I connected my I9295 to my computer today and saw there is a new update:
PDA:MJ2 / PHONE:MJ2 / CSC:MJ1 (ILO)
Does anyone received that update and knows what it contains ?

**Last time I connected the phone to Kies was about 2 weeks ago, and there was no new update**
Haven't confirm the update yet.
Any ideas what it is? KitKat?

So I updated the device to the new firmware. Now it's still 4.2.2 and can't see any difference. Well, maybe Samsung put some unnoticed changes into it.
I managed to put my hand on the firmware md5 file. (2.08 GB!!!) I can upload it if someone wants, just let me know.
Will update if see any changes.

I'm from Israel and my career name is Cellcom, but I'm afraid it doesn't matter because I purchased the device direcly from the official Samsung store (so its int version).

I am, have tried many updates to get onto the later b360 and b361 but cant get any to work ..... sad times
hello from peru, hope someone can help me, I have version L09C432B182, but when I try to use hicare app to get nougat update it says no updates available, same for emui updater, if this is supposed to be official why is that I always get no updates available

Updates roll out in pieces. Only certain parts of the world will get them first, then the next, and so on.
We only just got the official update here in the UK, other parts of Europe have had it for a couple of weeks.
It will eventually be available to you sometime!

In the same boat, havent taken part in Beta program and I am stuck on 182 still.
Btw , 182 was a forced updated by downloading it from the Warehouse firmware thread here , i was stuck on B166 otherwise.
My phone is not even tied to any carier. Arrgh!!!

I got it via the Update app, but I was on beta.

Seems to be only minor visible changes. No new options I can see.
One thing that did change was that I can use EE's WiFi calling, which wasn't available before on the beta. This was activated automatically by EE via a text.
Camera, WiFi, network all seem same.
Will have to wait maybe a couple of days to see how the battery life is.

Just used the Update app on the phone.
Checked for new software, up popped the new software.

It just doesn't work, I downloaded the B182 ROM last night and installed it, no problems.
On Firmware Finder there are a couple of ROMS viz. B360, B361 and another B361, I've tried to download all 3 and flash them (using dload method) and have had NO success whatsoever with any of them.
I am now reverting to checking the update page in settings every hour or so!
BTW I've tried the dialler method too and that doesn't work neither
What's the huawei updater way?
Why is this phone such a piece of crap, differing version per region for what is the same software.

I am expecting delivery of my Tencent version soon. The seller from AliExpress confirmed that the device is with global rom from factory, i doubt his claim though
Appreciate it if someone could hightlight what needs to be checked to confirm if any modifications such as rom version, locking the bootloader etc would be required.
This will help to check if i need to change anything ir the rom provided is good to go...

Install device info hw from playstore, under system it should say ww for rom, product and fingerprint. If it does you can go ahead and update to latest version 1908

When you turn the phone on there will be a big sign that says bootloader unlocked. But I doubt it will be

Yep! All good to go... you can update to 1908 manually with that WW rom!!

Hmm, not sure. I went to 1907 first but that's because I wanted root and followed that guide. But, there's now a rooted 1908 so it would probably be fine to go straight to that version, rooted or not. Do have a read of the guides tho and following posts too

since ur finger print is no longer CN, then u can manually update directly from 1906 to 1908
Asus is warning on their forums about sellers selling modified tencent version with WorldWide ROM and that is not correct ROM it should have and Asus says any tencent versions with WW ROM is not official device by Asus and you should return device back to seller. Since warranty won't count and FOTA would probably not work.

I've bought phone yesterday, am impressed so far, but notification bar is a mess and Always on display is so useless and basic that i don't use it.

It's coming in March. The Realms Europe brand is weak AF and their software support page is still two updates behind.id keep an eye on Realme India support page as software is the same as Europe:
Though they are still pushing out latest OTAs in Europe.
By the way you can't get on beta as it is closed

Yep.What version you on.You should have already got OTA to the .08 update by now,even in Europe,
But yea,easiest way to flash it is just by downloading the ROM and using the stock file manager app and just selecting it

It's been a few months after buying the ROG 2 and I updated to Android 10. Now I've got another update but can't seem to download it regardless using mobile data or wifi. Is there something I should check before updating? Didn't have any issues upgrading to android 10 but the I'm stuck at the next update. Just keep getting the error " System Update failed. As I wrote in the post, I sent a mail to Asus, they asked for build number details and they said my phone has a "custom firmware" I installed (???? never done that) voiding warranty. So they'll fix it but as out of warranty.
In that post you can check the build infos I've right now. Are they the same as yours?

Yeah all the info is the same as yours but I've never rooted the phone. Heck the only update I did was updating from 9 to 10

Same problem, same versions of the system. Unfortunately I also contacted asus and they told me the same thing ... I hope they have not taken away the guarantee.
Do you guys have the Tencent version of the phone? If so, that could be the reason Asus says it's been modified. A lot of third party retailers will still the cheaper Tencent version with modified global ROM installed.

Pretty sure I'm not using the tencent version
Anyways found a possible fix
Download the zip file from the Asus page and manually update in your phone. It will fix the issue

I was chatting with Asus support and they directed me to the asus page to download the update and update manually in the phone. While I was updating the zip file I noticed the FOTA update running alongside of it and I was able to update it. Hope this works for you.

but since I insisted that I had not installed any custom firmware, they replied "the version you reported is not among the firmware files but in the Open Source section, this does not mean that you have installed an unofficial firmware" so no invalidation of the warranty.
Anyway ... the only firmware that was installed on my phone, was downloaded through FOTA ...

Could be due to the Android 10 update, prior to that everything was smooth sailing and issue free
