or so years. It still works amazingly fast and I have no need to replace it with anything else.
As I'm a Java engineer for my day job there is a lot of new stuff here, I had some contact with C/C++ when I studied CS a couple of years ago but never actually wrote anything bigger than two or three files in these languages. This is quite an adventure and I learned a lot already but I'm open for any help you can offer. After all, I'm doing this for fun and getting better at whatever hits me in the face while doing it.

FAQ
Q: Why another thread?!?
A: The ROM provided by @lirokoa is great but it is based on sources that deviated quite a lot from the official LOS repo, I try to close this gap and get the ROM aligned to the remaining devices based on the SMDK4412 core so that everbody profits from the development going on there. This ultimately means that we can get a 8.x alpha version "soon" after fixing the remaining issues.
Q: How can I help to improve the ROM?
A: If you are a developer, I'd be happy to discuss the remaining issues with you and how to approach/solve them. I'm open for pull requests on Github. If you are testing the ROM and can provide log files for issues this is also a great thing, even more so if it is one of the devices I do not own.
Q: What's up with the performance?
A: Disable Live Display, it's actually not supported by the GPU (or at least by the current driver)
Q: The camera is crashing!
A: Use Open Camera
Q: Wifi attempts to connect but never succeeds!
A: Try reflashing again, including wiping. This usually fixes it.

Wow!
thank your development for this old Pad.
will try it in a free time.
: )
Downloading. Will post some feedbacks later. Thanks for continuing the development on this old brick. ?
i couldn't get secretwolf98 version to install on my n8013 so i am keen to see if this one will install for me when the n801x version is ready
There is a new build with basic camera support, the back camera has some issues with recording videos which will crash your camera app. I noticed that activating the torch while having the camera app open in the background/foreground will also crash the camera app, so still some issues there.
The work on the camera will go on after the big party, I wish everyone a good start into 2019
I still use 2 of these and thank you for getting back into it. Using lineage 14.1 now. Will keep watching.
Great. I've just incidentally gone back to this forum after a long time to check if there's any newer ROM than lirokoa's for my N8000
I'll check it out. Thanks a lot
Got it all installed - but can't get over an error code 190 ("can't download app")when trying to install chrome. Unsure if this is rom related or gapps related.
Also flashed the 14.1 su package - works well with the rom as expected. Youtube from the play store does not work - plays audio but no video. Other than that as I play with this I'll see if I can find any other bugs. Really appreciative of you picking this up!
Thank you very much for continuing the development of this tablet!
My N8000 is presently running on lirakoa's latest build lineage-14.1-20170810-UNOFFICIAL-n8000 with open gapps micro and as root solution Magisk 18.0.
Recovery is TWRP 3.02.
Everything is working fine except the well known bugs, and it seems that most of these have been fixed in your latest build.
I've never tried video recording with this tablet but had some camera crashes recently when using the ClearScanner app, in fact it's not usable with this app.
Otherwise I think it's usable as daily driver, and it was.
My daughter used it for university until recently.
So, as far as I understand, your build should be on the same level and I'm gonna try it very soon.
Do you think a dirty flash could work?

Not quite yet, lirokoa put some effort in the ROM and there are probably things that I don't know about yet which are broken. See my last quote above for example. I'm still learning the inner working of the linux kernel and Android which is quite a huge task.

It could work but there is no guarantee as always. There are some changes here and there which can potentially break it.

The 190 issue was fixed with a reflash and and formatting my system. Took 3 times - not sure but I think it was on my end. The youtube however is still at issue. I was able to view in browser w/o issue though. It is just the app. Side loaded a bunch of older APKs of youtube with same result.

I can confirm your observations. Chrome is running smooth but the youtube app is only giving me audio with a black video stream.

It is really good ROM for N8000! But it seems not all video codecs are switched on in assembly. Except YouTube any IPTV application does not work, there is no video in Instagram (the still image of the first frame only) and in browsers many videos cannot be reproduced too.
Samsung SmartThins and Samsung Galaxy Apps application and is not started too. Sadly, as I remember, only from Galaxy Apps can be install the S-Pen application. By the way, somebody knows where to take .apk for Samsung Galaxy Apps? And how to work with the stylus?
Thank you very much for this ROM I'm new here on XDA, however I have recently flash this ROM to my n8013 it's running pretty good, but I have 2 issues so far.
First, I'm having some troubles accessing to my wifi network, I have a Spectrum router which have 2g and 5g but it keep saying that the password may be incorrect, I have try many apps so far changing settings on my router but no success; but when I go with my phone on Hotspot I can get access and establish connection.
I'm also trying to get root access, I already flash the path for LineageOS 14.1 but when I go to developers I can't get access to the manage option. And when I run the root checker app I shows that I don't have root access.
Thanks,

Have you tried Magisk for root already?

UPD.
Found Samsung Galaxy Apps. It's no S-Pen application too. There is a Google hand-written input. It is possible to cost them also and not to found S-Pen any more.
So, will be great if there is a video's full support and will earn Samsung SmartThins and if earns the IR-port for control of household appliances (now does not work on N8000). After everything it will be a masterpiece!
many thanks for the new build :good:

for me it worked
There is an issue with decoding the video stream but I'm not quite sure what's the root cause yet. Still investigating.
