Hello !
I have Moto X Rogers and received bootloader unlock code, but I forgot the instructions from Motorola how it should be unlocked. So if anyone went through this procedure please remind me, on official moto site I can't access that information any more for some reason, thanks.

So I bought a Moto X through swappa in December. Up until now, I've been pretty happy with it stock, but now I'm looking to try some different ROMs. The problem is, the original owner previously unlocked and relocked the bootloader. Now when I try to unlock it, I'm being told I'm not eligible, because my account does not match the account my phone was originally activated on. Huh??? Does anyone have any idea what I can do at this point? Surely others have unlocked previously owned X's, right?
Email the original owner and ask for the unlock key.
Go into fastboot
fastboot OEM unlock
since the code has previously been put in, there should be no need for a code again

I guess I'll try doing that through swappa.

Tried that. Still locked though.
Email MotoX support. They are friendly and helpful usually. Some Chinese guy has unlock codes, that might help too

Hi
I'm thinking of buying an XT1050. But I haven't been able to find out whether the bootloader unlock is supported for that version of moto x. Can anyone confirm whether it's possible?

I still haven't gotten it though. So I can't check myself
You are not Vzw, Att or RW? So see the previous posts in the thread. You may be unlockable w/o the China ul.

Go general see China.
I realize that this thread is pretty old, but I just wanted to confirm I was able to use the Moto Unlock tool to unlock the bootloader on my Alltel XT1050. I am currently on the latest ACG update (161.44.31.ghost_row.ACG.en.US.) Follow the steps given by Moto here and you should get the unlock code.
Also, here is a simpler tool to use for ADB and fastboot (rather than downloading the entire Android SDK as Moto suggests.) When you want to use ADB/fastboot, open the command prompt and type
Code:
cd C:\adb
From there you can use the fastboot commands as per Moto Unlock instructions. Note that the $ sign is not necessary.
Hope this helps!

Hello
So I wanted to unlock the bootloader of my Moto G 2014 (Europe XT1068)
I've done all the steps from another thread here, but everytimes the Motorola website tells me that I am not eligible. Why not?
My code got no space and dont have the (bootloader) tag code it's a clean normal code by the way.
And also, is there a way of rooting my phone without unlocking the bootloader?

Before you close, explain this for the newbies. I have the same problem, the OEM Unlock option in developer mode deosn't work, so I flash the stock signed ROM and after this I be able to unlock.

Hi, sorry that this is old, but I've had my XT1900-5 for a few months and want to start rooting it finally. But I haven't bothered much because of the issue I've read about unlocking this bootloader. What signed ROM etc. ? Any help to get me started would be useful.
no complexity, just follow the instructions in moto website , copy the code properly(use the moto recommended tool for accuracy) & you are good to go,for twrp & root see the forum.
Help please
