Hey man you should get a new file hosting service. This one is plagued with popups. I didn't even download the boot animation because this site was way too sketchy.

Hi, I had the same experience. Buy this, upgrade that, just to download a small file.
I feel this is a deliberate choice by the OP. There lots and lots of FREE file hosting companies. Why choose one that is so ****e? Freebies? Money?
Cheers. Anil
Re-Uploaded
I re-uploaded this file to MediaFire, but I can't post links so just go to /download/imb7u7dz5dtt9pg/bootanimation.zip . I can't get it to work on my rooted Nexus 7, however. Is there any way I can revert to the true stock boot animation? I accidentally deleted it when I was tinkering with it earlier in ROM Toolbox.

can i use this bootanim into Xperia L with JB 4.2.2 ??
Okay
Its interesting but it makes me think of the Windows boot animation.
Sorry for the bump, but can this be used on a Nexus 4?
Hi, this will work fine on your NEXUS 4.
Have fun. Anil
new uploaded file location...
Hello XDA Members!
First off let me thank the person who started this thread and took the time to upload the stock KitKat 4.4 Boot Animation for the 2nd Generation Nexus 7 tablet. However...the file sharing site that is being used as the download location for this boot animation is a bit off a hassle. The site makes you jump through a few loops to actually get the file.
After I was finally able to get the file, for some reason the file I downloaded was not right (possible corrupted). I knew the file that I downloaded could not be correct because the file was only like 500K and I have 2 Nexus 7 Tablets (both 2nd generation) and I know that the stock bootanimation.zip file is around 1.3MB's.
Anyways...so I took it upon myself to transfer the stock 4.4 KitKat boot animation from my Nexus 7 to a new file sharing website with hopes that it will now be much easier for everyone to obtain this file.
Here is the download link -> http://www.filedropper.com/bootanimation_2
I hope that everyone will now find it much easier to download this boot animation file now.
Thanks again to the person who started this thread. your time is much appreciated.

Hmmm why would somebody want you to go to a spam/virus infested site to download a boot ani you can get anyplace? Just for fun perhaps our they just suck at life. Personally if I care to share something I post a link to my Dropbox doesn't take a genius to figure it out and it's safe.
Can't revert back to stock.
hi..i flashed a BIOS style boot animation for nexus 7 2012..and as soon as i flashed it there's a slight glitch in the animation and i decided to go back to the stock kitkat boot animation. i did a backup of the boot animation before trying out a custom boot animation and now if i flash it via recovery it just fails becuase of an MD5sum thingy..i think recovery couldn't find an md5. so i downloaded the one posted here instead. same problem. so i was left with no choice but to flash the stock X JB animation for nexus and it went well. i got that file from the thread of the bios boot animation for nexus..it was called revert_to_stock zip..
thank you.
Work for all resolution ?

Here it is, by request and after much delay on my part - the INCREDIBLE S version of my classy boot animation.
The full looping here is simply for presentation purposes. While the phone is actually booting, the spinner will spin infinitely until your ROM gets started up. Check the attachments for previews of all the colored versions.
Keep in mind I do not own an Incredible S, only an Incredible 2, so if any information here is inaccurate or something is different - please let me know so I can fix it. Other than that, let me know what you think!

Requirements
You just need root access to replace the stock bootanimation.zip with the download (whichever color you choose) here.
Instructions
1. Find your stock bootanimation.zip file. The location depends on the ROM but on AOSP this is usually "/system/media". On Sense it will normally be found in "/system/customize/resource". If it isn't in either, check "/data/local".
2. Rename the stock file to bootanimation.zip.bak (so you can revert if necessary) or simply overwrite it with the file downloaded from here.
3. Check the permissions of the new file. They should be set to ”rw-r--r--" as seen in this image.
4. Should be it. Reboot to see the magic happen.

If you have issues changing the bootscreen on a Sense ROM or just want it done easily, try this app by vsaravind007. I haven't tested it myself but it may work for you.

If you replaced the correct file and used the correct permissions there should be no problem. On the other hand I've never heard of not booting up due to a boot animation change. I know it's been a while since you posted (I'm a Vivow user so I don't get over here much) but I was curious if you got it figured out. You probably reflashed or something since then. Futuristic boot animation for Nexus devices
This is my first contribution.
I made a quick mockup of an idea and I stood here to make the video, exported as JPG, made a flashable zip.
As this is my first contribution, please don't bite, ask and we will see what can we do.
I am not responsible for data lost, bricked deviced, microwaved cats, or other thermo-nuclear-bio wars.
Before flashing make sure to make a backup.

