[Q] Phone Too Slow - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I am using the official firmware in my note GT-N7000 but recently it has become too slow. I am also not loaded with too many apps but still don't know where is the problem. It's 1 years old. Also i have tried Clean ROM apps for cache and other clearing programs. But nothing working. Can anyone advise?
Should i go for any custom ROM?

The BT bug is a known one, I'm not sure about the camera one and definitetly not the battery sucker one.
Boot into recovery and wipe data , cache & dalvik cahe.....
Flash ROM again and then see if the problem persists.
If it does, get Better Battery Stats (from the play store) and see if there are any battery draining apps/services running.
As for the speed problem, I've never run into it but a full-wipe should solve it ( full-wipe means wiping cache, dalvik cache and data )
Before flashing a rom read about it..
If want a ROM like Stock Jellybean I suggest you:
CaynogenMod10
OR
Paranoid Droid
If you want Galaxy Note's Official I suggest you
Ultimate_N7000_XXLSC_JBv5.1
OR
JB RocketROM

Some ROMs (including stock) are a little laggy for our tab. In my opinion, C-O-M's cm10.1 and addem123's cm9 or PA do a better job with lag. None are perfect, but that's the best we can do on this tab, for now, and these ROMs are being developed actively, so they will continue to improve.
Also, overclocking any of these ROMs will help.

And also when i put a new rom do i have to wipe dalvik cache also? Because i have recently place 2 roms all which i wiped dalvik cache is that why ii doesnt have wifi?
Cm 10.1 is jb. You should wipe cache and dalvik before you flash a ROM. Try flashin back to stock, then flash the cwm from com's thread, then make a backup, wipe, and flash the ROM and gapps.

Flashing between roms without wipe the data and cache

Hi all,
I am currently using CM10.2. I am happy with it, but I might need MHL for somehow. Can I flash back and fore between CM10.2 to Stock without wipe my cache and data and I get
1, stable enough to run on both ROM
2, Personal data still good(still keeping like whatsapp history, contact data etc)
I am not brave enough to test by myself, hope anyone can help. Thanks
Mike

You can try it but you will for sure get a bootloop, especially with stock and custom rom. This way you are maybe able to change between custom ROMs with same android version, but stock is older than CM 10.2.

What you mean of bootloop is that you can't even make the device running without wipe?? Hey man, If I have the guts to try I will not ask. Haha..=)
Thanks anyways..

That's what I meant the differences between android version are to big and especially if you have a stock and a custom rom. Too many files/file paths are different and your system will screw up. It will boot, show the LG logo and reboot. That's why every single custom rom thread has the wipe part in it's instructions.
Like I said you can try it but I see no chance. I did it once between two custom ROMs (both CM 10.1) and even that didn't work out good.
It booted but every single app and system itself force closed repeatedly.

All apps. I reflashed omni 4.4 1125 nightly and it works. But when I switched to Art unfortunately gallery stopped

Which gallery? from where?
Did you make a clean flash. Kitkat is very sensitive to that.?
Flash the ROM and latest gapps in recovery mode(don't reboot in between) then do the three wipes and reboot.
omni rom 4.4 for n7000
I flashed the omni rom 4.4 on my n7000 and it flashed perfectly...when my phone was up I had a few problems:
1. gallery isn't opening
2. camera isn't opening
3. my internal memory is not being detected at all
need some help cause this rom attracted me. its smooth and fast. if all the above mentioned things would work I'd stick to this rom

Hey there!
Did you do a clean install? Try doing a full wipe and reflashing(after taking backups, of course!)
Just for clarification, which gallery and camera are you talking about? The stock ones or Google ones?
And you sure you meant INTERNAL memory? Cuz most people seem to have that problem with external SD. In either case, take a full backup, go to your recovery and format the problematic partition into ext4(this will delete EVERYTHING on the SD card!)

[Q] Which ROM choose?

What it is the most stable and for daily use rom?
Preferably with long battery life
CM11 preferably
I've tried many Droid 4 ROMS (LiquidSmooth, CM10, D4HD, SlimKAT, Resurrections...) but Carbon is absolutely the most (well, almost) stable ROM
Best thing about Carbon ROM is that it offers Permission Management function, which is extinct in other ROMs since CM 7.2

Check it out. I don't think you can find Carbon ROM anywhere else. Other links are either inactive or dead.
I attached some photos just in case you are interested
Hi I installed the rom on my droid 4 in rom slo1. It's starts booting but I only see the carbon bot screen and nothing happens after 5min...What did I wrong?
Make sure you do the wipe data/ factory reset.
P/S: Last time I flashed Carbon ROM, I needed to install gapps (gapps-jb-20130301-signed) as well. Without gapps, my rom could not work properly (I still don't know why?). Maybe you want to give it a go?
Hi I try both. I do a factory reset and also installed the gapps...same problem. I'm Using SafeTrap 3.75...can this be a problem?

Maybe. I'm not too sure . I'm running Safestrap 3.73.
So any idea, what I can do to solve the problem?
