Bluetooth connection on 5.5 Roms - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I'm running SWG 5.5 v1.42 & seem to be having issues with my bluetooth connection in my car. Phone connects to my Pioneer radio with no problems. I'm able to play music from all music apps but when connected to phone calls I'm getting no sound. Tried the radio with my wife's EvoLTE & it works flawlessly. Is anyone else having this issue, it's it a 5.5 thing or just SWG or do I need to do a full wipe & reinstall Rom. Thank you in advance

I still show the it as being on however I am not able to use it for file transfers(this is the only thing I currently use bluetooth for). I have this issue on various ROMS Cognition 3.04, Serendipity, and di11is5.1. Anybody else with this issue.

Blue tooth connection drop
I have encountered more than couple of times while using the blue tooth to connect to my hands free system (in car). In the middle of a call the blue tooth drops connection with the hands free system. The call does not get dropped, but the connections between the systems.
Any suggestions !!

Try the rom in my signature. All versions have a working bluetooth. I talk all time on my car bluetooth handsfree and don't remember a single time when the call dropped (dropped as in bluetooth failing and call getting back to phone).
I had a similar problem when I flashed a kernel that was not compatible with my rom. Find a matching kernel and rom, flash and master clear and see if that helps.
I get at least 1 and sometimes 2 FC's on bluetoothOPP each time I boot.
Still, I have not trouble with the bluetooth connection in my car. It works perfectly.
I'm not sure what bluetoothOPP does, so I've not removed it.
I'm running Serendipity 4.3.
I am not worried about connecting to headsets or handsfree cars. I would like to be able to send file such as pics and mp3s to my friends and family.

Has anybody else had this issue. I would really like to be able to share files via bluetooth with my kids.
I have just flashed back to stock using Odin and I have no problem doing this.
After flashing back to di11is5.3 I figured out what was happening to the bluetooth. I was restoring the stock system files over the new ones all is fixed.

[Q] Why does my bluetooth cut in and out when playing pandora?

This is driving me nuts. Sometimes its worse than others but I'm having difficulties with playing Pandora over bluetooth. Its even worse with wifi on, as if the wifi signal interferes with the bluetooth signal. But its very annoying. when I listen to music i want it to be constant, not stuttering. Also it seems if i do anything else while I'm listening to pandora the music will stutter. Even unlocking the screen! It works better over 3G and I didn't have the issue on cyanogenmod, but on stock based roms I"m not having much luck. Currently using Saurom KK4. Anyone got any advice? This is driving me nuts!
Anyone?

[Q] Bluetooth Car Audio Issues

Hello fellow HTC One members/XDA enthusiasts!
I have owned many phones in the past few years and never had any issues pairing with bluetooth devices until now.
I have a Pioneer X910 in dash head unit in my car and briefly had the audio working (no on screen information) but then it stopped and when I hit play it started playing out of the phones speakers.
It does say that the phone is connected and on the phone itself it sees Pioneer Navi and also in the settings it shows audio enabled.
Now for the life of me I cannot get any music playing over BT in my car. I have yet to try phone calls with it.
BTW I have my phone rooted with OrDroid on it.
Has anyone had this problem or know the solution? I can play music on my BT speaker in my house but not on my Pioneer X910
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
No one is having this issue?
I may have to return this phone if this feature doesn't work...
Also my work email is not being "Pushed" through EAS....really frustrated with such a beautiful phone...
Which ordroid version are you working on?
HTC tweaked some bluetooth things during 1.29.401.5, and every Update some problems disappear...

I'm on OrDroid 3.0.0
I un-paired the device today and re-paired, started to work for a few seconds, shut the screen off, it stopped working and now won't play through the speakers anymore.
BTW I'm using N7 music player

I had a similar issue pairing my old EVO 4G with my Ford Sync system via blue tooth. Don't know if this is related but the issue I had was when Sync tried to download my contacts/address book it would choke. Turned out Sync couldn't handle merged contacts. If your Pioneer is trying to download your contacts try disabling it.
still not working. i am now using trickdroid 5.1.0 and it does the same thing.
very frustrating
anyone else having these issues?

Works fine with my Pioneer AVH 2400BT, even displays the Track Info on the head unit. I did notice the audio breaking up when using Tom Tom and listening to music at the same time.
Have you tried disabling wifi on the phone?

Revolution HD ROM might be worth a try, maybe it has a more up to date version of Blue Tooth. Is your Pioneer on the latest firmware? If not it might be worth updating it too.

[Q] Data connection and Pandora streaming issue

Hi all,
I've spent the last day trying to solve this issue and searching for answers on xda and elsewhere but there doesn't seem to be a solution. I have an HTC One, rooted, s-off, and running ViperOne. I recently upgraded my data plan and no longer have to worry about conserving my data each month so I started using Pandora in my car via Bluetooth. Bluetooth connection from my phone to the car has never been an issue. However, when I run Pandora, initially it has no problems connecting and will start playing a station right away but then when a song ends (and the screen has turned off), I always get the message that Pandora is unable to connect. Once I wake the screen, it magically starts playing the next song. Then when that song ends, the connectivity problem happens again and the only way to get it starting again is to once again unlock my phone, which is not exactly safe if I'm driving along and trying to be a safe driver by not fiddling with the phone. I've tested this out in the same spot in my home using my home wireless internet, and it works flawlessly. Even when the screen is off, the next song will play. Once I'm back on LTE, same problem happens again. I've already disabled the Power Saver option to not turn off data connection when the screen is off and turned off Sleep Mode. I'm wondering if this happens to anyone running stock software on their HTC One? Going through the ViperOne thread, it has appeared to be an issue for others as well. Thanks
Im on stock TMO HTC One and have streamed pandora, siriusxm and google play music many times on my way home with no issues.
Mainly through the headset jack. But for a few weeks i did use the HTC audio bridge A100 to stream music via bluetooth and that also had no issues.
Try to test another BT device OR if your vehicle has a stereo headset jack input try that. See if you get the same results.
Thanks for the quick reply. The problem seems to occur whether or not I'm using Pandora in my car via Bluetooth or just running Pandora by itself in my house as background music.

Any luck finding an answer to this? I'm having this same problem with TuneIn and XiiaLive, and haven't been able to find anything.
I've also completely uninstalled Viper Audio, so I'm thinking that isn't the issue.

I ended up wiping and re-installing Viper and the problem didn't happen anymore. I have not had any problems since. I think the thing to make sure of is that on whatever app you're having trouble with, to make sure you're not restricting background data for it in Data Usage.

Bluetooth streaming issue

I am trying to stream music through Bluetooth in my BMW iDrive and I cannot get it to work with apps like Spotify, TuneIn. My phone is a Sprint HTC One M7 (4.1.2) and it streams fine the mp3 stored on the phone (played through the HTC Music app), so I know it is possible and it should work, but not with those internet streaming apps. Previously, I was using it in my VW and it has always worked great.
I tried many time the usual unpair/pair thing, I updated the BMW software to the latest, and still nothing.
Before upgrading my phone, I wanted to check if someone has any idea on this?
Possible to upgrade the Bluetooth stack only maybe?
Nobody experienced this?
Any idea that could help me? What else could I try to debug this?
I upgraded my phone to the KitKat version and now everything is working fine.
