Awesome. Trying it now.
Sounds like a great Rom in progress! Hope all goes well!
Wow flashed this Rom and everything is so smooth and fast, great job dude!
Damn it...I thought I was cured! Back to flashing.

Just tried flashing this. Not getting any 3G or 1x data at all. LTE is connecting, though. Everything else seems to be working great.
Thanks, dev.
Is there a specific version of TWRP or CWM that you recommend for flashing this?
I'm not in a position to test 4G, however 3G is working well.

Everything seems to work good (4G,Data,Camera and everything else I tried) except when I restore SMS from titanium it shows the messages then they all disappear. Phone log restores great though. Thanks for the 4.4.
Edit: Going to try sms backup and restore, they say it doesnt restore because of hangouts.

Gotta say this is the best 4.4 ROM that I've tried so far. It gets my seal of approval.

You're getting 3G? What the heck? I've tried this rom, the CM11 build and Garwyn's 4.4 AOKP build. For some reason I cannot get 3G/1x to work no matter what I try on Gummy/CM11, but it works fine on the AOKP build.

It has nothing to do with Hangouts. To restore sms, you have to set the backup app to the default text message app in the settings. KitKat only allows the app you set as default to write to the sms database. After you're done restoring, switch the default message app to an actual messaging app (Hangouts/Messaging/GoSMS/Whatever).

Yeah I figured that out. I just don't know how or if titanium can do that. Thanks for the help.

Same here. No 3G. But it works on Garwynn's build.
Kiekan--are you on an MVNO? On Garwynn's build, I get the "Roaming indicator off" carrier label, so I wonder if that's a factor.
Has anyone flashed with Philz recovery? What's the recommended way to flash? With twrp?

Nope. I'm on Sprint. I really just don't get how other people are having no issues with data, while it just refuses to connect for some. I have no data issues at all on 4.3 roms.

Liquid Smooth 2.2 OFFICIAL
CHANGELOG HERE
2.2.1 BugFix update
Kernel fixes
Added script to fix wifi on reboot if calibration gets interupted during first boot.
Updated Advanced settings with reboot on selection.
Important Links
LiquidSmooth Download: Goo.IM maserati
LiquidSmooth Nightlies: Goo.IM by date then look for device
Google Apps Package 3/01/13 for 4.2.2
Installation:
Make sure you have SafeStrap 3.11 or higher HashCode's how-to-safestrap
These builds are KEXEC and work on any stock system version
Reboot and hit menu at the SafeStrap splash screen
Create Rom-slot3 (NOTE: this will only work in slot 3)
flash ROM
flash Gapps
reboot
Issues:
Please report all bugs at http://androidhosting.org:8050. Look through the known list before just posting there may likely already be a solution or response.
If wifi is not working after first boot just reboot new scriptp will autofix.
If you boot to a blank screen and it stays there more than a minute or so after the kexec vibrate you need to reboot to SafeStrap switch to stock and boot it (optionally uninstall and reinstall recovery from the SafeStrap app). Then reboot and select your ROM slot and it should boot fine.

Nice work!
The only custom JB ROM for the D4 I've used where the standard text client works for MMS.
Rotation is still an issue though, but that's minor. Going to use this as my DD and see how it works out.
Thanks!

Seems good so far.. rotation issues still no biggie just open the keyboard a little... Few moments of data lose(a lot less then stock)... 2 out of 10 MMS not received I did received the notification for it yet opened a blank draft when clicked read.... And upon boot I get a message "unable to download try again later"

This looks awesome! Going to test it out! Thanks for all your work.
EDIT: hmm, can't seem to get this to boot. Hangs at splash screen indefinitely. Installed in slot 3, stock ICS system. Tried deleting/re-making the ROM slot, re-downloading, re-flashing, wiping, every combination thereof. Weird. Will continue poking at it.

Me neither and it's driving me nuts lol - I can't figure out how to disable it .. Unchecking the box doesn't seem to do the trick. I've messed with dpi settings in hopes to force it back, but no luck.
It's in all the basic apps: calendar, settings etc.. and it's just not helpful in portrait mode. Is there a way if can be set for working ONLY in landscape mode. I'd do that all day.
If not, then a sure fire way to 'off' it would be awesome
is there native GSM support, or are we stuck using the "cm 10.1" broken gsm patch that requires cache clears on reboots?
Lack of auto-rotate isn't a big deal for me - disable it in the settings. It rotates when you slide the keyboard out, and goes back to portrait when you slide it back in.
I'm not a fan of the lack of symbols in the keyboard when hitting the SYM key. There's a lot of symbols missing, like < and >. The stock ROM has those and then some. Any way to bring them back? Other than that I'm loving the ROM. Definitely not switching back.
I've found that this ROM fails to boot in anything other than a 1GB partition. That is, when you go to create Slot 3, if you create /data as 2GB or 3GB, it will not boot.
WTF? Am I doing something wrong? Not a showstopper, but it's weird. Anyone else had this problem?
EDIT: Fixed in 20 April nightly! Cheers, no longer out of internal space. Thanks!
New nightly link in OP new builds just posted.

