I purchased z1 recently came with magnetic charging dock. I cannot get the charging dock to work.
I plugged USB into pc and the phone in the dock, the pin on the phone should be matched into the dock, but I don't see the phone show charging. is there any settings on the phone need to be enable for this ? or is the dock not working?

I've got some problem with this cradle,
its strange cause if the delivered charger is put into the mini usb its loads the HD2 only if I use the "charge on usb" option in power settings but if I plug in the normal Leo charger on micro usb port (which normaly is for data) its loading like usual... are there any wires wrong ?
no one out there?
Do you have a spare battery in there? I thought mine wasn't charging at first too, but that was because my second battery was charging. I only have the supplied charger plugged into the mini-USB port.
I haven't tried what happens if i connect both micro and mini USB to the cradle and i don't have the chance to do that anytime soon, might be an idea though?
Annoyingly, the HD2 sounds were played to the 3.5mm jack when plugged in (which i don't have connected to anything yet), so my alarm wouldn't sound. I found the setting where to route the systemsounds (either to device or external), so that's no problem anymore

i found someone here in forum who has build a switch to change between sync and charge mode with the cradle delivered charger, but he doesnt answer my question how he did it....
nickname is Donald24
hi,
the hd2 recognise a 'real' charger at the fact that pin 2&3 (the data pins) are shortend. so it can achive more then the 500mA that it can get from a (PC)usb port. at least at my charger things are handeld that way.
regards mad

okay I managed to change my car charger this way but I'm not shure if I shorten the pins in the cradle with a switch to change between fast charge and USB connection if there will be some trouble with a connected PC...

Try to turn off your tab then plug to your computer usb
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk 2
Even though the icon looks like it thinks the tab isn't charging, it does actually charge anyways. Leave it plugged in overnight with the screen off, and you'll see. My Nook Color does the same thing. It's just that charging with normal 500ma USB is slower than the 2A regular charger so they want to discourage you from charging that way.
My phone stopped charging correctly all of the sudden. The only way I can charge it is by plugging the USB into a computer, and that takes HOURS. If I try to plug it into the wall with the white box adapter then it won't charge at all for some reason. I know there is nothing wrong with the outlets or cord because my sister has the same phone and charger. Anyone know a simple fix? I already tried restarting the phone and pulling the battery out and stuff. Thanks

Have you tried a different white box adapter? If the cord works through USB then it should work through the AC adapter. Tried charging with your sisters charger?

I have no idea what happened. It wouldn't charge right for 2 days and now all of the sudden it is working. Thanks though!
My Note 5 , bought it a month ago, it doesn't charge anymore, is dead. I plug in the charger and it only shows the lightning bolt, but no led light. I can enter download mode but only with the wall charger, with the usb to PC, but doesn't charge neither, it turns off when in download mode so I can't use Odin. I think it's software because it doesn't vibrate when I try to turn it on so what should I do?
I think you have a faulty usb port. You should go to samsung or where you have bought it and have them give a check

Oh well I think the faulty one is your battery.
I had this problem too. Take it by a store to check it out and initiate a replacement. Mine wouldn't charge on wired nor wireless charger. So, the charging circuitry or battery had failed. USB itself was fine.
Are the contacts under the battery, which are part of the wireless charger ribbon cable mandatory?
I just broke that cable and I'm not sure if will it still boot and charge by usb? or it won't work at all without that part?

When only the connection with the coil for wireless charge is broken, you probably can charge the battery.
Try it before closing the device.
