[Q] flickering/flashing lock screen - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

I just installed cm 10.2 on my galaxy tab 8.9.
When trying to unlock tab flickering / flashing page appears when you should see the lock screen.
The only thing you can do to get away from it is to do a restart of the tab by holding down the power button.
Had the same problem with cm 10.1....
Anyone who knows what the reason is for this?
Everything else works great on it.

You're a flyers fan, so I'll cut you some slack for not reading two threads before your post. If you have a p7310 or p7310 this will work for you:

[Q] SC-01C Docomo Galaxy Tab Mess...

So I recently tried to reinstall the stock firmware for my Docomo Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" and ran into a problem. I get to a certain point in the flashing, Heimdall says it's 100% finished but the unit does not reboot and the blue status bar (as in the picture) is not 100% and it just sits there. (it's been 30 minutes) I am using Heimdall FrontEnd 1.1
I have tried Odin (yes I installed the driver's correctly and it sees the tab) but I get a fail everytime I try to restore the tab.
Please help!
If you live in Japan, that would be great. I currently live in the Tochigi Prefecture.
Long press the power button until your device turns off, then press volume down+power until it boots into that same screen (minus the progress bar)
Flash your rom via Odin. And have a loot around the forums/Google for a p1_hidden.pit to flash with it.
That should sort it out.
Sent from inside a whale.
Thanks for your help man. I tried everything you said, but nothing worked so I said "**** it" I took the tab back to Docomo and exchanged it for an LG Optimus pad. It's pretty good, but for some reason can't handle 1080p video. The Galaxy tab had no problem. Weird hey?

Yet another reason I believe the GT is the best tab available at the moment.

[Q] Is it possible to change docking settings?

Hi there,
Apologies if this is a noobie question, but is it possible to change the docking settings from the blue background, and time/weather display? Or is there an app that will do the job?
I wondered if there might be something that could do a slide show of my pictures, or a screensaver - just something a little more entertaining for when I'm bored at work!
I did have a search of the forums, but couldn't see an immediate answer.
Many thanks in advance
Just get a live wallpaper from the market. I use one and its alright. Look..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u8NhYBGRVY
Thanks for that - but a live wall paper is not the solution - I have a very nice Galaxy livepaper, but the moment I plug it into my dock/charger, I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

Is there anyway to change the setting for this?
Cheers
[ah... can't post links because I'm a noobie.. oh well...]
You can press the menu button on the bottom left of your device. That will bring up a menu and you can go into the setting and change things about the background. Cheers
That's excellent - just what I was after - thank you so much!
Hmmm... it shows my nice galaxy live wall paper for a bit, and then for some reason reverts back to the blue screen again - is there another setting somewhere?
Many thanks

Yeah, I made a guide but that was just to show people how to set it all up and working. I didn't fixed anything. :angel: . Samsung's official 4.1.2 upgrade made it working.

The only way(that I know) to get this working is by upgrading to Jelly Bean. Or just wait until someone find what made this working and then port it to Gingerbread.
P.S. I don't know, but maybe there is a better solution other than just upgrading to JB out there. Just search.

Samsung SM-N950F/DS sensors stopped after update.

Hello everyone. I'm sure many people are having problems with their Note8s specially after receiving updates. Mine also did broke at some point where I lost the track. What I have done to try to fix it so far is;
Went into download mode - had this ;

I think the phone is in Egypt variant since it says carrier ID is Egypt?
For the Recovery mode I had these;
So as you see, I tried many things to fix this without sending it to SC since I live in North Cyprus. I'm pretty sure that it is not hardware related but more likely a software stuff. Any ideas to fix this? Thanks.
Btw, I am not sure if the images are visible or not, can someone leave me a feedback please?

They should be fixed now, thanks for the feedback
i got the problem too
No one has any idea about how to fix this instead of sending phone to Samsung Care? Like draining the battery completely etc? Or possible software conflicts? Since I have updated to bootlader 6, I cannot go back to 5 either.

Hi all, I have stumbled into your world, and I am amazed at the depth of help and knowledge out there, and I hope to learn a thing or two and possibly share also. My phone journey modification has begun with a Samsung S4 GT-I9505. Somehow I have installed Lineage OS18.1, without any GApps at this stage I may add (I forgot about it), and for the most part it is in a working state, with a few glitches though. Now without driving all a little insane, and getting myself lost in the forums, how would one start to verify what has been done so far? does the information below help anyone? with thanks and gratitude in advance...
