ICS problems

Hi !
Tried almost all ICS . They all have apps crashing after a while . Like Music ..unfortunately music has stopped....
Can someone help please ?

How did you flash them? Did you restore your apps, with titanium or something like tb?

i think it depend in the rom u tried and how do u flash it :/
to do a clean flash:
try to wibe data, catch, delvik catch
format system, catch, datadata and data
and then try to flash the rom

copy it to your sd card
switch to cwm
hmm ... take a backup first may it will be useful in future ... if you got bootloop just restore it
wipe dalvik cache and cache partition ..
install this ..
reboot ...

Umm seems like your mount points are wrong. Anyone have tryed mounting from recovery first?

Xperia Z album issues

Xperia Z stock album app is not generating video thumbnails. I cleared the album cache due toh which this problem has occured.
I tried doing the factory reset and phone repair using Sony Update Service but still its the same.
Any solutions??

ohhh...i thought i was the only one with this issue. ya i got this problem after the latest firmware update.
are you getting black thumbnail on videos with a play icon on it?
did u clear ur album cache??

i am using the latest firmware 10.1.1.A.1.253
no only downloaded movie thumbnails are not coming.
your screenshot is showing camera recorded video thumbnails. right??

I don't think its the firmware issue, I got this problem even when on prev fw.
Have you tried rebooting your phone?
Clean cache?
Try it and report back

Did everything...reset the phone to factory settings and repaired it using Sony Update Service also but it's still the same. This problem came after cleaning album cache itself.

^Just browse to the folder where those videos are located and check if it has a ".nomedia" file.
If it exists, then delete the file, clear album cache and reboot. Hopefully that should fix it!

No there is no such file. Video thumbnails are getting generated in movie app and all other players and file explorers except the album app.

What happens when you click on those blank ones?
Anyways, try this:
Open the DCIM folder in any File Manager app, under that delete the ".thumbnails" folder.
Now open Settings -> Apps -> All -> Album -> Clear Data/Cache -> Go Back -> Scroll down until you find "Media Storage" -> Once again Clear Data/Cache -> REBOOT.
Try it and let me know how it goes..

Video plays normally on clicking the play button. There are no .thumbnail file or folder in DCIM folder. Tried cleaning cache and data from both album and media storage but no use.
Video thumbnails are coming fine in movie app.

Try install this Album,install as normal apk or push it to system/app and set permissions to RW-R-R and reboot your phone.

How to push it to system app and set the permissions?
On normal install the app goes on reboot.

Install normal it reboot what?
You need to root your phone to push it to system/app...

I mean to say that on installing the app normally it uninstalls automatically on reboot and comes back to stock app.

I have this problem, too.

Yes mine also happened after the update. Is your problem fixed now? Did you try cleaning your album cache or something else?

I had the same problem a while ago. When I was adding a .nomedia file. To hide whatsapp images. Then all my pictures displayed as video.. Deleting .nomedia file, reboot etc did not work. What did work, was a full reset :/ But that fixed my problem in my case

Front camera is not working

I'm on SOKP ROM and flashed Moto Cam Zip after sometime when I try to open Front Cam it says Restart Camera and doesn't work. After Rebooting it works but again it gives the same error.Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

I have found that what one person likes in a camera, others like in another camera. I like DSLR Camera Pro because it has about every setting you can get in a camera app. I would suggest trying some of the free camera apps on Play, there are a bunch of them.

Marshmallow - Gallery Gone?

I upgraded to marshmallow yesterday and i noticed that my gallery is not working anymore, anytime i try to get to it, it says gallery has stopped (like an error) My question is: did marshmallow do away with the gallery and only uses google photos now???

Try going to settings/application /application manager and clearing cache and data for gallery

Having the same update problems. I did what was suggested clear cache, clear data restart phone etc... and the gallery still does not work I don't know what to do.
