Hi,
I was just installing the CM 10.1 ROM and I received the error "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped". After this, I tried to reinstall the stock boot.img I got from Android Revolution and I seem to have lost everything on the phone. When connected via USB, the phone folders are normally shown, but now they aren't. As well, when trying to boot, I get stuck at the HTC logo screen. I tried fastboot flash boot boot.img but I keep receiving the error that the device can't be detected and/or the partition "boot.img" can't be found. I did cd c:\Root (my rooting folder) beforehand and boot.img is in there. How do I factory reset as in reinstall original OS with HTC Sense 5 UI on it so that everything went back to when I took it out of the box? If there's a way to do it via TWRP which I have installed, I would love to know how.

i dont think you can flash that type of file. download a rom that is in zip format then flash it or you might be able to use all in one toolkit to push the file u you have to the phone.
but i recommend getting a zip file that is proven to work for you device

im not sure but i dont think you can flash those. i think you may have to use adb and push the rom to the phone
I am a newbie trying to root htc one(att) , after I installed the 4.2.2 it began to keep restarting,I tought it was because I didn't wipe my data before I flash a new ROM, so i enter the TWRP and wanna wipe data and try again.
But I selected all the options and wiped everything on the cellphone including the OS, so now I can enter the bootloader, and I can enter the recovery, but I can't find the "USB storage" in the computer , so how can I transfer the rom to the storage and flash again?
Thank you very much

You know what ADB and Fastboot are I assume? if not, I'll explain more.
But you have to do the following:
- download a rom of your choice on your pc (or use one you already have on there)
- put it in your ADB folder (for example for me C:\Users\Thom\Downloads\One\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20130219\sdk\platform-tools)
- then open a command window in that folder (shift+right click on the folder, or in a cmd window use the cd command)
- use the command "adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ROM.zip" replacing ROM with the EXACT name of the ROM file and including the .zip piece on both ends. This may take a minute or two...or four, but you will see a message in Command Prompt saying something like <12345678kb to 1234567kb>. That is just telling you that the file was pushed properly.
Hi, thank you for the help. I followed your guide and successfully transfer the zip into the phone. But when I enter the recovery and try to install, it failed and says:
E: unable to mount /cache
E: unable to mount /data
E: unable to mount /system
E: unable to mount internal storage
I click the mount option in the recovery , there are 4 box (cache, data,system,USB-OTG), but I can't choose any of them.
Also at the bottom of the box it says that"Storage: Internal Storage (0MB)"

ok, I'll try to help.
I had the exact same problem yesterday (I was being a bit dumb and accidently pressed the wrong button ) and I managed to solve it.
Okay, here is the RUU. Download it, it may take a while.
http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1847-ruu-m7-ul-jb-50-cingular-12650212exe/
So while it's downloading, start with preparing.
First of all, did you flash the new firmware already? If so, go back to the old one. I'm not sure if the AT&T has same firmware as the international, if it does I can give you a link because I still have it on my pc.
You can flash it with "fastboot oem rebootRUU" (case sensitive!)
then when you see a htc logo on your phone "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" (replace firmware with actual file name)
THEN FLASH IT AGAIN, OTHERWISE IT WON'T WORK AND YOU'LL BE BRICKED
then if it says succesful, use "fastboot reboot". Then go back into bootloader.
then, flash stock recovery (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2158763)
after that, relock your device (command is "fastboot oem relock")
so after the RUU finished downloading, try to run it.
Any problems, I'll keep an eye on this thread
Thank you . I am now at the htc grey logo status.
Since I dont know what firmware is I am afraid to take the next step.
Whats the firmware you've talked about? Is it OS? like 4.2.2 OS zip file?

No, the firmware package for the HBoot, Radio, etc.
I assume you didn't flash it when going to 4.2.2?
Or did you take the official 4.2.2 update before?
No, I didn't flah firmware when going to 4.2.2.
When my phone is good, all I did is I just copied the 4.2.2 to the phone and install in the recovery status.
Then the 4.2.2 keeps restarting and then I deleted everything on the phone .

okay, I have been browsing a while, but I unfortunately have no idea which one you could use.
HOWEVER,
I did see someone say you don't need stock recovery. So, try to just relock it and then flash the RUU.
You can always unlock it again if it doesn't work, so there isn't much of a risk

the problem here isn't the firmware he flashed the 4.2.2 rom, which uses the storage a bit different.
The problem he has is caused by the fact he didn't clear SD directly after flashing (needed if you jump from custom rom 4.1.2 to 4.2.2)
it could have been easy, but he can't boot into his rom, everything is gone. If he could boot it would be waaaaaaay easier, would only require a few ADB commands
OK, now I run the RUU, the phone is in the grey htc status,.It says gonna take 10 mins, hope it will be fine :victory:

before you flash 4.2.2, take the official OTA

If you are using twrp, try "adb push file.zip /data/media/0"
Im not sure what you are trying to do, load a new recovery? You would do that from bootloader with "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

Hi an0ther,
I am running ARHD v22 with no problems. Then I try to install V30 in recovery mode - from zipfiles. After that, it only run a cicles in HTC boot logo and recovery mode. I start over again form 1st step to relock my HTC, flash recovery.img etc.
Now, my HTC only work with old recovery.img and ARHD v22. If i try 2 other recovery.img event with ARHD v22 is still not works.
I'm not sure exactly what is going on. We might have a language barrier here. You might have a corrupt Rom file. You said relock, not sure if you are talking about the bootloader which you don't need to do. Unless you are trying to flash stock ruu and you are s-on.

