Hi folks,
what's currently the best ROM to use PDroid on the Nexus 7?
I'd prefer an experience as close to a stock ROM as possible. It seems that 4.2.1 ROMs are out (not supported by the AutoPatcher), and I've tried to patch a few of the 4.2 ROMs floating around and haven't had much success either. Who is currently running PDroid and what ROM did you use as a base?

AFAIK opensensation2 has pdroid installed
You haven't had much success because development was dropped a long time ago. It only supports gingerbread.... sorry bud. I loved pdroid too

I should have clarified that I'm using PDroid 2.0, which is under active development for Jelly Bean.
Thanks for the tip regarding OpenSensation. For the time being I now patched a vanilla 4.1.2 AOSP build (4.2.1 is being worked on). Will look at OpenSensation these days.

Well I don't have a Sensation... and OpenSensation for the Nexus seems to be pretty much in beta... not to mention that the OpenSensation developer has been warning people that his server is compromised and that they shouldn't download anything (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35428325&postcount=9591), so I'll be taking my time with this.

Hi, Sure... But when???
Here in Sweden we just got 4.1.2. So i assume we have some monts of waiting..
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be revealed for the new Google Phone during Google I/O in May 2013.
So hope to get the 4.2 in May.
Exact but it is not small differences between the 4.1.2 and the 4.2..So i prefer to update direct to 5.0
Hi,

As been mentioned cm10.1 almost up and running on lte ...ive tryed it myself not bad like been said few bugs but nothing that wont be fixed within couple of weeks at most with luck..Not reall any full time let alone part time developers really working on it...maybe now the thing actually runs pretty well they might get there butts in to gear and finish rom off..lol and we shall become bloody enlightened with there wisdom...
Sv: JB 4.2 to i9300/9305
It would be nice to see it came alive so we can try...

Now there is both CM10.1 in alpha and a RC of LiquidSmooth.
None of them is perfect yet, but with the speed of development the last couple of weeks I think its just a matter of days.
As mentioned in the previous posts, yea there are roms for 4.2.1/2 already! like CM10.1 and Liquidsmooth (4.2.2)
Personally I would say go for LiquidSmooth. For now, it has better support and lesser bugs
I've tried Android 4.2.1 with CM mod but it's a little bit disappointing. I can't see any real useful changes so far.

no, Samsung will not release Exynos sources, so it will never be final
I hate to say it but we are either gonna get more support in next months or less support.

Hello everyone, Like everyones know Galaxy mini (s5570) received kitkat/Jelly Bean(cyanogenmod 11/10.2[unofficial]) , since samsung stopped supporting this device devs've started a hard work to update this device.
All AndroidArmv6 Team specially @erikcas , @yajnab , @psyke83 (remember if i forget you and sorry)
and at the moment we're getting stable rom of kitkat and already stable jellybean
Kitkat 4.4.x:
Whats Working ??
everything
what is wrong on this rom ?
batery drains too faster this problems contains in many others kk ROMs including devices . ask google to fix .. xd
Jelly Bean 4.3.x:
Whats working ??
everything
Whats wrong on this rom ?
only small things
the rom was in alpha stage, but already is stable, some people using it daily.
At the moment Jelly beam 4.3 was a amazing rom for daily, lastest's releases from jenkins are incredible.
where i can find more info ?
- you can search for yajnab Tread in Original development section.
Where i can download the rom ?
- look for Jenkins.androidarmv6.org/view/Android/Builds (download only "TASS" builds)
you can look too for Review.androidarmv6.org (see it for reviews of fixed etc)
Where can i find Gapps ?
- i think no was a full package for Gapps (no much space left in the system)
Whats never going to be fixed ?
- google now voice search (dont wait for it, never going to be fixed, why ? device its armv6 google now voice search works only in armv7 .) and others few things
batery- KitKat really takes so much batery!
do thanks for devs of armv6 Team.
if possible donate or pay a drink for their
if you have anything that can help with the development post here. (fixes solutions etc)
i stopped testing with this Device since i buyed a Lg optimus L5(E612)
but i'm here you can use my PM to help (question possible solutions littles things too)
and sorry for my slower updates, its why i'm not at home theses days and i have only 5% of free time to check the forum.
Hot News!!! :
all changes are going to be merged so if any build have a old bug dont worry . only report .

