I've been using Bilibox's Dirty Unicorn as a daily driver for a while now. It's a bit quiet when listening but people can hear me OK. I can hear fine if I get the phone positioned correctly.
The only problem I have had with it is occasional spontaneous reboots. Not sure what the cause is, but it doesn't happen very often.
Actually most of recent roms have good in call volume, im using cm11 albinoman 4.4 and i have good in call volume

Well, this is the wrong section for this, but to answer your question: only ICS Sense ROMs. Literally every single other ROM has the low volume on calls, and most have other volume/data/random crap issues. Luckily it seems that on the newest cm10.2 and cm11 ROMs call volume can actually be adjusted, but it's still really quiet.
Basically you have to pick cool new features or proper volume.
Fwiw, I think the senseless skin of dark raider and the blue skin of holics don't look too bad.

I have been able to port this rom from the triumph forums
http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...-1-11-25-triumph-113011-2-gb-2-3-7-based.html
I know have miui build 1-11-25, but still now fm radio. Have tried all that I have found on the net to fix but with no luck. Has anyone else had luck getting fm to our phone?
The port is stable but I dont see any difference from the one that tj_style made

When are you uploading the ROM ? Radio does not work in the MIUI 1.11.11 build also. And not a major issue as long as the ROM is stable.
have you tested all other applications esp google apps ? What about voice quality and volume ?
please do upload the rom...
Will upload it once I get home tonight at work and have no access to a site to put it up.
Voice quality and volume so far I have found no issues. The only google apps that I use are maps, market and voice so I didnt load gapps just grab these only. The build has market already. I also have loaded Napster's kernel which works fine with my phone.

Thanks Cowsgo for porting this, very happy with this particular ROM, more stable than 1.11.11. Incoming call Volume issue was there fo rthe first few calls but now it has normalised. I also flashed Napstar UC V5, everything is working smoothly. I was also able to record a video at 720P. Good work keep it up.
BTW do let me know how did you port this from ? Keen to start myself on this route !

Hi vijayar, i have also flashed this rom but even after quite a few incoming calls i am still facing the incoming low call volume issue. how come it is resolved in your device, what did you do ? Are you reporting that the HD rec. is working fine with UC V5 ? What was your exact flash method ?

Well the incoming call volume is working most of the time well, some random calls still has problems of low volume but most are normal unlike CM7 which always has low volume (not tried latest updated, but for this problem the ROM is a fantastic build by Edowar). Yes I did a 720p Video record for about a minute, it seems okay. What I did was complete wipe of Dalvik, cache and factory and then updated to this new one. I also flashed UC V5.
Vijayar, r u porting frm cm7? If frm miui 1.11.11, do i need full wipe? Including data wipe?

Hi guys!
I have some questions about mebitek's CM 7.2-RC1 build.
-Is the Task Manager application really not included in this ROM?
-Are you guys also having some issues wherein some sound distortion will occur while playing music through a headset using the stock music player application?
-I noticed that whenever I reboot my phone, my OpenVPN Settings application will always force close and the only way to fix it is by restoring its Data through Titanium Backup. Are you guys also experiencing this?
Those issues are really at a minimal level and so far, Im liking this CM 7.2 build (I've been using this for a week now.)
I hope someone can answer my questions.
Thanks in advance!

you can push stock manager in system/app , how to do that there's an existing thread about that. or use advance task manager, it has a feature that can automate the clearing of ram when everytime your screens turna off.
- i think most of all of cm7 has that distorting sound. i also use this rom, im using player pro without the dsp pack feature of this music player. tip, lower the bass or dont touch it from the equilizer. and disable the bass boost in the rom's dsp setting.
- i dont have any force closes encountered since i use this rom.

thanks for answering my post sir i dont really need an automated task killer, i only need something i could use whenever an app starts becoming unresponsive. ill try your suggestion of pushing the stock task manager for sure
i just reflashed another cm7 rom (kittenlinux's odex cm7 revision of mebitek's rom) and i didnt encounter fc in openvpn. im gonna try this rom since i think this is an optimized version of the original rom. the only thing that i cant seem to find is the option to kill app using long press of the back button.
p.s.: i think most people here doesnt understand our reason for using openvpn on our phone since they are from a different country.

i haven't tried using soft buttons yet but regarding your question about adrenaline engine's compatibility with this rom, it is compatible. just make sure you use the CM version of the script
adrenaline made my phone become more snappier. just be sure to mount data and system before flashing or else it wouldnt work.
on mine, i don't flash any tweaks in this rom. i'm satisfied to the speed of this this rom, even overclocked in 604Mhz. i also removed soft botton that i flashed. sorry for my bad english.

