Ok so I know that the C6903 doesn't support ATT's main LTE band.
Should I just use WCDMA (preffered)/GSM? will this save me some more battery? I heard LTE will kill your battery faster, so since I can't get LTE in most areas should I switch from the LTE preffered in the mobile networks settings?

Hey guys, just a simple question here. How do I make my phone to choose 850mhz band when network is idle and choose 2100mhz automatically when I use the network. The reason I want this is to reduce battery consumption and increase signal strength. Yes 850mhz uses less power and has more signal due to more 850mhz band cell towers than 2100mhz towers around here.

Hi,
I noticed at my work my Edge is stronger then my LTE but LTE works better and of course faster then Edge. I am asking if anyone knows how to force only GSM for calls and LTE for data. I go through the options and notice many settings but LTE is always "LTE AUTO" I also use the hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* and set LTE only or CDMA, LTE Unfortunately I am on Rogers and CDMA does not allow my calls to go through and LTE only is exactly that only LTE. Both those options work great but of course drop sporadically which I can live with except the no phone part. What is the point of having a phone if you have no phone reception working on your phone.....
So my question is simple, is there a way to have only GSM and LTE set up or at least GSM and 3G/4G but with out the E network which ever that is.
Thanks
JB

Are there any Mods to keep LTE active in low reception area.

You could force LTE only, but then when the reception drops off, you'll have zero cell service.
It would be nice if there were more options offered for preferred networks. I leave mine on WCDMA preferred, and just do without LTE until I want/need it.
I was wondering if this is possible to do on my Xperia A. Even after following a couple of guides regarding band unlocking, i still cannot get WCDMA band fully open for my main carrier. I have managed to unlock 3G of 3 out of the 4 main carriers, but no matter what settings i modify, i cannot get 3G signal on Claro, just 2G. They are supposed to be running on 1900 MHz for their HSPA bands, but i cannot get it to recognize them at all.
I was reading on, and it seems the HSPA band for the LTE version (C5503) doesn't seem to be fully compatible on the 1900 MHz band, but the HSPA version (C5502) does seem to have those bands open. Would it work if i flashed the baseband of the HSPA variant to my LTE version? Or would it be best to try a different baseband file, like the Xperia ZL (C6506)?
I am in a country where all Network Operator uses Band3 (1800Mhz) for LTE. And i have search everywhere and it is clearly mentioned that mi5 pro do support lte Band3 and yet i can seem to be able to connect at all!
I am using China Stable version 7.5.6 and yet just cant connect at all to the LTE Network even when i manually tries to search and register to 4G Network, it just goes to No service then Emergency Calls only. :crying:
Hope anyone can help me out with this as i find it very sad that i cant use 4G in my country.
I have already tried several times to change stuff on the *#*#4636#*#* menu but still it just does the same thing. i have sims of all 3 operators and yet none of them connects to the 4G networks.
Maybe add the APN and turn on data for the sim you're using?

It should certainly work as I'm with Three who operate on 800 and 1800 and 800 isn't supported but I still receive 4G signal. As mentioned try manually adding the APN for your network?

I don't have the 'prefer LTE' option under mobile network but still can connect to LTE network in my country (1800Mhz), this happens for both china stable 7.5.6.0 and global stable 7.5.2.0 ROM
Can you update to lastest Xiaomi.eu version (Miui 8) and check the 4G on that 1800band?
i've noticed that despite this phone having all the needed LTE bands, it just won't put my FreeUp mobile sim into LTE it will only default to 2G which has been decommissioned. Are there any tricks to get it to go into LTE so I could have some basic calling abilities?
