Hi guys, am having a few issues connecting to my HP wireless printer. I have installed the same software on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with Omega rom and my wife's iPad/iPhone and have had no issues but it does not seem to want to connect on my Nook HD+ with Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 installed.
Any ideas what I could try to solve this? Is there a way to check ports on the device or anything like that? I have connected the printer to my router so everything goes through that. Also I "reverted" Adfree to see if it was that although my phone has it installed anyway.
Cheers

I'm trying to find a way to use my Iphone 4 data plan (3G) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Wi-Fi Only) through the USB cable/adapter but no luck so far.
I'm currently using the ROM Task Rom 9.0 on the tablet so Ad-Hoc is enable and I've been able to tether to the Iphone through Wi-Fi, however it drains my phone's battery pretty quickly.
I do have the Samsung USB adapter but when the Iphone is connected to the GT it only allows me to copy photos. It doesn't recognize the USB tethering.
Does anyone have any tip or advise???
I guess the same procedure could be applied to any cellphone regardless of the OS.

Note that this is the ORIGINAL 7" Tab section - you might have better luck in the 10.1 Tab section.
Other than that can't help sorry
I hadn't noticed sorry.
Thanks anyway.
Has anyone managed to get bluetooth tether to a mobile phone working?
I know my phone is set up properly because from my laptop I can tether to it over bluetooth.
When I try it from my HD+, the phone reports that a client is connected - but the HD+ says "no internet connection".

I'm on a Galaxy s3 and I can't seem to get to to connect for blue tooth tethering without connecting to the wife tether first. If you can tell me how to circumvent the wife connection, I'd be glad to check. What type of phone do you have?
Sent from my Nook HD
I am not sure that I understand your message.
Based on what you described, I tried first using wifi tether from the tablet to the phone (worked perfectly) and then tried switching to bluetooth tether. But the result is the same - bluetooth tether is connected but the Nook HD+ says "no internet connection".
For reference, my phone is a ZTE Skate running "Paranoid Android" which is based on Cyanogenmod 9.

Have you followed this set of instructions. http://www.scaine.net/site/2013/01/android-to-android-tethering-over-bluetooth/
Nook HD+ running CM10.1 (as well as stock Nook HD+) is not recognizing PDANet wifi hot spot generated on iPhone 3gs ios 5.1.1. Reading the Nook users forum, this is a common problem. I thought that CM10.1 would use a different wifi software section than the nook native; but apparently the problem has not changed when CM is used.
Speculation in the Nook user forums is that WEP is not supported by Nook.
Is WEP supported by Android?
There are many flames in the user forums about don't use WEP. PDANet ONLY uses WEP. You cannot turn off authentication or use a different protocol.
I am welcome to other suggestions for wifi tethering Nook HD+ with CM to iphone 3gs ios 5.1.1. No, I cannot upgrade ios; for jailbreak reasons.
I have been able to tether using Nook bluetooth, but that is only one device at a time.
First post on XDA but been viewing this site for a while and found it brilliant when I was rooting my Nook HD+, and then for side loading and lots of other things... so thank you for that!
Im taking my Nook HD+ somewhere that does not have wifi but I have an unlimited data plan on my Blackberry Curve 9300.
The issue is this just happens to be the last model of phone before the OS 7 update which allows you to hotspot the phone.
I know you can tether it to a PC via USB cable or bluetooth. So I was wondering if there is away to tether it to the Nook?
I'm going to say it depends more on the BB and app than on the HD+.
When I go fishing, and I want to watch a movie or just surf the web, I will occasionally tether my HD+ to my Droid X via WiFi no problems.
Does that answer your question?
Thanks for the reply.
I know the bb can tether to a PC and to playbooks using blackberry bridge.
Obviously I can connect the bb and nook via bluetooth but after that I'm not sure what to do because all the tethering apps seem to be for android to android, or android to PC/Mac.
I tried asking this question in a bbforum but got no response so figured it might be worth approaching it from the other side.
The tethering would just be for surfing, doubt I will be watching movies as I normally load my nook up before travelling
Cheers.
Has anyone managed to accomplish bluetooth or usb tethering on nook hd tablet? I have wifi connection on my tablet and I want to use that internet connection to pc via nook. My pc has no wireless card. I have bluetooth card in my pc. So anyone who have any idea about some apps, xposed module, modifying the kernel, flashing some zips that enables bluetooth or usb tethering please let me know. Don.'t ask me to buy wireless card for pc. Thanks.

For < $10 you can get usb wifi directly from your pc. Makes more sense imo -> http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref...words=usb+wifi+adapter&ie=UTF8&qid=1418427139
I tested easytether app and it will not see my nook hd+ with cm11 m12 whereas adb does see the device and works too. With my phone, easytether found that right away. So I would think something is disabled in the kernel, but could be wrong despite the fact that tethering is obviously missing from android settings and that means something.
Finally I've managed usb tethering via nook hd
I used PDAnet+ app on both pc and nook hd. It installed ADB drivers and with simple setup I was able to share internet connection.
