Can anyone help me get Drive link to work? I've tried so many different types of Roms and set-ups. I'm now starting to talk about it in my sleep!!!
I have Alpine X8 - every time I connect the note it states "this device is not supported". Apparently is has something to do with the TMServerApp.apk, which I've tried installing as a system app on several different Roms.
Can anyone help me I really love my N7000. I don't really want to buy a new phone.
Thanks Rob
Anyone???

Is there anyone out there that can give me any hope? Should I just go and buy a Note 2?

Hi guys,
Anyone know if one of the cooked roms works with Blackberry Connect yet?
It's killing me that I can't get this app working
John.
Would be interested in this one as well, won't need to carry 2 phones around then
Same here. Have tried last version of BBC but as I understand it wont work untill BB adds the hd to there allowed phones or something. They have to add IMEI numbers, I heard. So sw works but you cant register it at BB.

Okay call my adventurous or maybe stupid but could someone tell me if there is a thread that can help me with my issue.
I tried loading the AT&T Rom on my Bell I9000, thought it would be cool to try, but now I cannot get into download mode. I have been reading some threads and I guess loading the Rom has changed the three button configuration, then to add insult to injury when I plug in the phone to try and use adb it kills the USB connection and I cannot get into download mode this way either! Looks like I have a matching set of SGS bricks for a Christmas gift for someone!
Thanks in advance for anyone who might have a solution!!

Are you talking about the Verizon Fascinate or AT&T Captivate? There is no "AT&T Fascinate."
Sorry dude, that's a tough situation. Not to be rude, but why the heck would you be the first one to try this? It's incredibly risky flashing a ROM from a different device without knowing what will happen first. IMO the quantity and quality of I9000 ROMs is better anyway.
Hey,
Sorry for the confusion it is the AT&T Captivate Froyo Rom, thought it would be better then all of the European Rom's that I was flashing but I guess.......I WAS WRONG!!!
Flashing a captivate ROM onto SGS is never a good idea. Bad things happen.
if all else fails, you can make a usb jig that triggers download mode. theres a few threads on it around here somewhere.
actually here it is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551

Amen. See Exhibit A =(
I think this is one of many side affects of the "consumerization of XDA-Developers." We have users without adequate knowledge trying things that they never should.
Well I guess this is the reason that I have moved away from Android based phones! There is a great deal of room to interpret the information that many experienced users take for granted and unfortunately the end result for a newbie is only frustration and cost!
One Android User Down!!

Sorry, but that just plain common sense. You don't flash symbian on iphone. Captivate is a different phone.
That said - your not actually ****ed. Just go to google and find out captivate download button configuration. It was something like vol up, vol down power. And flash normal firmware.

All experienced users started at the same stage as you.
Except we READ the forums, asked QUESTIONS and gained knowledge.
Then when we were SURE, we flashed our first firmware.
OK...Power off the phone completely...hold down BOTH volume buttons and plug the USB cable in. DO NOT touch the power button. You should go right into download mode.
Hi,
Just wanted to give an update to my situation, and I followed the advice about the usb jig and to my big smiling face, success, reflashed a new firmware and my SGS is ALIVE once more!!!!!

Hello everyone,
I am new to all these ROM's and cannot find a definitive answer to my question. I would like to know which custom ROM supports WiFi-Direct perfectly? I am creating an app that will use WiFi-Direct to share data and hence would like to know this, so when I can actually use the WiFi-Direct API in my code, it works the way it's supposed to. Please reply...Thanks in advance!
I had this issue. Trying to get my SGS1 to talk to my other SGS1. I finally found "PeerDeviceNet" in the Play Store. It actually works. You could try it, there's a free version to test with. I bought it, 'cause it works!

You don't get it, the objective here is to not just use a third party app, this is my original app. Secondly, I am looking for native support for WiFi-Direct so I can use the API for android developers for WiFi-Direct, and use all the methods from it to connect and share data.
If you would want to really see if your current ROM supports WiFi Direct than download this and see if it shows your own device under "My device"...

Anybody else?
Anybody else can tell me which ROM/ROMs support WiFi-Direct natively?
To test, try this app and see if it recognizes your phone and is able to connect to another device...

Oops , I did misunderstand.
I tried to install WiFi Direct, but the Play Store gave me this.
This app is incompatible with all of your devices.
Samsung GT-I9000 (last used April, 2013)
This item cannot be installed in your device's country.
I've never come across this error.
Looks like I can't help. Sorry.

Its a bit strange how neither stock roms nor custom roms seem to support Wifi Direct, considering that the SGS was apparently the first ever Android phone to be Wifi-Direct certified (or something like that).
I'm sorry but I don't have an answer to your question, I haven't found any roms that natively support it... I don't think any roms so far can for the I9000...

Hello, i've been trying for the past 3 days to buy the phone on their official page and every time it makes me log-in, I try to log in and then it says "Invalid multipass request".
I have tried in 3 different browsers, 2 different computers, and even on my mobile phone, and nothing works. Their support just told me "change browsers" and that was it.
Anyone has had this problem or has any idea on how to solve it? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the advice, but i already set my mind on buying it, i dont really mind the software, i can just install whatever when i get it and flash it or root it and whatnot. What i really want is raw power at low cost, which is what this mobile provides.
As long as i can play and read manga in it im fine with it thanks for the advice though

Hey, I have an old China phone that's more a paperweight than a phone because every time I connect it to the internet (via a safe network) it begins downloading viruses and weird apps that try to display apps, and if I happen to uninstall them, the phone simply bricks again and doesn't works unless I do a factory reset. Know if there's any way to fix it? I can't seem to be able to root it, let alone install a custom ROM.
It's got Android 5 I believe, a friend gave it to me because it can't be used for anything because of the viruses.
I'd make a thread but I don't even know where it is right now and I think on top of all the USB port is busted.

Yeah and the phone number to black out also... Not a good idea to display either information in a public forum...
