Hi! I am trying to recover via Kies, did the procedures dozen times but Always freezes and get error message. I am trying to get the original rom and install it via Odin but I can´t find it, the one I did was in hotfiles but it´s out by USA federal law. Question: can I use a T-mibile rom instead? I am using Tmobile anyway.
Thanks
As far as I know, there is no full Odin firmware package for the MJ5 as of yet, and we may not have one for a LONG time. We, proud owners of At&t Samsung Galaxy Note 3 who committed the ultimate SIN of attempting to downgrade to obtain root again with DeLaVega, are screwed for a while.
Sorry to hear you just joined our club..!

No. You shouldn't flash anything at this point, it may only worsen your situation. Best bet is to sit tight until someone finds the actual MJ5 Odin full firmware to restore your device. I haven't found any information on it yet, seems no one has.

I've been trying to install romsin my SGS3 4g, but whenever I try i get a status 7 error. I did a little investigation it turned out that status 7 ment that the rom or cwm didnt recognize my phone as compatible with the rom, so it aborted it, there was supposedly a way to "bypass" it, when i did i bricked my phone, really bricked, changed it and have another one. got the same errors, I am SURE that im using a rom compatible with my phone (was tring to instal paranoid android). my phone is the AT&T version (Im with Telcel in mexico, but they use the same model), anyone know or has encountered this problem?

i have a s3 mini phone that has a very new model (g730a) that looks like nobody else on the internet has. there are no threads on this entire forum about this model number, and i am trying to downgrade the stock firmware, 4.2.2, to a very old firmware, 2.2 (froyo), is there any way of doing this? (this phone was bought from an at&t store) how do people even downgrade? where do they get their downloads from?
if there is "no way" of me doing this easily by downloading something, how can i do it myself?
really need some help with this, thanks!

why would you want to downgrade?
i just think froyo looks cool, and i see it still functions with the play store and that. i've heard of cyanogen mod or whatever it's called yet don't know what it is nor how to use it. i am brand new to this android world. was told that this site had everything
Device was not here when froyo was so you will never be able to downgrade. It came with jb, so that's what you will have.

Try the "one-click-root" that someone posted in general. It might work. Then you can take a look on what's inside, and maybe have a recovery built.

You CAN install any android version that is older that you want, but it isn't created for the device. So somebody would need to develop drivers for it to work on the particular version of android.
Short answer: No you can't do it
Long answer: It can be done but a skilled person would need to develop drivers to make it work.
In this day and age creating drivers to downgrade from 4.1 to 2.2 it's not worth the time it takes.
Factory Unlocking
Has anyone successfully factory unlocked the S3 mini SM-G730 att. Or even paid for an unlock code?
I am only posting this !00% totally stock straight from Samsung ODIN flashable ROM because the download server is very slow and hopefully this will be faster for other people?

The file is ready for Download and I added more description to the OP.
To answer the question it is a 100% ODIN Full Stock Firmware. You will need to root and install recovery if you want root access.
I haven't installed this yet so I'm unsure of what root method works. I will post more info and I get it. OZOP 5.1.1 will follow soon as well!!
Can you make it flashable via TWRP, please?
As far as I know we do not have a root method yet. Chainfire was waiting until the official release to update auto root. Hopefully soon...
I'm at work and i'm trying to update this as painlessly and quickly as possibly. Can i simply use odin to flash this over my rooted s6? I'm not using a custom rom, just rooted with pingpongroot. I dont really care that i cant root again right away i just want to make sure i wont brick my phone by flashing this over stock rooted.
No root, and make sure people know they CANNOT downgrade to 5.0.2 after using this method.

The autoroot zip is from three months ago. I'm pretty sure that blog post contains a link to the original S6 root. I would advise against attempting to use it. There's a high possibility it'll result in a bootloop, or possibly a bricked phone.

Sorry for asking again but no one has directly answered me. is it safe to flash this over a rooted stock s6?
I built this ROM as a test for those who have locked bootloaders on the Tab S and can't get root.
In my experience Samsung bootloader locked devices will not allow a custom kernel or recovery to be installed. However it is possible that the bootloader will allow a modified rom to be installed.
The rom is bone stock Lollipop 5.0.2 except it is pre-rooted with SuperSU 2.49. It needs to be installed via ODIN. If ODIN allows it to flash then its highly likely it will boot just fine.
If there are any issues that arise then all that is required is to flash the stock firmware, available here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T707V/
T707VVRS1BOK1_preroot_system.img.tar
If anyone gives this a shot, please report with details.

If it works for the T707v then I'll do the same for the other Bootloader locked devices. It all depends on whether ODIN will flash it or not.
The reason I have used the T707v is because this device at least has the stock firmware available, so it should be relatively safe to try this.
Not many wanting a rooted t707v then.

Seems so, would have done it for the att and other Verizon model if it worked. Wouldn't want to test it out on an att model first with no stock firmware available.

I don't believe Odin allows modified system images to flash on bootloader-locked devices.

It's just that the S5 and Tab S are so similar in so many ways and were release at the same time on VZW, that I thought they'd have the same locks.

Exactly, if he'd have only took the time to at least let us know if it installed OK with odin. It seems like it did which means that he should also have had root.

Any old unlocked phones? DeviceManagement if so pm me about them. Im stuck on metro. Not sure for how much longer though. And I don't know why they insist on locking us out of OUR phones. It is a pain, such a pain. And the reason i even got this phone is to fix my service issues. However they are just as bad.
