With the 4.3 update, has anyone else noticed an icon briefly flashing while sending or receiving an SMS? It doesnt stay long enough to work out what it is. It might only be happening on 4g.
Ps, it seems our One is able to send SMS over 4g on o2 at least, tested in the info screen..

There are times when I cannot send sms while there is a full bar signal, anyone who has some hints on why is this?

Do you also have problems with recieving sms-messenges?
I initially had problems with my X1 as well, only half of the messenges showed up, didn't send a lot of messenges either. Most notably, the new messenges icon (xperia panel 1) contstantly showed me that i had unread messenges but they werent visible when i was in the inbox.
Fed up with problem (after updating through SE update service), I had T-mobile send it in. It's fixed now!
I have the same problem.
My provider is KPN (Netherlands) and sometimes the text messages I send are, either duplicated and send twice, or not being send at all.
Also, when I recieve messages (rare occasions) the messages that weren't send to the receiver, are being send at the same time I receive the message.
I have the latest SE Update with the Update Service.
Does anyone have an answer to this problem cos I have the same problem texts are not being sent

heres my problem so far (on an unlocked tmobile vario III):
i send a text, but when i get a reply, the screen lights up but i get no actual text alert or even the text. i have tried several radio roms but still the problem persists.
im using the latest DJKOA rom.
help will be most appreciated

Double check all connection settings for your carrier, sounds like that could be the problem if it can't for some reason download the message.
Just wondering if anyone else has problems with sending or recieving picture messages. It's hard to tell what the culprit is. I'm using Handcent now, but I noticed it with the stock SMS client too. Does anyone else have a problem, or is it possibly because I live in an edge area? Thanks.
I've read lots of posts where people cannot send MMS larger than 100k on an Edge network but have no problems on 3G.
As for receiving, I've had issues with receiving MMS from my friends that have iPhone4. They send me one and I get no notification whatsoever that they even tried to send it to me until they send me another text asking, "did I get it?" I've tested it by receiving MMS from Samsung Eternity, iPhone 3GS, and another ATT non-smartphone and I've received the messages fine. So far, just problems with iphone4.
Also, I don't receive MMS if I'm on wifi.
I was using handcent for a few days no problems and recently it stoppped sending texts i just get the red cross with failed, same with chompSMS, does the same thing....
however the stock messaging app that comes with (darkys 10.1) still works fine..
anyone had this problem or have any ideas?
Problem was the country code NEEDED to be added to the message center number, dont know how it got dropped off the front but it did, hope this helps someone one day

I'm on EE UK's network, basically I don't always recieve a text message from someone until I actually try to contact them (through a phonecall or a text message) which then it'll flush any messages to me.
Is there anyway to stop this from happening? My signal is normally okay and it's led me into a few stupid situations so far.

I had this problem after flashing certain modems. Some work better than other for your country/network.
