Used nitrality to remove some system app and to install another you removed from your rc3 Rom ...
Edit: I think I manage not getting that error again...it seems that an option from a program caused it, some clean cache at boot...At least I ain't got it again after deactivated option and used nitrality again...

Hello friends!
I am presently running rooted Simplicity 2.2.1 on XXJVU with Semaphore 2.5.0bm kernel. After installing this ROM, I installed Titanium Backup Pro and then recovered all my backed up apps, data and settings. Everything was working fine until yesterday when I found that Titanium Backup Pro was gone. So after searching for it and finally unable to trace it, I tried installing it again, both from the apk file that I had in my SD card and from the market, but it failed everytime giving an error message saying "Out of Space: Titanium Backup could not be installed. Free up some space and try again"
This is strange because I have a hell lot of space available and still it is showing this error. I tried installing other softwares and there wasnt any problem with that. This message is flashed only when I try installing TB.
Can you guys please help me to come out of this situation because TB is a must have software for me?
Thank you.
Try looking at last few comment on below thread, they might help you.

Thanks. Had same problem and deleting file /data/app/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex:good:
For those of you who have used Lucky Patcher for Titanium Backup, removing the .odex will not solve the issue.
The solution is to remove the patch with Lucky Patcher:
In Lucky Patcher click on Titanium Backup > Open Menu of Patches > Remove ODEX with Changes!
If you have uninstalled the app before removing the patch, you will not be able to update it.
In this case just install the same version as before (this will work), then remove the patch and upgrade the app.
hope this helps

You are right, I removed the odex file but it still doesnt allow me to install the updated version as I had patched the previous version with lucky patcher. I followed all that you said but I am still not able to install an updated version. After uninstalling the older version, when I try to install the new version, it gives "Application not installed"... Now what?

which rom you are using
so I uninstalled it before trying the luckypatcher method. and I deleted some titanium folder that was empty. I rebooted and still not luck. I just kept trying to install and eventually it did it, after about 10 times.
I've been in this scenario heaps, different apps. almost like custom roms don't uninstall apps properly. I'm on omega note 2.
Even I also faced da same problem.. u have to wipe data/format n dalvic cache n restart da rom

Hey guys, I have a problem with installing apps on my LG (market and non-market ones).
It basically says when I install them that I have INSUFFICIENT STORAGE AVAILABLE (error); with non-market apps the same and that I need to remove some apps.
I have 6.43GB of Internal Memory left, and 19.6GB of External Memory. It's very strange because I CAN download some apps (even bigger than the one that I can't), but other ones got that error.
Have any ideas? Maybe someone with the same problem?
p.s. I have no ROM installed; I rooted it 2 months ago..

cuz lucky patcher is the issue actually, patches that it had done.
when it patches the app, it creates patched .odex, which you need to manually delete when you update/reinstall the app. i had the same issue, but unfortunately i lost track of the thread with the fix. if i find it again, i'll post it.
edit:
try this: "Troubleshooting->Remove fixes and backups (to update app)" in lucky patcher.
i manually removed these .odexes, but this should work too. good luck.
edit2:
found the manual solution: http://kacnje.blogspot.com/2012/10/android-error-insufficient-free-space.html
sretno!
Just launch Lucky Patcher, the program will delete those files automatically. It works for me.

****, you weren't supposed to delete all of them, just the one from the app that wasn't installing. you need those other .odex files for system to function properly ><. do you have any backup at all? if not, you'll probably need to flash kdz file again (good news is, i don't think you'll lose any of the data or settings).

Just search for it in the General section, I bet you will find what you need.
Shouldn't missing .odex files be rebuilt automatically on reboot? At least that's what's happening after a factory reset (which, amongst others, also deletes al .odex files), and after a wipe of the Dalvik cache (which does exactly that: delete all .odex files).
Being stuck at boot, as you write, try this:
Boot into recovery
Select to "Wipe Dalvik Cache"
Reboot
After the next boot, the entire Dalvik cache should be rebuilt. Of course this requires a custom recovery to be installed (stock recovery doesn't offer to "wipe dalvik cache"; here you had to do a factory-reset, which would also delete all your apps and data).
I used this method:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723&highlight=flash+kdz+files
so I updated my firmware and now have 4.1.2 JB and everything works fine :victory:
thanks for helping! :good::good:
I wish there were some such flashing tools available for the P880 on Linux. But as much as I've google'd around, I could not find anything. Anybody tried the toolkit available here on XDA for the P990? Can it be used for the P880 as well?
Hi there.
I would be very grateful if someone will help me solve my problem.
Well, after moving .apk to system/app (This time it was Google Wallet, but earlier I had the same with other apps) and data/app (tried both), it doesn't appear in the app drawer. What is more, It's not seen by Titanum Backup, nor the adb sees it as the installed package (adb shell, pm list packages) - no app on the list).
As I said, it works with every app - nothing appears after moving .apk to system directory manually.
Okay, wiping Dalvik-Cache and fixing the permissions may solve the problem, but I am afraid it may enable THIS screen appear on EVERY reboot (correct me if I am wrong).
Do you know any other solution? Or wiping dalvik-cache and fixing the permissions from recovery is the only proper one?
P.S. Can wiping dalvik-cache and fixing the permissions cause some problems, like it will delete the records in games or will have to configure the settings again?
use es File Explorer as you need to set the permissions, es automatically sets them correctly

Well, what I forgot to add, I of course set the permissions (644 as all system apps)... Is in that case only solution wiping dalvik-cache?
Will wiping dalvik cache delete my games records

I would suggest to wipe dalvik and the regular cache.
Any game data won't be touched (those aren't cache files correct me if I'm wrong)
If the problem persists tell us what rom etc. you're on and maybe do a full reinstall with backing up data before.

Are you using an apk from the stock rom on another rom? I'm asking this because I wanted LG Weather on CM 10.1 and I put it in system/app, rebooted and it didn't appear anywhere. The thing is that the stock rom is not deodexed and CM is. I had to use a tool to deodex the app and then put it in place, fix permissions and reboot.

You shouldn't need to wipe the dalvik cache, simply rebooting will appear that screen only for the apps that you manually put in system/app.

1. you dont move the apk. you copy it in system/app.
2. the game data is in data not in cache.
3. you dont need to wipe dalvic. a new app installed just creates a new file in dalvic

Well I fix thew permissions in file manager. I don't know how to make the apps install this way,
Even if you copy it to /system/app/ and set permissions, it won't be installed for sure. You'd better check logs to know what's happening.