FEEDBACK NEEDED
S4 users please download Futuristic_v2.1_1080_1920_Galaxy_S4_samy_wod.zip
if this won't work than I have to calculate FPS and add duration to animation in qmg.
UPDATES
v2.1
- looping part more fluent
- lowered jpeg quality for lower size
- corrected pokemon glitch (sorry, it was an image in the compile folder which I didn't observed)
v2.0
- removed Nexus, or Galaxy Nexus logo-texts
- particles added
- light flares added
- light explode on Nexus logo added
v1.0
- first animation
- Galaxy Nexus - this logo-text is shown in animation for GNEX
- Nexus - this logo-text is showing for rest of Devices.
SUPPORTED DEVICES
- 768x1280 - Nexus 4
- 720x1280 - Galaxy Nexus
- 800x1280 - Galaxy Note N700, Nexus 7
- 1080x1920 - Galaxy S4
if there is more devices with these resolution, please let me know
NOTE
Galaxy S4 could use two types of boot animation depending on what ROM you use.
If you use a Samy based rom (stock, etc), please download the samy version.
If you use a AOKP, CM, etc based rom (CM, PA, AOKP), please download the simple version.
Main difference is that Samy rom uses qmg file type while the other uses bootanimation.zip.
Here is the download link:

mako version
is it only me, or mako veriosn is broken? copied bootanimation.zip to /system/media and nothing happened after google logo a saw black screen and then my lock screen. same with flashable zip. maguro version works like a charm. tested on nexus 4 @ paranoid android 3.69. but as i said on google+: amazing work

of course you can try backup those two files, and copy bootanimation.zip there, the zip from the installer found in /system/media/

I renamed the 2 files Samsung in .old and I put the bootanimation.zip in system / media but there is still the black screen, I only hear the sound.

So looking over the xda, qmg is a closed-source alogrithm package, so I have to download Samsung Theme editor and recreate the whole whole animation.
Seems like the rom you have uses stock animation like.
So, I created a nice boot animation in Windows BIOS style, using LorDestinY's tutorial.
Images are contained in multiple folders, so no black screen, and have the size of 1080x1920 for the Z2 model. The HD version (720x1080) is useful for those who have reduced screen resolution at boot.
The text used for the information is as real as it goes, and is based on the D6503 model.
Have fun!

What programs have you used to create the bootanimations (Techno.zip - logo.bin and the other files in the .zip) ?
Also, how do I install the new bootanimation ?
Is this it? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953726
But do I have to use "your original logo.bin file" ?
Can't it create a fresh new file from scratch ?
I see there is another file format - Bios Bootanimation.zip - system/media folder, bootanimation.zip file - I can create that using Boot Animation Factory.
And, do I also need the other files (CERT.RSA, CERT.SF...) and folders (META-INF, com......) ?
Can I just create a new bootanimation.zip file, using Boot Animation Factory, copy/replace to system/media folder ?
Thanks.

how do I install the new boot animation ???
I already asked that a few days ago and got no answer.
Regular bootanimation.zip file is installed by copying to /system/media/ folder, first backup, then overwite old file.
But there are other files (archives) which contain bootanimation.zip or logo.bin and other files. I think you can install these files using custom recovery, like TWRP.
Also, how do I create this type of boota animations ?

The ones from the first post are.all flashable zips. Using a custom recovery, first backup your logo partition, then choose install, select one of these zips, and install it. Pretty simple. I don't know about the cyanogenmod one or any from other posts, as I haven't looked at them.
On a side note, most likely people aren't responding is because if you can't figure this out on your own, it might not be something that you should be doing. Flashing things can be dangerous, and no one wants to be responsible for you bricking your device.
Sent from my KFTHWI using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If I extract the bootanimation.zip file from those flashable archives and just copy them in the /system/media/ folder, does it work like that ?
Hi!
Can someone create or explain how to make a bootanimation based of the new update images?
See the following link:. www.androidpolice.com/2016/05/20/an...oper-preview-3-except-its-not-quite-ready-yet
Succeeded in creating one! Based on the animation during the Dev Preview 3 update.
Just a sloppy release, I cba to make a fade in/out. If you got spare time for that, feel free to edit.
See the preview image below.

Thanks for your help! Updated link
Kudos, this isn't bad at all! Even though it reminds me of a LSD trip lol
Any idea what will happen if I try it on a different phone with a different screen resolution? I have a nexus 5

Try it , the worse that could happen is it doesn't work or it looks like crap and you have to go back .
Just tried this on my Nexus 4, works well but it is little big for our resolution. If someone make this for our Nexus 4 that will be amazing, nice work though!
after flashing zip if something went wrong as i am using multirom( some CMTE bootanimation results in bootloops) how to revert back?

make a Nandroid Backup and test it. if it gives you bootloop, just restore your backup.

Download link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4oegINhkQdkejAwUTBHUDF6dWM
Installation is easy.
1. Copy the file to your SD card
2. Open up root explorer
3. Copy the bootanimation.zip from the SD card
4. Navigate to /system/media/
5. Rename your current bootanimation
6. Paste your bootanimation.zip in the clipboard
7. Make sure permission are on 664/ rw-r-r
8. Reboot
9. ??
10. Done!
Edit: fellow member fLipz made a flashable zip. If you want to use that, it's over here. Thanks!

Do it yourself instead if sounding rude when asking for someone else's work. You didn't even use please or thank you...
Inside any bootanimation.zip, you'll find desc.txt. The first two numbers are your screen resolution and the third is the rate that it plays(I believe).
You're welcome. ?
