Hi,
Does anyone have a FTF file for polish firmware from PLAY network, or can create one?
I had to reflash with UK unbranded firmware after testing TWRP for locked bootloaders, and I would like to return to my original firmware.
You can use this quide to create FTF: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2188129
Help would be very appreciated.
Have you tried connecting to sony update service. You should be able to create it yourself if your bootloader is locked.
As far as I know. Update service will just reflash your device with correct firmware.

You could have downloaded it via the PCC by now instead of waiting for somebody else to download, package and upload it for you.
Or is your time somehow more valuable than everyone else's?

Hi guys
I updated my Xperia Z C6603 to JellyBeam 4.3 via OTA aaaaaaaand I lost my root. So now I want to have root again, and as you told me I have to go back to 4.2.2, then root again and update to 4.3 with flashtool.
So, could anybody help me with that? What exactly I have to do?
Thanks

Download ftf,
Put it in the flashtool/firmware folder,
Start flashtool,
Click on symbol left at the top,
Choose flashmode,
Choose the ftf you wanna flash,
Wait for a window to pop up,
Then connect phone in flashmode and wait till flashing is finished.

Don't forget to also download the drivers which you can do easily with windows. Go to C:/FlashTool/drivers and click the icon. Otherwise you won't be able to enter flash mode if you haven't put the drivers in the folders too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45464122&postcount=3

Can you unlock your bootloader? If so, then you could easily root. If you can i suggest you to unlock it.
If not, you must downgrade and get a pre-rooted firmware.

Bravia engine just oversaturates colors and make them look like amoled. No offense but if this is the only reason you should unlock.
Also bravia enginr still works for videos.

To downgrade using flashtool you don't need a custom recovery/root

downgrade xperia z
i want to downgrade my xperia z C6602 to jelly bean from lollipop .. what should i do ? should i unlock the bootloader at first or no ?
who knows where is a proper download-link for Android Kitkat 4.4.2 (xperia Z) as *.ftf-file ?!
The thing is that I already followed such links and only got either 4.1.2 (named as kitkat) or 4.2.2 (named as kitkat too) ...
... so where is a proper link ? thx very much - FlashTool is already on my machine ...
FTF files are packages of official software. 4.4 is not released by Sony yet.

ah hm. have overseen that friend of mine has flashed 4.4.2 - ... but it was Samsung or else different device than Sony.
But FlashTool has feature to convert files ?! Can I somehow convert an Android 4.4.2 package to *.ftf (if not with FlashTool - then
with else tool ... ) ?! This looks humblesome, because it is easier then to flash CM or Omnirom with an appropriate app ...
No. Official software only.
I'm not sure of the details, but I assume as Flashtool uses the same method as official Sony tools to flash, it will probably only flash software signed by Sony.

Appropriate APP? You just flash the. ZIP in the recovery.

When you flash these Odin packages it will completely wipe your phone, so make sure to backup anything you want to save. Other than that, nothing bad will happen. Some packages are optimized for different regions/carriers so most likely you'll get the best performance flashing the firmware that is meant for your region/carrier.
But must be for Germany? I live in Germany and I have Mobilkom-Debitel (aka Vodafone) carrier.
