Hopefully it fixes the horrendous camera speed.
christianpost is full of click bait articles that have no basis in reality. They literally have daily stories going back a few months saying the nexus 10 (2013 edition) has been confirmed for release on a specific date (which changes every time it passes).
not saying 4.4.1 is not coming definitively, just saying that news source is worthless.

Agreed. christianpost and ibtimes are the two biggest google news spammers I've seen. I wish google news had a way to filter out specific sites. Again, 4.4.1 might be coming (and probably is). But I usually disregard both of the above sites as well as any other news site that quotes one of them as sources.
if there was an update coming, we'd see it on a more major site like android central, android police, droid life or even engadget... not to mention any posts from anyone in the know on G+
just my thoughts.
While I do agree with you all there is one thing that makes me think this is true. LLabTooFeR is very accurate when it comes to releases and if he stated it was coming to the HTC One soon then the nexus would get it first. He is a very reputable and accurate informer when it comes to updates.

4.4.1 will likely be released in the future. "Soon" might be a few mibutes, hours, days, weeks, or months.

Agreed, Football is generally right on when it comes to timing of releases for HTC devices. Did he say when 4.4.1 was coming or did he just say soon?
It doesn't take a genius to know 4.4.1 is going to be released for the N5 at some point. Nothing any news site so far has posted has any real inside info as to the date. So we will just have to wait and see.
LLabTooFeR
Is the man now behind the leaks. I was in the HTC One threads for months and he was the first at it. Football has semi retired from that.. I see LLabTooFeR putting them up now.

Related
Today Asus's Facebook page announced the exciting news that they just released a firmware upgrade to the popular Nexus 7 tablet, which they hope will fix common issues like "screen-lift" and dead pixels.
"要解决这个问题,我们感到非常兴奋," the Facebook page said. "我们发现的代码中的错误导致屏幕解除。"
The update will also fix other issues, including blown-out speakers, screen-streaks, and missing screws.
According to Asus, the screen-lift issue was due to a missing semicolon in the code. "这是一个非常尴尬的错误。," the Facebook page reads.
Hopefully this will appease the growing Nexus 7 fanbase, which has been upset by the many issues they have faced.
The multi-billion-dollar company also has another firmware update in the works. Sources predict that it will add more RAM to the device to compete with other high-end tablets.
Check back later for more information.
EDIT: we have confirmation coming in from XDA users.
"This is a super clever fix," slack04 explained. "It's just what we've been waiting for. Now will you give me a moment? I've lost my sense of humor and can't seem to find it."
"No thanks," said user jcjr81. "I'll pass on this update until others prove it works. What if it causes the screen to shrink, or something?"
Some are afraid Asus's fix could make the problem worse, as seen in the infamous Dell Inspiron case of 2008, in which a firmware update to stop batteries from exploding was successful, apart from the fact that the batteries began imploding instead.

I know I saw something about how an Android 4.2.2 was supposedly seen in India or China or somewhere far from the US and all sorts of speculation arose. Now nada. All for nothing I assume. Is there any real information out there about a bug fixe release date?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Xparent Purple Tapatalk 2
Nope, haven't heard anything more on the subject either... no idea if we'll still get it or if we will get a more recent update (maybe even the fabled 5.0 Key Lime Pie).
Before the big G announces something though, everything else is pure speculation... for the time being.
I hear 4.2.2 will ship on the next wave of Nexus 4's, due in March.

Just because an update might be rolling out for one particular device it doesn't necessarily mean all the Nexus hardware will be getting said update, so keep that in mind.
I haven't seen any mention of 4.2.2 recently, guess it'll happen soon enough (unless some people are trolling Reddit which is pretty common these days as the site gets more popular every minute).

Nexus one wasn't really for cusumer use, more of a dev phone. Just fanboys build up non-sense hype.
Top much competition in the OS market.but google is safe from its rivals because of its service. But because now more companies want to have the similar services. These upcoming OS are a good platform to furnish with those services.

I heard Sony too, which did put me off the Nexus 4 a bit, Sony > LG in my experiences.
i doubt there will be a new device launched at IO they only just launched and sorted out their supply issues of N10 and N4. i reckon they will give out white versions of the N4 at IO like shown in the leaked photos, and MAYBE the nexus 7 refresh will appear; releasing a new phone now will kill sales of the N4 and it wont happen nexus 5 or w/e it will be will be seen around sept/nov like every previous phone.
How do we know it will be called key lime pie? It seems to me that we're now on beans, so I think they'll call it "kidney bean", and then after that, "lima bean."
Neither kidney or lima beans are desserts.

Don't think it's anything to freak out about. It's just a leaked ROM which means it most likely already exists for the N4 it just hasn't been leaked. When the GPE phones get an official update before us then we can lose our s***. That won't ever happen though.

Most likely few people outside of Google have the Nexus 4 4.3 version. That is probably why you rarely see leaks with Nexus devices. Probably there are quite a few people outside of Google testing 4.3 on the GE phones. So it makes sense there was a leak. It sounds like 4.3 is going to hit soon anyways.
It will come when it comes. If 4.3 is almost ready for the sgs4 and the one it is probably ready to go for the nexus line as well.
Its not like we are hurting for good ROMs and kernels for this phone and need 4.3 to make are phones usable.

Ok, seeing what are people thinking about this LEAK made me think, what the f**k people actually want?! If some other phone gets untested, or not tested enough firmware, other peoole are angry... If their phone gets newer android version quicker JUST BECAUSE it is version not tested enough, people are *****ing about bugs lags etc. No offence to anyone directly, but for everyone that says "how could have sgs4 got 4.3 quicker", next time you get a buggy update, please just STFU just my 2 cents

I think 1 or maybe even 2 people here wouldn't mind testing.

Exactly, 1 or 2. Some of people would also rely on developers and just wait for them to fix bugs in stock rom, but imagine that untested or not tested enough build is released today for nexus 4, we all know how many stupid threads about "how google could release builds like this" woukd be created so people have to decide, if they want android quicker, or more bugless
