I wanted to flash the Android Revolution 5.1 rom on my internation htc one, got bootloader unlocked, S-OFF and TWRP recovery
i flashed the rom with aroma, at the end i got an error : set_metadata recursive some changes failed
i finished and rebooted
it gets past the htc screen then goes into recovery for the first few times
and now it keeps bootlooping
i can still access bootloader/fastboot so any suggestions to getting back to stock or actually fixing this flash?

Hey guys, I'm in need of some help....
I was flashing an update to my ROM on my unlocked HTC One using CWM touch recovery. The aroma update process appeared to complete correctly and i rebooted the phone however, it failed to get past the bootloader screen trying to boot the rom. When it bootlooped back into recovery I discovered I have a pretty major problem, the bootloader attempted to boot into recovery, flashed up the CWM recovery screen, but then that bootlooped too. I can reboot into HBOOT/fastboot but nothing else. I have tried fastboot flash recovery to TWRP and CWM but they are still flashing up and then rebooting. Any ideas on what I can do to dry and rectify this? I don't really fancy a £600 paperweight a couple of weeks after getting it...
Cheers
Hello Everyone.
Some days ago I tried to flash newest android revolution ROM to get Sense 6 on my phone.
After the flashing my phone stucks on boot HTC logo and I thought that ROM could have been flashed incorrectly and wanted to flash It once again.
I noticed that I cant go to the recovery ( It shows "enetering recovery" and restarts the phone) so I tried to flash other recovery with newest CWM or newest TWRP - i tried with few versions of recovery with no result... shows "entering recovery" and restarts the phone.
Is there any way to back my m7 to life?
My fastboot is tampered and unlicked if it is any help.
I would appreciate any help.

dear friend,
i just had my htc one s-off with firewater , and then tried to install viperone 2.6.0, after the script ran successfully in twrp 2.7.1 with aroma installer , my mobile is stuck on htc start up screen and constantly restarting, though i am able to enter into recovery.
then i flashed viperone rom again with same result, ultimately i flash ruu specific for verizon and again repeated the procedure but cant go past the start up screen
i am s=off , supercid, unfortunaately cant even have a stock cid with repeated attempts, it keeps saying, failed to write invalid cid,
please friend help me,
only reason i purchased one is because i want to run custom rom on it [ like viperone, insertcoin and all other awesome roms]
Hello,
Tried rooting my phone with no prior experience. Worked, but eventually I got to where the phone wouldn't boot past splash screen (logo came up, then screen went black while backlight is on and didn't respond to stimuli until battery was removed). Possibly resulted from a build.prop file problem. Did get into boot though, so I fixed that problem by installing a cyanogen rom from a zip file using twrp recovery. I didn't want a custom mod though since I'm used to the look and feel of the 4.0.3 ICS I had, and the cyanogen doesn't seem to have google play so I can't even download anything (original purpose of rooting was to get incompatible apps by spoofing via build.prop file). Currently trying to get back to stock. Unfortunately I didn't make a nandroid backup of the system before the problem occurred, hence I have no backup to flash.
What I tried:
1. Use the official HTC 4.0.3 RUU .exe to upload to the phone. Unfortunately HTC Sync doesn't see this phone, even though I have the correct drivers installed.
2. Attempted to use twrp recovery to install the rom.zip extracted from the RUU directly, the same way I successfully installed the cyanogenmod rom. Failed, claiming it's unable to open zip. The .zip file was checked for integrity and returned by an archiver app.
3. Tried to use these commands from the cmd with phone connected to install the .zip from fastboot:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRuu
fastboot flash zip rom.zip (rom.zip being the functional file of the stock rom)
Failed, saying it's not allowed. Tried it with both locked and unlocked bootloader, no difference.
4. Unzipped the file and tried to flash the system.img file directly, but that failed with a "data length is too large" error.
5. My recovery being twrp 2.1.1, tried looking for altenatives. Can't find any links to download the WCX recovery, but I found several for newer twrp versions, including 2.3.1.0 and 2.6.3.0 which I tried downloading flashing. After flashing the phone got stuck at the cyanogenmod loading logo and wouldn't boot further, and the recovery itself didn't work, just showed the HTC splash, turned black, then booted again normally, getting stuck at the cyanogen logo. Same thing for the 2.6.3.0 version, so I reflashed the original 2.1.1, at which point I can get into recovery but the phone is still stuck at the cyanogenmod during normal boot. At this point I installed the original cyanogenmod .zip from recovery and now at least the phone boots up normally. Still need to get stock back somehow.
Out of ideas and exhausted from this. Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps anyone has a working stock 4.0.3 rom for the Vivid, nandroid backup, etc., or any other ideas. Thanks for reading.
Oh crap...
OK... First... Stock rom can be found in development... Most of the roms there are stock... Read the OP... It'll tell you...
Second... You should use TWRP 2.5.3.0 or something like that I forget...
Third... When you tried the ruu... Did you relock your bootloader...
Side note... Could you get your phone to show up with 'fastboot devices'
hello guys ...i am trying to install/update on stock kitkat rom on my htc vivid currently having stock gingerbread...
1. i have tried using PH39IMG.zip (stock at&t rom) by copying it in sdcard...update goes smooth and installation is successful...but later when i reboot the mobile, it gets stuck on white screen which green htc logo
2. then i tried updating it using htc sync and stock at&t RUU...it gives the error 132:signature problem
3. tried installing rom via twrp and cwm recoveries ...installation is smooth without any problem but the result is same that when i reboot the mobile, it gets stuck on white screen which green htc logo
4. i also tried to restore backup via cwm recovery ...again the result is when i reboot the mobile, it gets stuck on white screen which green htc logo...
my boot loader is unlocked when i tried PH39IMG.zip, CWM and TWRP recoveries for stock rom (relocked it when required for RUU).....but S lock is ON.....do i need to have S-OFF for all this ??
I have a similar problem. I have an unlocked bootloader, S-on, an NO OS. The phone has an old version of TWRP on it that won't allow me to flash an image. The OS is gone because I removed it trying to remove a software bug in the factory OS. I'm used to flashing Samsung/ LG phones using ODIN and never had an issue just reflashing a stock ROM.
I'm just looking for a way to get the stock rom back on the phone with or without retaining the stock recovery.
