Speakerphone to speakerphone - Nexus 5 General

One feature that of the Nexus 5 that I have never experienced in another cell phone or smart phone is that when you put the Nexus 5 on speakerphone (built in or bluetooth) and the person you are calling is on speakerphone, both parties can actually hear each other. This is great! I could not do this on my Galaxy Nexus, nor any previous smart phone for that matter.

Lolwut?

I guess because the microphone is very good - Google Now works from miles away by that I mean across the room...

Kinivo BTH220 Bluetooth Headphones NOT Compatible?

Weird, my Nexus 10 can't find the Kinivo BTH220. These are very popular, inexpensive bluetooth cans. From Amazon reviews they are reported to work with Nexus 7. Anyone else have problems? I'm stock for now on the Nexus 10.
Tried to pair my Kinivo BTH220's as well - same issue. Doesn't find them. I'm too much of a noob to offer a solution but wanted you to know you're not alone with this question. Wonder what's going on with the N10, they work perfectly with my phone...

BTW - I'm rooted, so it doesn't appear to make a difference either way.

I'm having a similar issue with my Motorola s10 HD
Surprisingly no issues connecting to car audio

Don't know enough about Bluetooth. Possible the N10 doesn't have the right frequency or radio to support these headphones?

Incompatible bluetooth stack?
Oh No...this is not compatible with Google Nexus 1.
OMG. Is this headphone not compatible with Android devices?
My google nexus one (rooted) is not able to discover the headphone at all.
Is this headphone only working for Apple products and Windows 7?
On the manual, it should work with Android devices though.
I'm hijacking this thread since I searched the forum for bth220, but my kinovo's aren't working on my HTC One X+. Can pair with my car.
Hmm, not sure what's going on, but I have those headphones and they work great on my nexus 10.

I found this from a review on Amazon: ... I contacted Kinivo when I had some difficulty pairing the headphones with my Nexus 10. It turns out the pairing difficulty was my fault (I was making the Nexus 10 bluetooth visible to devices but forgot to also have it search for devices). Kinivo responded almost immediately and walked me through the correct setup. Bottom line, buy the Kinivo product, you won't be disappointed!
Update: I tried again with Nexus 10 and paired ok. I'm not sure what the problem was.

I used it with my GS3 just this morning. Try this. Turn off the headphones. Enable bluetooth on the phone. Hold down the power button on headphones for 10 seconds or so until the lights flash. On the phone scan for new bluetooth devices. It should pair.

It just ok. Cuts out occasionally when not fully charged. I still use with an S3.
These headphones are great. I have 2 sets, one at work and one at home. The company is awesome too. A friend of mine had a pair crap out on him and Kinivo sent him a replacement free of charge and didn't even ask for the old ones back.

Does phone have he quality calls

I'm on 3 UK and just spoke to my wife who is also on 3
The call seemed different than normal and was like I was stood next to her

It's got sense voice which is kinda like hd voice calls I guess. Also has to microphones so a dual membrane layout for noise cancellation and to help record better audio in videos.

Sense is just a UI overlay for Android; it doesn't really have anything to do with HD voice. The noise cancellation from the dual microphones that you mentioned is more for the benefit of the person on the other end of the call and probably wouldn't help him hear his wife much (unless she also had the HTC One or another HD Voice-equipped phone).

The service provider also needs to support it. It's possible that it was HD voice as 3 launched it in May of 2011.

[Discussion] Your thoughts on 'Tablet Phones'?

I am not talking about phablets here. I am talking about a 7 inch tablet that you are using, and you get a GSM call. Then, you put it to your ear and talk.
EXAMPLE:Asus Padfone
WHAT I THINK: I think its a horrible idea. Phablets are now gaining traction and I have no objections to that. While, the Padfone, is...... CRAZY. I would never buy it. Now would you buy it? Explain.

I used text+ on my Nexus 7 to make phone calls when they ran a promotion before Christmas. It worked alright on speaker phone. But will never be my daily driver. As a backup if my phone is dead is acceptable.

I agree . the idea is quite mad, if it was always on speaker or video chat that's one thing but to your ear? Not for me

I make phone calls on my iPad. Works great.

crackling sound with a voice

I have my galaxy gear from att running stock with a few sideloaded apps. I have really enjoyed using the watch and use s voice for responding to texts. However the speaker sometimes sounds crackly. I don't know if I can fix it or need to take it back to att.
Any advice?
Yeah I'm having the same issue I returned the first one I had cause of that issue I'm rooted and on null 18

The farther I am from my phone when using s-voice, the worse it gets. If I'm next to my phone, it's fine. Go upstairs and phone down, it's crackly. I feel it's not the speaker but just the relay between phone and gear is weak, like when I used blue tooth headsets and would push the limits on distance.

i have same issue while using mostly at time the svoice app... thought it was a defect but sounds like a app on the most part

Omg thank you so much. Was blowing my mind how music/video, sound just fine. While S Voice kept cracking "manly used it when phone was away on charger" kept cracking. Then I put it in my pocket while standing and sound just fine.

Bluetooth head phones skip while moving

So I bought a pair of powerbeats2 but when I walk or put my phone in my pocket the music will skip really bad, I updated my beats and I'm on pure Nexus from and I just can't get it to stop skipping, when I put my phone in front of me and don't move then it works just fine. Anyone know a fix for this?

Sounds like the BT signal is getting blocked by your body.
This happens to me as well if I put my phone in my back pocket.

It happens to me when i bought a new BT headset. I return the BT headset and get a replacement and no issue now same custom rom.
