Before I installed any RUU file do you think I need s-off.
I try to do s-off but it failed.
I through having bootloader relock and run RUU will set my phone for update.

Thank you, I´ll go right in there...with hope to survive the battle.. :victory:
It did not support my HBOOT 2.01.0001
Did you try the script and it failed or are you saying it doesn't support it based on the description? I've used the script on 2.01.0001 and downgraded many times.
If you ran it and it failed then post the text from the cmd window so people can see where the fail occured.

Please post the command window where you attempted to run the Downgrade script. Either the script didn't run successfully and modify the mainver to 2.00.0000 or you haven't run the suggested GB RUU to downgrade the HBOOT to 1.13.
Please read the instructions carefully. You also may want to look at this post for some suggestions about using the Downgrade script.

I can confirm that this works. I followed the guide to downgrade via an ruu. I then rooted using revolutionary....installed a custom recovery and then installed the black rose bootloader. I now run ice cold sandwich and am happy

How do I flash completely back to stock?

Although I enjoy most of what the HTC First has to offer, I think I would like to return it. So, I was wondering if anyone could instruct me on how to flash back to stock and if there was a way, remove the "Tampered" message in the bootloader?

I believe the All-In-One Toolkit in the Dev section has an option to relock the booloader.

No. I've tried Moonshine S-Off 4 times and I can't get it to work. I followed the directions so I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong.

Is there any way you could help me understand why Moonshine isn't working for me? I'm on 1.08, unlocked bootloader, rooted, and I have CWM (not sure if the custom recovery matters). I plug it in with the OEM Cable and USB Debugging on as instructed. However, when I run Moonshine, it goes as far as Test 3 and then it starts running through several rows of dots.
Edit: Scratch that. I figured out that all I needed to do was turn off my Firewall. So, now that I have S-Off, how do I go about flashing it back to the Stock ROM/Recovery?

As a followup to this, does anyone have a copy of the stock recovery? It looks like the OTA updates don't work with CWM.

Since you have s-off I don't know why you want a stock ROM/recovery. Either the v1.08 or v1.04 zips will install with CWM (not TRWP last I tried). http://www.androidruu.com/?developer=Myst

about kernel
Hey guys im new to the forum, i got this phone from ebay, its just what i need, btw i like dev so maybe thats why i picked a htc, well the thing is i installed jmz's kernel amazing stuff but i wanted to go back to stock kernel to try differents roms, im s-off with ub and using cwm, i tried to compile the kernel source (i use ubuntu 13.04) with no luck at all, it looks like its about the toolchains, but well is there a kernel that i can just install it with cwm as a zip?

To flash a custom rom, you need to unlock your device via htc-dev. I'll put a tutorial video link below.
If you already have the 4.2.2 update, don't worry about new firmware for now. Otherwise, you don't need S-OFF depending on your CID to flash the custom 4.2.2 rom and firmware.
To do a rom swap, you don't need new firmware unless it's a newer base which also got a firmware update from htc

So, turn off your phone and longpress power + vol- and when it reboot in bootloader read the hboot.
After reboot in android with the "reboot" line, for move the cursor you have to use the vol buttons

I think it's not needed, but I'm not 100% sure on this one.
I used 4.3 firmware on 4.2.2 before, but it was a custom pack (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2391611) so I'm not sure if the official one would work

Did you installed a custom recovery? I dont understand that part with your 4.3 ota, you should have downloaded and installed your ota update before unlcoking your bootloader
and wich thread are you using for the rooting guide?
please quote me id you want me to reply back
I did the unlock bootloader before I get OTA update.
I search on YouTube to unlock your bootloader and installed recover usually they reference from xda.

There is no need to relock. If you are still on your stock ROM, just reflash stock recovery and you are good to go.