What if u flash with fastboot the pds partition? And what is exactly the error u get?
If that doesn't work just flash with rsd-lite (latest) and your firmware (latest) and recover it. From then on u can try again.

I assume you have a working adb and fastboot, otherwise u couldn't have installed the recovery.
Your firmware can be found under section E.
When you have downloaded your fimware (always 4.1.2). Extract it and flash the pds_signed or pds.bin. Something with pds.
This can be done by moving the pds* to the directory with the fastboot executable. Then boot into ap fastboot mode and check if your device is recognized by using "fastboot devices". If yes, do the following command to flash the pds partition "fastboot flash pds (pds-file)"
If it doesn't work, post the results. Not only that is says an error, but post the error string.

I looked a bit further into your problem, u may have this problem: this
So what we now are going to do is the following.
First can u enter recovery? and if i can, do u have a nandroid backup. If yes, restore it and just boot up the phone.
If u don't have the above. (all can be found with a bit of searching in the link in my signature)
1. Install RSD-Lite 6.1.x
2. Install the USB drivers for the phone
3. U already downloaded the right firmware (latest and the one from your region)
4. Boot in AP Fastboot and connect phone to USB port PC
5. In RSD-Lite u won't see your device. It doesn't have a system installed.
6. In RSD-Lite search in the above bar for the firmware zip file.
7. Click on flash or something. (there is a RSD-Lite tutorial in my signature in my post)

Are you sure you installed drivers? RSD Lite should show Fastboot smi S as connected.
If you have installed drivers, and nothing is being detected, then you might want to prepare for several hours of headaches and lots of swearing.
You might have a chance doing this:
You will need to flash a custom recovery. If you can get CWM or TWRP working, you might have a chance to flash a zip.
i.e.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Since your PDS is damaged, Omar's MotoJB ROM will probably not work, so you will need to flash a clean, stock ROM.
The only stock ROMs I've found (that can be flashed with custom recovery) are:
deodexed Retail Great Britain ICS ROM
odexed Retail Great Britain ICS ROM
Note that going back to ICS using this zip file will not brick your device (at least it didn't for my phone) unless you do it with RSD Lite.
But please don't hold me responsible if it makes things worse for you.
If you manage to flash this and it works, you can then try the PDS fix.
Good luck... :good:

give me the right access (i'm [email protected])
Sorry, forgot to set it to public, should be fixed now.
so now i have to flash the boot.img or what? i'm not really sure what to do with this zip
You need to flash custom recovery and then you can install a zip.
Here is a tutorial on how to use recovery, if you're unsure.
i can't make works neither cwm nor twrp

Dude. Did you even at least download the stock dump? Everything that's needed is in that zipped package. Don't go around asking where the bat file because everything's in there. I'm guessing that either you haven't seen what's inside the package, or you're just lazy enough to look for it.
Better yet, learn how to flash factory images manually so you don't have to ask where that stupid bat file is anymore.

Seem to me that some people in this forum have short fuses. Cool down and hold your horses tight. There's no need for unnecessary and inflammatory rhetorics.

First of all, I don't care about your opinion. Secondly, you had the choice to help him find the bat file, but instead criticized the way I post. I don't see the point in that.

Hi @kalvin, and a Happy new Year to you and all fellow followers of the 2nd gen android one devices. Mine is Cherry Mobile H220, I want to try going back from MM to the zip you posted. Would it be Lazy of me, if I asked you to supply the order of commands I need to get The Zip LUZ59M into the H220?. I have adb /fastboot prog running ok now(I think). In Device manager it shows that I have the necessary drivers installed, Android Composite ADB interface at top, and further down in list Portable Devices shows H220..Phone shows usb debugging connected and usb for file transfer(mtp), (in the dropdown notification list).,So, awaiting maybe a reply from you, Wish I had experimented with version 5.1.1 lollipop, before I accepted last OTA major update,,I,m a real newbie to android one devices, but have used MTK socs before with always success. The adb /fastboot thingy is a new adventure for me. I like this H220 device and dont want to ruin it,. Thank you for your time,, and to you @ vel-tins for answering my last post in another thread, The Xmas holiday period sort of held things up a bit, bending my elbow too much,LOL.....

@rho57, Thanks for answer friend, but my question was meant to be, What adb commands do I use in Minimal adb and fastboot, , Anyway I,ve managed to get Luz59m into the H220, but I seem to be stuck in a bootloop situation?, The 4 moving colours are there now, which suggests Android 5,1,1 is in the phone,Then says android is starting, then maybe 101 apps need optimizing, then back to the same colours rotateing, and back to optimizing apps, (said 82 second time), now optimizing again 101, , oh dear, need help now on what went wrong?. Any ideas?..Thanks.

@Vel-tins. I think your referring to my last post, no I did not, slipped up on thinking about recovery, but anyway my Cherry Mobile is now a IQ2II, running 5.1.1. LUZ59Q.lol, seems to be ok, its asking me to update to the latest MM, might go back to MM after I play about a bit with Lollipop. Thanks for answering.

@jsab20, No need to root H220 first, I imagine your already in MM 6.0.1 version, (mmb29k). I did not wish to root, because of losing OTA upgrades, Anyway, I failed at first attempt, probably by not going into recovery, and rebooting. I downloaded version IQII from another thread by mrdmacdonald, , done exactly as he recommended and then I had successfully downgraded to 5.1.1. (luz59I), As soon as it installed it downloaded 3 updates,(wifi on) then asked if I wanted The MM major upgrade., I refused that update, till I want to go back to it later,..Go to thread I-Mobile IQII OTA URLs,, post number #20...If you try those instructions and succeed, you will have your H220 looking like an IQII on first screen,..Hope this helps my friend, good luck.
