I just picked up a Black HTC ONE and so far I love this phone only thing I'm annoyed by is I am having lag when scrolling and in animations when opening apps and unlocking the phone. I'm not rooted yet cause I am holding off for a little while until development picks up. Is any one else having these kind of problems??? Should I try a factory reset and if I do a factory reset do I have to do a complete wipe of all my photos and music???

That sucks for me. My home screen scrolling is fine just in apps it is jumpy

Mine is rooted but still on stock Rom and kernel and it's super smooth.
I would back everything up and go for a factory reset

Home screens and animations have been nothing but smooth for me..But facebook and twitter and most apps that are not native that have vertical scrolling has been choppy..Not enough for me to care though.
Have you tried simply restarting the phone? Give it a restart, and let it settle for about 10 minutes (Android does a LOT of stuff on bootup, even after the launcher appears).

It's kind of strange, it was working last week. So when the screen is off, you press the power button and the lockscreen comes up. If you swipe up on one of the icons at the bottom for the app shortcuts, it will go straight to the application. Or, at least it used to. Now it just unlocks my phone. Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks ahead of time,

I've got this exact issue. Just started this morning.

No prob here.
I'm on TrickDroid 5.6.0
I first had it happen to me on ARHD, now on stock with latest update.

This happens when you have a accessibility service activated. Check in settings and accessibility. If anything is enabled it breaks the lock screen.
There is a fix here if you are rooted and running a deodexed rom

Randomly when I will unlock my phone from the active display screen ( when you just have to pull the lock icon down) there will be a solid 3-4 second Lag before the screen unlocks. Am I the only one experiencing this. I'm completely stock with the 4.4 ota on vzw.

Wow. All these problems with 4.4. It's running great on my N7, so I think I'll hold off. Tmobile didn't even push it out yet, but I like 4.2.2
I have the same issue on stock 4.2.2. Happens maybe a couple of times a day. Not sure the cause.

this is being discussed in another thread. it is a minor annoyance but doesn't seem to hinder phone operation.
I turned off slide unlock and haven't had a problem since. I think there's a bug between active display unlock and slide unlock...

Credits to the user that posted this. You can fix this by switching to no lock, unlock the phone using active notifications, and select swipe to unlock again. That fixed my issue and lag for me.

This helped me for about a day, and then the lag came back... note that (for me at least) the delay has only ever happened maybe 10% of the time, so it takes a while to test if it's actually fixed.
also it seems to be worst when swiping up into an application vs. down to the home screen.
I am experiencing this too since upgrading to 4.4. Gonna try disabling /reenabling Slidelock , see if it helps

Fix a no go for me
Tried the method posted above on my AT&T Moto X (newly updated to 4.4). Literally no more than ten minutes later, the lag was back. This is unfortunate.
on the soak test forums this has been reported by a lot of users, so Motorola is aware

They must have been well aware of it before they released any of the official 4.4 versions. While it doesn't happen all the time it happens enough any Motorola employee using it would have noticed. And they have been testing it for at least two weeks so really no excuse.
I believe they knew perfectly well about it but decided to push out the update anyway to be first to get 4.4 out the door.
I've been very impressed with Motorola so far, but this is a bit of a black mark, hopefully they are already working on a fix.
Does anybody else get a force close when going to Settings ==> Security? The lag described in this thread and my issue happened when I upgraded to 4.4, so I figure it's something related.
Guys I was getting the same issue after its update. I had some other issues with apps not installing force closing etc so I bit the bullet and did a factory data reset through recovery. Lag is gone and all other issues with KitKat fixed. YMMV

Did this for unrelated reason and now all my 4.4 quirks seem to be gone.

I just got done re-installing everything after doing a factory reset, and I'm still having the black screen for a second or two after unlocking an active notification. So I would definitely not recommend other people try this, unless you want to waste a few hours re-installing stuff.

I was just about to do a reset. Glad I came back here first.
I am also experiencing the lag. It seems to do it more when an app (such as chrome) is open when locking. I also noticed I have a really hard time with the two finger swipe down on the notification bar as well.

I even fastbooted the official firmware to complete stock again and I'm still getting it. It's obviously firmware related.
I have noticed that sometimes both of these functions stop working randomly and only return upon a reboot. Anyone else have this issue?

I haven't used camera twist much, but I haven't had any problems with it. Also none with active notifications. What are you running on your X?
I'm just running stock rooted 4.4

Active Display is working for me but not Camera Twist.

No problem with either of those features for me. You might want to try a factory reset.
All of a sudden today my wife's N6 started taking pics upside down with the rear camera. I've tried uninstalling updates to the camera app, as well as the Google photos app. Nothing has worked. She is still on Lollipop. Anyone else experience this?

I have seen another thread about something similar and I think it was one of the sensors went bad but don't remember where I seen the thread. Actually it may have been a Samsung phone.
I hope that's not the case. I'm at a loss at this point. Probably going to have her call Motorola.

Just noticed that her screen will not auto rotate either. Tried the toggle in the notification menu, as well as the setting under display. It seems like perhaps these two issues are connected somehow. I wiped cache and rebooted but no fix. Any other ideas?

I fixed it by dropping the phone on the rug! Her accelerometer was stuck.