I'll do some work on providing settings options for the build.prop. Do you have a link to the cm patch?
Volume seems to be super-low in the 4-20 build. Like, so low that I think I have to go back to a previous build just to make calls.
So GSM is not working?
I think it is with build.prop edits

General Notes:
- Root can be enabled in development settings --> root access --> set it to Apps and Adb. if it doesn't work, set it to sething else and then set it back to Apps and Adb
- Google has now selinux build in. Users who will flash another kernel which does not match googles selinux (eg the kernels have cm's selinux or not selinux at all) will lose root!!!!! Only way then to get root back is to flash either superSu from chainfire or superuser from koush as standalone package.
- Please flash only 4.3 gapps. All other will end in keyboard fc, no back button etc etc

Keep in mind, I do not own this device, but my two testers do, and I rely heavily on them.
Either way, if you have any questions, first, read the FAQ below, then ask away, dev thread or not.
(Work In Progress) FAQ
Do I have to wipe before flashing??
Always wipe, no matter what ROM you are on now, even if it's a previous version of BlakCM.
I flashed a different kernel and now I'm having an issue, what should I do?
Boot to recovery, wipe everything and reflash BlakCM. I'll only provide support for the kernel integrated into BlakCM.
I see 'So and so" posted a fix for this issue or that, is it safe to flash that fix on BlakCM?
Please make a backup before making any modifications or flashing any 'fixes' from ANYONE. You also flash said fix or mod at your own risk..
My data [3G/4G/LTE] doesn't work, but everyone else's seems fine, how do I fix it?
Flash a Stock ROM and update your profile then flash back to BlakCM.
This ROM is for the carrier in the section it is placed in, if you have problems with data and are on a different carrier,
then you must search elsewhere for a fix or ask around to see if someone else knows.
I flashed the ROM and now I have an issue, what should I do?
Pull a logcat and post it on to pastebin.com, provide a link in this thread to it.
Be detail specific in your post. I need to know if you have modded or changed anything that may cause the issue.
How do I pull a logcat?
Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726238
Will you add 'this' feature?
Not likely. If you want a feature added unofficially, you should add the feature yourself and post your unofficial build.
When will this 'issue' be fixed?
NO ETA's.
thanks!

Does halo still not allow you to install apps when it is on? If so then that is your problem.

Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
Features:
* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget
Instructions for installations:
1. Download ROM
2. Download Gapps
3. Push to sdcard
4. Reboot Recovery
5. Wipe Data and Cache
6. Install ROM
7. Install Gapps
8. Reboot System
Contributions:
* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Great job on 1st release of Gummy ROM Pap!!
All the basics are working as it should be, MMS, DATA, LTE, Calls.
**usual aosp bugs**
aosp keyboard FC if you try to swipe.
(I use Kii keyboard soooo)
Playstore not coming up on 1st login.
(I cleared playstore cache & data in settings/apps ** working great now & it's themed)
CPU was set to max on boot 2106, I'm not sure if most phones can boot (I booted fine)
Init.d not activated (used universal init.d app to activate).
Not outside, so I can't check GPS.
Again...
Great job on 1st release !!
All is working as it should be done.. MMS, DATA, LTE, Calls. Perfect.

I too recall Gummy on Nexus S and Gnex. Nice to see Gummy again. Famous for that rainbow flying cat boot animation with the funny tune. Lmbo. Gummy was always a really good rom. Tks for building for Jfltespr! :thumbup::sly:

Anyone know how clear all recents works? I pick it and nothing changes. If I reset it it will ask again but if I hit yes recents doesn't look any different or have a button like most roms for clear all. So I'm assuming it's hidden maybe or gesture based or something?

Yea, it's goofy with our phones with physical menu/home/back/search keys... It only shows up while "Immersive mode" is on.
They recently changed it to be selectable because it was redundant on devices with the nav buttons on-screen. I hope they correct it for devices like ours, otherwise I may try and dig into the code..

Does everyone else get weird screeching noise in bluetooth when using Google Now? I always got something weird in other roms too I think but this sounds similar to a fax modem handshake.

Has anyone figured out what to blacklist to get rid of the change of input hover every time you open the keyboard?
Edit: I got it finally, it's Android System, 3rd from the top of the All list. Didn't really like the rom at first but it's really grown on me now.

When they say "wipe data" if switching from a new rom, I they referring to opening SafeStrap, deleting the partition, recreating the partition, and then install or like wipe the whole flippin phone??

Just factory wipe in SS(just the initial swipe that says this is all you usually need). What I do is keep backups of each rom I screw with then I wipe factory and advanced system then install fresh rom and gapps then restore just the data from that same rom like LS or SK or whatever. Makes for quick switches when new versions come out because I prefer one big slot over several small ones.

Edit:
The OTA offered me 4.4.2 gapps but I grabbed 4.4.3 off PA goo and all is perfect. Not sure what the difference is but for me Google voice works in the new dialer which didn't on any 4.4.3 except CM so far. Very good so far.
Very stable and I'm loving this ROM. Also using jbx kernel

Im having issues staying on 4g. If I reboot it'll have 4g for a lil bit but then kick down to 3g. I have LTE set as preferred in mobile network settings. Anyone else experiencing this?
