Every time I try and flash Faux's kernel it fails. I have tried using both TWRP and CWM recoveries. I make sure that i clear the cache and dalvik. I am S-ON if that makes a difference.
Thanks!

Yeah...
You need to use fastboot to flash the boot.IMG...
If your zip doesn't have a boot.img
You will need to:
Fastboot boot recovery
Flash the kernel...
Figure out where the boot.img is stored on your sdcard
Then fastboot that...

I Installed Blackrose now if I want to install a rom i can, but when i wanna reboot it reboots to the recovery!
Same answer: overwrite it with revolutionary hboot.

Change the title of this thread, its untrue and misleading.
but how to overwrite with revolutionary hboot?
If you're still stuck in your recovery loop, try this :
Wipe/ factory data reset
wipe all partitions ( except SD card )
reflash whatever rom you want
AND BAM! Fixed your damn phone hehehe

What rom are you using? (did you do a full wipe?)
maybe it's the problem of the rom
Wipe cache worked for me

Jup, most of the time it's just the dalvik or cache partition with bootloops.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
adb remount
adb shell rm -rf /system/sd/dalvik-cache
adb reboot bootloader
-> First go to fastboot mode into the bootloader
Code:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
How did you flashed blacrose, via P32IMG or adb? I tried via P32IMG, but it didn't worked, so my method is: make nandroid backup, flash hboot using this, then boot into recovery, make full wipe, then restore previous backup. Worked like charm 2 times.

I am new to this so i know I'm probably just doing something stupid. I searched the other forums but i couldn't find what i needed for my phone.
The WiFi on my phone wouldn't work and i read that flashing a new ROM onto the phone could fix that problem. I rooted the phone and tried to flash a ROM. The first ROM i downloaded didnt have a boot.img. So i flashed the entire zip file. I did a factory reset on CWM recovery because i was in a bootoop and now i try to install another ROM it wont work.
I also wiped the cache partition, formated the /cache, /data, and /system following this fourm. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926754
The ROM still didnt work properly. Help plz???
Unzip rom, take boot.img out of it, and fastboot flash boot.img should get you ready to roll.

it just goes to a black screen on startup. would this be because the ROM isnt finished/working?
When you reboot it just goes to black screen? If I was u just relock the bootloader, and flash stock ruu, than unlock it again, install twrp, flash rom, flash boot.img, wipe cache and dalvik, reflash boot.img, and reboot and you're good to go!

I hate when people fail to mention to obvious noobs that they need a stock recovery to run the RUU. I found that out the hard way when I decided to attempt it because I got tired of being stuck in a bootloop.
so i was reading the instructions for the ARHD 10.1 rom and there was one part that was bugging me, the part that said you need the firmware package but it also says(recommended but not needed for now), but i went ahead and flashed it. it also said "There is no need to flash latest hboot!". so to be safe i backup everything. now after i flashed the rom everything was running smoothly but then i decided to go back into recovery. when i reboot into recovery, the screen said entering recovery then it went it cwm touch and then it existed then boot back to the htc start-up screen. this happens every time i flash something. but this time its different. i usually flah the twrp recovery then flash back the cwm recovery and it is fixed but it seems that since my phone is running 4.2.2 its not working..please help. i was thinking of using fastboot to flash the recovery 2.17.401.1..... please help

Hi, its 11:30 and i give up!
ok i first installed cwm using the kernel, and falshed SuperSU and than wiped data and cache and dalvik and flashed resRemix so i can reboot again and flash cwm, the problem is when i flash reRemix it goes to rom but also replaces the recovery with cyanogenmod one which doens't have any flashh zip and if i re flash the kernel with fastboot it will get stuck in sony logo reboot !
if i install both without booting to rom first it will reboot in middle of setup(first time setup name etc always at activating cellular)
this time i don't know what happened but it also freezed and rebooted on the bare-rom, but it worked before that (i assume i was tired and did something wrong)
what should i do?!

Boot.img is the kernel, you have to flashing him because the latest version of this rom is for unlocked bootloader

First of all i have functioning phone on any rom
than i flash doomkernel or williams kernel
in these two kernels there are integrated all 3 recoverys cwm twrp philz
i boot the phone to any recovery i like (i preffer cwm)
in recovery i wipe data, cache, system, and internal memory because i have zips on sd card
flash the rom
if in the tutorial of rom is to flash gapps after first boot i just boot the phone to new rom
then i power off the device and flash doomkernel/williamskernel
after that ,i flash from recovery of these kernels the gapps
after flash of gapps is complete i power off the device and flash original kernel from rom i have