so far i haven't experienced any problems with flashing yet though i've already flashed multiple roms in the past on this phone.
just a tip, if you are going to flash a stock rom via odin, be sure to use the one without a bootloader included (you can find it on the development section). its safe since it will not mess around your phone's boot partition (which causes hard bricks)
and if you are going to flash a rom via CWM Recovery, be sure to flash while your battery is still strong. make sure that you are not going to run out of battery in the middle of flashing or else, it may cause trouble

im simple terms, the bootloader is the part of your phone which has the files/codes needed to startup you phone during boot. so if your phone's boot loader gets corrupted, it will result to what most people call a hard brick.
you can find the stock roms which has the bootloaders removed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551586
fyi: those stock roms can only be flashed via odin and is only applicable when going back to stock rom or when flashing a custom rom which requires you to have a clean/fresh stock rom first
i hope this helps

it should work as long as you are in gingerbread. although some devs recommend that you use 2.3.6 as base.
be sure to read the devs instructions before flashing and always create a nandroid backup using cwm recovery before doing it. trust me it can save you from a soft brick just in case something goes wrong

Switch to an AOKP ROM and flash this App. save the file on either of your cards. Its called Awesome beats and really does wonders for the sound quality.
I will not be responsible for whatever happens. I do know that the DSP can be flashed onto most CM based AOKP projects. Have flashed it on to diff roms with out a problem. here is the Link to thread

If you want Pure Loud Volume use the Rom with the build in plugin Musicfx.
Be Careful do not harm your Ears.
Its not the Plugin itself it has something to do with the Rom itself.
I send already an Pm to the Dev to investigate the issue, feature....

Hey killer am sorry but i didnt get what you were saying....."pure loud volume" being? personally, the quality of sound using the FX module distorts the sound quality anything over 80% but works wonderfully when used with Awesome Beats V3.
Personally I'd recommend - SpeakerBoost from Googleplay.. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.omegacentauri.SpeakerBoost&hl=en, It's as loud as it gets... and the best of it all, it's for free. Just download and install it and your done. Boost the volume and you're gonna get what you need.
I'm using it for quite sometime already and sometimes when use my phone for calls, It's boosting up my speaker and the headset as well. Sometimes it's get my ears already as the volume get's a bit too loud for my liking...
I read that the call bug has been fixed by using the new bootloader...so among these roms are there some that don't present:
- BSOD while charging and randomly when in standby
- WIFI battery drain
- Funny battery levels
- Slow charging bug
- LED notifications working like in CM7 with dim light

Thank you what about the notification LED? I remember with both CM and rom based on official v30 it didn't work for notifications and were extremely bright

Smooth, with horrible battery drain

I'm starting to make peace with my mind that by the time (and if) a FULLY, and I mean FULLY working JB or ICS rom will be available I will already have trashed this phone.

Read a lot about this call bug on CM10, it's the reason why i choose Django X1.1. No problem in call, but impossible to stop call
Screen stays black... always have to reboot...

I have DM X1.1 NoOC myself with V30A baseband, no call bug, and I can stop my calls at any time !
Battery drain is still bad but we can thank the dev Carburano for making the Optimus 2X very smooth on ICS
We're waiting for DM X1.2 based on V30B

For sure, we are lucky that lots of good dev' still work on our device. They are the best to optimize 2x.

Our device is a beast if properly optimized, it was launched about 2 years ago but it's still a very decent phone, if you have a custom rom, it's perfectly smooth ! Camera is still ok, LG lcd screen is a lot better than amoled technology and the design is still up to date !
And after 2 years of service, my device is still working fine ! I'm not sure Samsung devices can compete with their durability !

For your call bug, you should try to wipe cache and everything before installing DM X1.1 if you didn't do it :good:

Full wipe before install. Perhaps with next Django v30B and another full wipe it'll be good.
But thx for the advice.
What is causing battery drain on that rom? Wifi?
There is no such thing as stable/good/bad ROM.

Sound Explosion mod by @doc3000 originally meant for htc one m7 is also working on htc one mini 2
A version for One Mini m4 has been made by @Ergo Proxy, which SEEMS to be working perfectly also on mini 2
Here's the original thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-mini/development/soundmod-sound-explosion-doc3000-t2845978 and the download link https://www.mediafire.com/?961106gblse54db
There's also been some M8 users who said it's working perfectly (so it's not strictly related to the beats audio, which is on m7 and M4)
Of course all credits go to the creators of this mod!
I Love you!!! Fixed my sound crackling problem!
The HTC Mini 2 is now officially the best sounding phone on the planet.

I flashed it on cm11.
But i can't see any changes after reboot.
No apps from the zip was installed and no different sound or something.
I think it does not work on cm12.1

Hey Man, are you using the stock ROM or a custom one...
I'm using rooted stock rom, but I didn't notice any difference on the sound. Can I install this mod on my HTC One S too (rom liberty max 5.5 with 4.3)?
Is that work with CM 13 ?
Is there any backup of the stock sound system zipped up? I need it I didn't backup the stock. Do I have to flash the stock again? Is there any nan droid backup?
