Post questions to ask Google now that will bring up cards or talking results, or something cool like the "barrel roll" easter egg..
I'm sure we have all shown off things on our phones at one time or another. Currently I have been showing off Google now to people and looking for questions/commands to add to my collection.
There are the basic "what time is it in X place?" and the same for weather..
You can tell it to define a word and it will.
"Who is the cast of X?"
"Who directed X?"
"What is the running time of X?"
"What is the population of X?"
And of course math problems..
One thing I found on my own that I like to ask it is for medicine, such as "What is a Xanax?", and so on. Very educational.
Another is questions like when/how/where was/did X (famous person) born/died/went to school.
Here's a video of some basics, I'm sure allot of you have already seen it already:
I know the Nexus 7 guide (in Play Store) lists some questions you can ask, but what are other questions you might have stumbled on that it will respond to? All useful replies are appreciated!

I know there's one which will make all the text in your browser backwards. Can't think of it now though.
Sent from my coffee pot.
It's a website called elgoog (Google backwards)

Tilt is on iPhone Safari only right? It didn't work on my iPad Safari.
Couldn't find anything on Google Gravity.

Tilt works on Chrome so I would assume it works on any desktop browser.

I think you just type the word gravity in the search bar? I could be wrong about that...the page should fall off your monitor.

I'm on my phone right now, or else I'd be trying this crap.

I got the "tilt" and "gravity" to work on desktop. Very cool. Gravity does require the "I'm feeling lucky" button.
Does anybody have any suggestions for Google Now? Something that will trigger a card or at least a voice result? That's what I'm really looking for.

I've found most direct questions trigger a card type of result, with regular Google results below. The 2 examples I saw earlier were "how old is Barack Obama" and "How tall is Justin Bieber". Just direct specific questions.

Nice! I didn't think of the "how tall" question. That's exactly the type of thing I'm looking for.. More questions like this.:good:
I think I've asked it 17 times how Abraham Lincoln died and where Barack Obama went to school lol. People always give me the reaction face.
For any Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans if you Google "answer to life the universe and everything" the answer is pretty familiar.

I saw him ask this in the video I embedded in the OP but had no idea what the hell it was talking about, lol. Thanks for the heads up.
Nothing to do with Google now, but Google "where is chuck norris" and hit I'm feeling lucky.

I've always felt like Google should do something for if someone looks for ask jeeves. Like saying "he dead" or something.

Google won't search for Chuck Norris because it knows you don't find Chuck Norris, he finds you.
Your search - Chuck Norris - did not match any documents.
Suggestions:
Run, before he finds you.
Try a different person.
Try someone less dangerous.

Is it possible to have the X respond to something other than Okay Google Now? Or would that require a custom app?
i wish... i'd rather say "hey phone" or something. i find "ok google now" too awkward
I tried something else in the launch phrase and it wouldn't let me use anything else.

Agreed. I remember when first hearing about it, someone reported it was going to be "Okay Moto" which I would have been okay with.
I discovered phrases that rhyme with google now work, ok frugal cow for example

That's the point. You don't want words that will come up in conversation together or similar phonetic words.

Haven't seen this anywhere but I thought I'd start a thread listing the Google Now easter eggs people come across. I don't know how long these have been around but here are the ones I've tried so far:
Instead of "OK Google" you can use "Hey Google", "OK Computer", "OK Jarvis", "OK Glass" (thanks to @manpildo) or "Listen Google" (thanks to @gd6noob).
saying "Make me a sandwich" - responds "What? Make it yourself" or "Poof, you're a sandwich" (thanks to @Dani897)
saying "Sudo/Sudu, make me a sandwich" - responds "OK" (thanks to @mempf & @Dani897)
saying "Beam me up Scotty" - responds "I cannot do it captain, I don't have the power" (in a terrible Scottish accent)
asking "When am I?" - responds "The present, of course. Tardis functionality is still under development, sorry."
asking "How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?" - responds "A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could if a woodchuck could chuck wood."
asking "What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?" - responds - "Did you mean airspeed velocity of African/European unladen swallow?" (thanks to @Matt1408)
asking "Who are you?" - responds "Searching for oneself can take a lifetime, but a good place to start is classic rock." (thanks to @Matt1408 & @EmperorX)
asking "What is the nature of the universe?" - responds "The universe is a spheroid, 705 meters in diameter" (thanks to @RacerX780)
asking "What is your favourite colour?" - responds "It's hard to pick just one." (thanks to @ggreenwood334)
asking "What is the answer to life, the universe and everything?" - responds - "The answer to life, the universe and everything is 42." (thanks to @akash3656 & @corythug)
saying "Do a barrel roll" - makes the search results page roll like on web.
saying "Askew or "Tilt" - gives you a tilted search results page like on web. (thanks to @FirmShark & @Dizzi800)
If I'm missing any please inform so I can add them