on general kitkat just need minimum 512MB RAM right?? for JB need 1GB ram ??
sorry for my english
Guys,I dont want to destroy your hope but, I have 4.4 on my XT and RAM manager is still pretty same as it was on CM10.2 ..still 300mb +- RAM in use.
Maybe is minimum requirement 512MB but mini have only 279MB.

384MB* About 105MB of it is system reserved, which is not accounted by the requirements.
Why are we worried? JB needs 1gb and it ran on Mini. KK needs half of it, it should run just fine.
android 4.4 was made by google optimized to take less ram memory.
will work better than cm10-10.1-10.2 .
galaxy mini no have a totally hardware support but no have problem try right ?
As my Gio just died, I'm back to reading these forums for the sake of keeping my brother's Mini decent now, haha.
Speaking of which, yeah, I'm curious how CM11 will run, seeing how anything up to CM10 runs smoothly (CM10.1 not so much, CM10.2 horribly).
We'll get a surprise. Two possibilities is that it's either going to run so horribly that we'll not even consider using it, or it'll be as nice and smooth as CM9 is if not better (Although I wouldn't count on that).

cyanogenmod 11 promisses , why kitkat was optimized low memory and more other optimizations.
lastest release of cm 10.1 was better than cyanogenmod 10 .

Hi guys hopefully here the community may have an answer for me the thing is this one:
Today I decided to finally give a chance to KitKat based roms after months of watching the forum and development from guys like golden-guy, NovaFusion team and Android-Andy (sorry if I typed one of them wrong) and after trying to install my apps and finish customizing my phone decided to restart my device with one issue in every single rom either it was SlimKat from Android - Andy, Omni from Golden-guy and CM11 and Paranoid from NovaFusion team, some apps were uninstalled with no reason apps like Nova Launcher and SwiftKey just to name a few were not there anymore I don't know if it was because of installing Xposed Framework or what but that issue happened to me with all four roms [emoji17]
I went back to stock as I don't have that issue here, I'm sad because I really wanted to try KitKat after waiting a long time but that problem after every reboot and losing apps out of nowhere has forced me to wait even more.
Is anyone here who has had that issue too? How did you fix it?
If not, any opinion would be really apreciated thanks in advance, peace.

Hello,
I just recently rooted my Samsung GT i9305 and completed a nandroid backup on CWM. I was wondering if I could still use the Paranoid Beta 5 ROM for Samsung GT i9305. I've tried flashing it and gave me Installation Error 7, which basically means that CWM checked the rom and wasn't the right rom for GT i9305. Is there a fix for the Error 7 or should I just get another ROM instead? Any Android L look alternatives? Hazy Rom is one but thats for GT i9300 aswell :/

This may sound naive, but why are developers having such a hard time building ROMS for the the LTE International Version of the GS3 when, compared to the i9300 model, is exactly the same (but of course we have more 1GB more RAM). All the ROMS for the i9305 model are all very dated. Kit Kat is know history, please bring Lollipop to the i9305! Loving material design by the way Good on ya Google!:good

Yeah I saw pics of PA and I was addicted! But I checked their site and the i9300 was part of their "legacy" program, maintaining Paranoid for i9300 International and US users. Therefore, I doubt they will make one for i9305 since two years is probably the ending time for OS updates, but of course its different for custom ROMS. I still hope that they do develop one though :/ But don't get your hope up.

Really?! I didn't know that we had PA? But it would make sense when they created the ROM for i9300 that they would make one for the i9305. But that really is a pity. So are there anyone on xda willing to build on PA? As you said, I think there may be building problems with PA so people may be unmotivated to build it.
