Any suggestions for the Gapps?
I'm still on stock, got the phone 3 weeks ago though. Do you recommend getting a custom ROM?

Tried to flash latest nightly but couldn't get fast the google logo while booting.
Anyone?
I used paranoid android gapps

Are you on the latest cwm version? Flash the latest cm nightly, then follow the steps.

This was built from AOKP source using vendor trees from TheMuppets found here:
https://github.com/TheMuppets
and device trees from TEAMBAKED - BIG thanks to them:
https://github.com/TeamBAKED
Thanks to BigRushDog for the hard work and the permission for me to use CDMATools. And also thanks for just being a cool person.
Here is AOKP website:

-Feel free to donate a few dollars if you have it to show your appreciation.
Here is the gerrit review:

My git: https://github.com/qnhoang81
This ROM is now using a CM kernel at moment and the source is here:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_samsung_crespo
My goal is to go over to AOSP kernel once I have a little more time to work on it.
What works:
Everything as far as I can tell
What's broken?
Hmm...not too sure. You tell me.
Directions:
1) Download
2) Make a backup
3) Wipe cache/dalvik - factory reset for those coming from a different ROM
4) Flash ROM
5) Flash GApps
6) Reboot
7) Enjoy
Download:
http://goo.im/devs/qnhoang81/crespo
GAPPS:
http://tinyw.in/wV7n
This is the official package from goo.im that I edited so that it does not override AOKP camera **NOTEhotosphere is not available for now, so if you want it so badly that you would rather not have all of the other options, then just use the official Gapps from goo.im**
I will post a changelog when I upload a build. Not every nightly will have a changelog, but I will post them as much as possible.
Note: Please report errors and things not working. However, please test the problem without any modifications to the build first.
Also, if there is something you would like to see or you think is cool to have, I would love to test it and include it in the ROM. So by all means, request away, and I will try my best to add it. But please...no asking for ETAs
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THIS DEVICE...By flashing this you take full responsibility for anything that may happen to the device, and I will not be held responsible if your phone steals your car and upgrade itself to a GALAXY NEXUS 4.
Have fun, and please post any problems found.
Downloading, will report back soon
Thanks for your efforts

Well, seeing as though I do not own the device, I have no screen shot to post. However, I'm not opposed to others posting them. Also, you can google AOKP and get all the screens you want.

NOTE:
Read this before flashing any 4.3 Roms. Any discussion about compatibility belong there. Thanks

I was just tired of scrolling through the development threads every couple of hours looking for stuff. Lolz. Found myself wishing someone would make a list like this, so I decided to. It will be obsolete soon enough but will come in handy over the next couple weeks I'm sure. Will do my best to keep it as up to date as possible.

Hey guys I'm currently on the official cyanogen mod. Will the auto updater in cm mod bump me up to 4.3 based cyanogen mod or do I need to do something manually?

Hey
as i know android 4.3's bootloader is updated
you need to update your nexus 7's bootloader first so updating by pc is the best choice you have
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
4.3 based CyanogenMod isn't out yet officially. The update will appear in the updater when the time comes, and you can download and flash it from there. There is no necessity to update the bootloader, unless you feel like it.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I looked at cyanogenmod and AOKP sites, neither of them show S III mini as a supported device.
- Is it still possible to install one of them via a custom ROM?
- Otherwise are there good ROMs like cyanogenmod and AOKP for S III mini?
I mean, all in all I want to install a good and latest (possible) android versioned ROM for my phone.
we don't have official aokp/cm.
But maclaws aokp/cm run verry good ,

how about updating?
say, i installed maclaw ROM (CyanogenMod 10.1 based). when the CyanogenMod 10.2 is ready, will i have to manually update (flash again) or is it automatic?

I'm using Maclaw's CM from a week, it's perfect, no bugs, and the battery life is pretty great
