but how can this be changed in the rom, before it was flashed? Is there a possibility to use a different launcher by replacing the original launcher.apk in the custom rom with 7zip or winrar, before I flash it?
e.g. i want to change the XperiaLauncher to LauncherPro
Extract the zip (rom), goto system/app/ delete xperia launcher and replace it with launcher pro (as you mentioned in above post).
Also similar for theme goto app in the roms zip and delete the theme, replace by xperia arc.
Rezip the rom and flash..

Hi all,
I recently changed the phonebook and conversation to the black theme from one of the posters here. I kind of want the stock look again. Unfortunately I didn't back up the stock APKs. Can someone upload them? I'm looking for stock 4.2.2 phonebook or from RomAur phonebook if it makes a difference.
Thanks

Give these a try
I'm not familiar with all but I replace them to system/app and change permissions to rw r r. I restarted phone and it crashes contact. Am I doing it right?

Find your original ROM .zip file on your PC (or download it again if you deleted it) extract the zip to anywhere on your PC.
Open the extracted folder, navigate to system/app, and you'll see all of the apks that come with that ROM.
Pull out the desired apks from this folder and copy them to your phone.
Change the permissions to rw- r-- r-- then move them to system/app, overwrite when prompted.
I've searched but I can't find an answer to this one, is there a mod to add say a close all button to the task manager on an Xperia t?
I know there is apps that will add a widget to a home screen, but I'm looking for something a little more integrated.
Thank you
Install Niaboc79's Honami Home & Widgets and you'll get it (I think, not sure, install it anyway this home is much better than the stock one)
Get the this and extract the task thingy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206308

Thanks that does appear to have the close all button I am after, just not sure how to extract and only install just that part?
I notice it comes alongside a notification toggle, but I really dont want to change the one I have as nreuge very kindly adapted a lidroid v2 notification toggle to have sony style found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2304996&d=1381018726
Could you possibly point me in the right direction on how to attach that close all part to my current task manager? Without changing my lidroid v2 notification toggles.
Thank You
Not to worry think I sorted it, just opened the zip with winrar and deleted the systemui.apk leaving just the taskswitcher.apk and then installed the zip with cwm
Seems to have left me with my lidroid toggles but added a nice close all button to my taskbar.
Thank You
Systemui is the notification bar dude...im saying task only

Well your previous explanation might have been a little brief for him.
- get the file as mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206308
- extract the zip file
- copy taskswitcher.apk to your mobile
- go to system/app on your mobile
- find taskswitcher.apk and copy it to a separate safe place
- copy the modified taskswitscher.apk into your system/app
- set correct permissions
- reboot
- enjoy
It works like a charm. Closing all tasks should be a factory item. Thanks for the hint, Steven!
Yeah cheers guys, I wasn't meaning I deleted systemui from my phone, I just deleted it from the zip so when I used cwm to install the zip it only installed the task apk, either way it's working perfectly with no glitches and I still have my nice notification toggles
Xposed framework puts a close all button in recent apps as well. I cant remember which module it is but I think it is xblast

Hi, on 4.1 the swipe to unlock text only was shown a few times after turning on the device, now in 4.3 is permanent, there is anyway to remove it?
Without root on Xperia V, if only can be removed with root tell me anyway, thanks :good:

I think i saw this in some Xperia-related Xposed module. I can't find it new coz i'm on Omni. I think... I'm not sure again!
Settings/security/screen lock, choose none and then install some locker from Play Store (ie Holo Locker).
It's not possible to get rid of that text I think.. You would have to decompile the lockscreen apk and either change the color of the text to transparent or replace the related string..
But without root, you won't be able to install your modified app.
Thus, it's not possible. :/

Thanks, I going to root it soon, but I'll wait to get a 4.3 "definitive" firmware or an easy rooting method that don't need to reflash the firmware, just bored of formating so many times and if I have to do it I would prefer it to be the last one
(Sorry if my English is confusing ^^")

I can understand you.. Lost root and recovery on 4.3 recently and ended up in a bootloop. Lost all data, had to restore via Flashtool.. :/
Hopefully we will soon be able to root our devices more easily. ^^

decompile the lockscreen.apk
there is a definition for the unlock hint in inte....xml
i did this long time ago so i cant remember its exact name
Okay, XV rooted, i'm gonna try to decompile and remove it.
Im not a dev so I dont really know how, just gonna try and see what happens
Well, just not as easy as i think, decompiled, modified the swype to unlock text (in english and spanish) and recompiled, installed in System/app and the lockscreen seems to be between the AOSP and Xperia Lockscreen, with the unlock circle of AOSP and clock/widgets of xperia, but im not able to apply a lockscreen wallpaper from gallery or screen settings so i will keep the original lockscreen till i find a way to make it work

Did you sign your recompiled apk?
Sent from my Xperia V using Tapatalk.
if the XT lockscreen apk will work on the XV, then you can grab that from some custom rom. for example my nonami rom has hidden "swipe to unlock" text and also i changed the blinds affected by touch.
cheers

Gonna try that or the Xposed module, thanks
System apps so have to be signed. I guess that's the reason it didn't work for you.
The only problem with this signing stuff is that you might need super user mod to make the apk install.
