Hi guys, I have a problem with a phone from Ebay...
I buy an Atrix HD for unlock but the big trouble is that I can't. When insert the micro sim, the phone says that is "subsidy locked" and thats all...
Know any solution to the problem?
I searched for hours and not find anything...except an manual for the original atrix and atrix 2.
amilkhanzada. com/2012/03/ how-to-unlock-permanently-network.html
Someone knows the "retail radio sbf" for the atrix hd?
This link is the only that I find
Well, sorry for my bad english....I failed english at school xdd (Im from South America, Colombia for be more specific).
Cheers and thanks
Subsidy lock means it's locked to AT&T. You need to buy an unlock code. Look at eBay.

Yes, is stock rom
I'm not if it applies to the AHD but it may be "hard locked" due to too many failed attempts to enter a network unlock code.

There are code providers, that can also find the hard lock code, for additional cost, usually. Be sure to tell/ask them about your situation.
You might try with another providers SIM, perhaps it will prompt you for unlock code.

The problem is the insane "subsidy locked" :C
I cant enter any code. The only "way" is remove the non accepted sim card and dial the number #073887* but not sure if it would work.
When I insert the non accepted sim card appear that message automatically (image) and is supposed the window should appear to enter the unlock code.
I'll ask to see if they can help me and tomorrow try with other sim cards :C

Well, you may think this is normal, but not for me. Yes, i recognized it, I'm a noob, that's why my post. Recently I install in my cellphone a new rom (Nostalgia M4V5-3 Deluxe), but since then i got no service in my phone. I had bought an unlock code because I don't live in USA. So, i saw this post :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=761045... i made exactly what it says, my surprice was that apparently my Captivate was already unlock (in the line doesn't appear a "01"), so, i prove to lock and test the code that I bought... doesn't work.... unlocked it, but i have the same problem... can you give me a clue?? should I get back to the stock froyo and try the code i bought??? Thanks to all sincerely...

I had solve my problem... exactly I don't what's going on with that rom, so, i search another one... And i found this:
http://www.androidvzla.com/2012/01/dispositivos-samsung-galaxy.html
The page is in spanish, but look the highmarked place when it said Captivate, and you can download the rom. For me it was fine
So, basically, I got a new pay-as-you-go SIM and I don't want to buy a new phone for it. I was looking for methods to unlock my current galaxy ace, it's rooted and I have a custom ROM on it- The Ultimatum by The "A" Factor. I got my unlock codes and put the SIM in expecting to get a screen saying phone is locked, please put in unlock code or something similar that usually happens. However nothing came up but when the phone finished booting, I had no service and can't use it for calls or anything which suggests that the phone is still locked, I tried using the *#7465525# service code, but I got an error saying no service or incorrect MUDI code or something like that. Is it possible that flashing a new ROM wiped the unlocking procedures and is there anyway for me to know if my phone is unlocked and if not, can I still unlock it?

Didn't show you nothing to introduce the code?¿
... try introducing another SIM from other carrier... when you boot then automatically should ask you to introduce the unlock code
If it doesn't work you could phone to the device's carrier, the carrier must help you if you finished your contract

I do have another SIM from another carrier, but the screen isn't showing up, I've been scouring the internet and found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1335548 , turns out it won't show because of my ROM, so I'll have to switch to stock like you said, before I do that though I'll try that code he said at the end to see if it will unlock. Thanks :good:

Hello guys. I have a bit of a problem. I have bought a Droid 3 , blocked on Verizon and it doesn't ask me for the unlock code. I searched everywhere and did not come with an answer. I have to mention that I am from Europe and the person that had the phone before, tried to put the codes more than one times and that may be the cause. Can this be fixed? Thx.

Hi, did you try to leave the phone on for about 2 hours? It should ask you to insert the unlock code at a certain point, even if the maxumim number of tries has been reached.
Is it XT862 model?
Yes i tried, i left it for an entire night. Yes it is the XT862 model.

If you dial #073887* the sim unlock code prompt should appear.
Please try that, if you haven't done it yet.
Done that. Nothing happened. I dialed the code into the dialer application. Have i done something wrong? Thank for the help , by the way.

You're welcome.
I don't think you did something wrong, you just have to type that code in the dialer and when you insert the last '*' symbol the prompt should appear. I tried it on my Milestone 2 (that has never been locked) and it works.
Are you running the stock GB rom or there is a custom one installed?
Did you try with another SIM card?
i am running the stock verizon GB.

Thats another story.... very good question but, I don't know the answer.
But I don't know if you'll be able to unlock it with flash... at least with the
programs and cables available for a normal user, and without extra hardware for that...
Keep on trying, maybe you find someone who knows how to. Sorry...

o you think the problem is because the phone is Canadian and his system is not compatible with other GSM networks?

I don't think that would be the case... the p880g is unique in that it supports AWS frequencies (necessary for Wind and Videotron, but also used by T-Mobile in the U.S.). But it still supports other GSM frequencies. For example, my Wind p880g will roam on Rogers when I'm out of the Wind Home zones.
Sorry I don't have any more info on your issue. :-/
Hi guys, I'm trying to unlock my S3 Mini and I'm having no luck so far. I've managed to root the phone using the iRoot (former Vroot) program and it worked nicely. At least it seems it did, now it does ask me to give su eprmissions to allpications and busybox is installed.
As for the unlocking itself, I tried several methods. Firstly, there was some service menu, accessible by a long string of numbers on the dialer, then going to network lock menu and setting something there, but the menu isn't there. Or better said, when I come to the Network Lock, it says only Not Active and no further options available. Then I tried the GalaxSim Unlock just to see, but as it said in the notes, this version of phone is not supported and so it didn't work. Same with another app, Galaxy S Unlock, or something like that. That one needs busybox, so I installed the 1.22 I think, but it says that there is a problem with busybox or something. It does say in the notes, that recommended is 1.17 busybox, so I keep that as a backup hope but it seems again, that the phone is not supported...
So basically, I have a rooted S3 Mini, that is still locked to T-mobile. I'm not sure, whether the country of origin matters here, but I think it was purchased in Austria (I am not the first owner) and need to unlock it for slovak O2. So far I am actually very happy with it's stock ROM, so I'm not planning to flash it completely, just sim unlock. So if anyone has any idea, what I can do to avoid going to a phone service and have it done for money, I'd appreciate it.
