Will someone please help me!?

lately my hero has not been connecting to my pc. when i plug it to my pc it only charges, but does not ask if i want to use a disk drive or HTC SYNC, its as if my sd card doesnt exist. im using kingston 4gb microsd hc. please someone help, i dont know what to do. at first formatting would fix it, but now doin that wont even work. but with no zips on my sd card, it causes my rom to freeze periodically. (ive tried other sd cards and another pc it still did not work)

can you use adb at all and if so can you cd into the sd card?

man, idk what any of that even means, i havent been using xda long at all.

How did you go from the 2GB to the 4? What steps?

Are you on a 2.1 ROM?
Or are you on a stock 1.5

Have you tried pulling down the notification window and tapping on "Charge Only"??

when i connect it to the pc those options dont even show up in the notifciations bar

Can you choose if you go to: Menu>Settings>Connect to PC ??

yea but it does nothing. trust me ive tried it all. ive even tried connecting usb via the recovery boot menu

Hmm... If you tried in recovery... it can't be the ROM. So my next guess is the computer.
1. Don't know if this is necessary but do you have the latest drivers?
2. Have you tried on another PC??

yes i have, but both cpu's are running windows xp. i dont know why it would be the computer, since ive been able to connect easily up until recently.

when I turn on the phone restarts continuously at htc logo ... it turn on only when connected with cable to pc .. the phone does not see the sd and the pc does not see the phone .. I have already done hard reset but nothing.. I can not use adb and go into recovery(because the pc doesn't see the phone!) ... what should I do? please help me..

dudddeeeee calm down. let me start off by saying your phone is fine so relax. do you have an sdcard reader or something? basically something that will allow you to put a file on the sdcard and then back into the phone? cause all you gotta do is use this "update.zip" thingy. basically you go into recovery, press some buttons and then bam clockworkmod recovery. and then from there u just do a wipe and put on a rom that works (to provide you with more comfort, as im typing this my phone is actually bricked as well lol cause ive been waiting like 10 min for it to start since i put this new rom on. so ill just quickly fix that) let me know if u can get something to read ur sdcard and ill provide you with more info

i'm following this guide..i have problem with connecbot..when i type the commands it says no such file...but in my sd there are the files!!!...

I resolved with this guide..thanks at all guys!!!

Help please - I tried to upgrade to CM6.1, have done it s few times i the past with great success and no idea what went wrong. believe i accidentally wipe Davik Cache. The Rom loaded, but now I'm unable to mount SD Card. I'm also unable to use ADB on WIN7 Ultimate suddenly. Have read numerous threads and google topics and have tried several solution.
1. modify google usb driver ( R8 SDk pakage)to include legend
2. various versions of HTC Sync to get the drivers.
3. using Deview to remove all HTC devices, etc
Is there anyway to mount the SD Card without ADB, then to recovery and flashing again?

[Q] Galaxy Note Recovery

I downloaded the latest CM10 ROM but when I was flashing it I came across an error, and now I have no other ROM on my phone so I need to transfer one from my PC, but it doesn't go past recovery mode. So i searched XDA and found an answer that said to MOUNT USB from recovery on clockwork mod, but that didn't help, my PC doesn't recognize the phone except as an unknown device, i.e i cant explore it and drivers i found on XDA didn't help to recognize the device. Please help. I have the new CM10 ROM downloaded and ready, how do I transfer it to my phone?

Use a card reader if you have an external SD card in your Note.

well i don't have a microSD card reader, i have an SD card reader on my laptop. but isn't there anyway to do it via PC? it used to recognize my phone fine until this happened

Cant put in download mode?

i dont know which rom were u on before... but i am on stock 404 with philz kernel which has cwm v6.0.1.4 semi touch recovery..
just tried.. booted into recovery... mounts and storage.. mount USB drive..
its shows both the internal storage and SD card.. so it works..

actually no.. i just have kies installed and samsung ADB drivers

if u can put it in download mode u can download a GB rom and install it and then bootup ur phone and do wat u wanted

thanks to all of you, but i didn't have access to internet at that time, i got a microUSB reader and transfered the file. now i'll backup so such noob stuff doesn't happen again :/

[Q] Bricked Htc one m7ul

Hallo I'm New on Xda and i am having a problem with my htc One m7
I recently Unlocked my phone with Htcdev.com and i installed Twrp.
Then i was using Cyanogenmod for some time but decided to go back to stock.
Then there was not a problem but till a week ago it started to get in a loop.
It would be on at the home screen for like 10-20 seconds then rebooted.
i solved it by clearing cache today i had the same problem and tried the same thing only it didnt worked.
now i want to put a diffrent rom on my phone but there is a problem fast boot doesnt recognize usb
i have tried everything drivers diffrent usb port 2.0 ( i Have windows 7 )
I am searching for like 4 hours for the solution so i thought why not make my own thread.
So if anyone has a Idea no mather what please and i mean PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Disconnected the phone from the computer then reboot the computer. Does the phone now show up in Device Manager? If not change USB cables and try again. If the computer recognizes the phone, then you can move files to the phone.

I did it and now it recognise but now my problem is twrp says that there is no os how can i put a new os in it? and i can't see it in the device manager ;(

To solve the no OS part, just flash a guru reset or a nandroid backup for your device.

That is the problem i can't flash anything because my pc doesnt recognize my phone when i try adb Devices or Fastboot
so i don't understand anything anymore. i just want this to be over with,
btw i tried installing drivers tool-kits etc but nothing worked maybe i need to use a diffrent Pc?

I've never really experienced connecting my device to the PC won't work. Sorry.
Just buy an OTG cable and put the ROM in a USB and plug it to the OTG cable so you will be able to install the ROM. If you successfully installed the ROM try connecting your device to the PC again.

For the os issue this Frequently Asked Questions - Page 3 Ans E post will help.
If you are still connected to the computer when you are in Recovery, Device Manager will disconnect when the phone boots in bootloader or recovery.

Question the phone got crazy and rebooting himself

mi 11 pro with 12.5.12 stable
sorry to ask for the second time , but suddenly the phone began to rebooting himself again and again and when im entering the twrp and try to reboot system im getting a list with a few red raws writing something about error in system .
i dont know how to stop it and i cant do anything with my phone .

Try to copy the ROM from the computer to USB and USB to ur phone

Hi,
i always use an USB-Stick for the ROM's to flash. Just to be sure i can see an zip to flash under every circumstances. (Except those phones which need to be flashed over USB - but the ROM is visible on the PC)