wonder if it responds to "HAL"
edit: i have android 4.2 (my nexus is in transit, can't wait) and i think the make ma a sandwhich answer is better. i asked it and it's repsonce was "pffft you're a sandwhich"
edit 2: doesn't look like the op is updating the original post..
a few more that appear later burried in the thread are
"lions and tigers and bears?" - "oh my!"
"how can entropy be reversed?" - "insufficient data for meaningful answer."
"up up down down left right left right" - "cheat mode unlocked! unlimited free google searches!"
(in engilsh uk language) "tea, earl greay, hot." - "sorry, this is not a replicator. support for the hyper text coffee pot protocol is still in beta."
"what is the best smart phone?" - "you will have to decide for your self" or "no one phone is right for everyone"
most others are either the normal features of google now, or a random coincidence. i don't know what the algorith is for guessing the words you say but if everything is clear the search will open on the "g" of google. so any "g" word will work in place of google. many words that start with c or k or j such as computer or K.I.T.T. (like night rider) or jarvis may also work intermitently because depending on the speaker they can osund similar to a g but i don't believe it's ever an easter egg but more an ironic coincidence.
Nice! Didn't know about any of these, the make me a sandwich comeback is pretty hilarious. Wonder how much more there are that haven't been discovered yet.
Saying askew works like on google through a browser.
Another response for 'make me a sandwich' is "OK, you are a sandwich".
These are out course, not unique to the n5.

It doesn't respond to how you would normally pronounce Jarvis in English, but it does if you pronounce it "Yarvis" - though inconsistently, at least for me.
'Tilt' will make the results page slightly tilted
I'm not sure if this would be considered one or not...
What is the nature of the universe?

saying "Sudo make me a sandwich" - responds "Ok"

What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything.

Someone already said that one I just saw, oops

And so the coolness comes to a sad, sad end.
After glorious months of being the coolest kid on my block - shouting Hey Google make a call! or Hey Google set a reminder! and even the glorious Hey Google show me pics of yellow cats! My cool card has been cruelly cancelled. Yes it's true, sometime over the past week or so Google has tightened up the latitude it allows for for voice commands & now I'm forced (yes, forced!) into the nerdy geekishness of calling out the official "Okay Google!" This is a sad state of affairs for those of us who cling desperately to our cool cred.
Don't read this and think I've accepted defeat; at least when I say Okay Google I do it ironically!
I said "hey Google, make a call" and it worked... It asked me to pick a contact. Idk why yours isn't.

Hmmm...
So I'm being punished for something...or it hasn't caught up to you yet.
Until last week I only ever said Hey Google, but now in response it just sits there dead, limp, lifeless, taunting me with it's silence. That extra syllable is just killing me.

open mic+ allows you to set a custom hotword as they like to call it so you can say whatever you like then its on the play store, hope that helps if not ill get my coat.
I believe "hey" was removed from the trigger words last update RIP

it still works for me no problem, voice recognitions abit off but good enough
Its probably just the more it hears you the more it learns your voice and can distinguish

They could really mess up your cool cred if they wanted too. You could have to say I love you Google, please help me for every command.
That would be funny.

For fun, I used to say "tolchay toodle" and it worked. Was looking for a more ridiculous thing to say other than "Ok Google."
I can say "ok g"
or I can say "f-u google" in spanish, and google now pops up.
There have been plenty of other things that cause it to come up, even when google was not used.
You can be a hipster and say "okay noodles"

What has happened to this forum? What is the point of this thread? My brain hurts...
Has anyone had bizarre experiences with S-Voice?
What was the funniest moment or comment S-Voice gave to you upon your command?
S-Voice is the first thing to be disabled the moment I got my Note 4... So nope. Sorry.

I only use it to wake my phone, then Google now kicks in. Sorry, not told it to do anything.
Ask her " how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood". I was drinking with my brother inlaw when we did. We were laghing all night.
I told her to f##k off once and she's said "Call me when you need me" ha ha...
Then i asked her to perform felatio on me. She's replied, "luckily I don't have a mouth"
ask S-Voice "What does the fox say?"
Sent from my SM-N910C
I tried S-voice for a while. Asked it to do stuff with it either always wanting to Google the answer (like "call [someone]") or it just not doing things right.
I eventually just said "you suck"
It replied with "that is not one of my functions"
Then my messed up mind thought, "Hmmmm, maybe in the Note 5...."
"The next big thing is here," Samsung keeps saying. Let's see this feature!
(Oh gawd, I'm going to get banned for this LMAO... please don't mods....)
