I don't want it there, how can I remove it?
You need root. Edit your build.prop.
The easiest way is to use Build Prop Editor - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.build.prop.editor
Look for this entry -
ro.nfc.icon.enable
Select it, change the value from true to false and reboot when asked.

I would advise against editing anything else in your build.prop unless you know what you're doing, as you can stop your phone booting if you mess with the wrong thing.

I want create my own notification bar for my galaxy s2 ICS
Is it too hard because I'm not a developer

You don't have to be a developer. Or a themer.
All you need to know is what file to replace. Its actually simple.

The simplest way is to use the UOT KITCHEN (Not my work). That often requires some waiting time, though, and im not sure if it supports ICS touchwiz if ur using that.
If you want to do it manually it's unfortunately not only replacing a png in ICS, as the statusbar background is in xml, but I can tell you how to do that as well. Download and extract/install apk multi tool. (You might have to add Java to ur PATH). Then decompile ur systemui. Go to res/values/drawables and find the line status_bar_background and change the hex color to the value you want. Black is ff000000 and fully transparent is 00000000 i think. Semi transparent should be 50000000.

Thanks I will try this tonight
I'm using Jkay Deluxe Setting now
I know AOKP has it built in, but I personally want to use CM9 instead, but is there anyway to change the carrier name?
If it helps I'm using [27.Jun.2012][MAGLDR/SD] NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA-SD V2.4
It is the SD Version.
Nevermind, that was Jellybean.
Use 7zip and extract Framework-res.apk
Go into
Res>xml>eri.xml
Edit Eri.xml with HxD hex editor where you see the ccarrier name to what you want it to be.

Why do you even want to build a flashable zip only to modify BUILD.PROP file? Just use Root Explorer and edit the file, save it and reboot. You'll see the changes.

I am on grandfather plan and want to use hotspot, but not available. I am on root and tried to add "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true" on the bottom line in the build.prop and saved it and then open build.prop again to see if the line is still there but its disappeared. any idea?
sorry for my grammar.

Hi,
Did you give whatever app you're having permission through Magisk? Are you making sure that you are saving the build.prop after editing?
Thanks
