EVDO Problems

I have Damagecontrol V0.9999 installed and data network works great with me but when ever i flash any other rom it stops working and says that service is unavailable. It just starts for first minute when new ROM boots up and then nothing. Not even the icon comes on top
baseband is 2.41.05.02.03
software is 2.26.605.2
Any ideas guys..

I checked and found out that Version 2.1 works fine on my Phone but 2.1 Update 1 doesnt work. Which may have caused this problems. Any Suggestions..

Not sure I can help much. I'm not with sprint so I'm not real familiar with their settings. I'm Making the Assumption you are. If not let us know what carrier you are with.
Are you able to update your profile from settings >About Phone >Network >Update Profile?
Does the mobile network say connected or turning on in Settings >Wireless & Networks?
It could Be PRI related check it in Settings >About Phone >Software Information and report back with what version you have.
Get that info and note anything else the you think may be relevant ad we'll go from there.

I am with Reliance CDMA Network in India.
There is no Update Profile setting here >About Phone >Network >Update Profile
Does the mobile network say connected or turning on in Settings >Wireless & Networks?..It says Disconnected because service is unavailable. When i reboot my Device. The 3G ICON comes for a minute or 2 and goes away.
PRI Version is 1.70 in working and 1.70_003 in not working

It also could be an issue with flashing Sprint roms. You might try the bitter sweet Rom.

Do you know if it works in the few moments that comes up. I had reset my PRI and lost my EVDO but it would not work at all, the mobile network would just say turning on all the time and the phone would get hot.
I had to compare/correct settings in the EPST menu with another HERO from my carrier. To access the menu dial ##778# I think the password for edit mode is your MSL mine was 6 zeros yours may be the same. View Mode will not show the Security section info. The settings that finally did the trick for me are below

The HDR AN Auth User ID (LONG) may or may not start with evdo but from 2 carriers that I looked at they were similar. The small x's will be specific to you carrier. The capital Xs were my 10 digit phone number. Like I said best thing would be to do a side by side compare of yours and someone's that is working.
If all this compare and are all good I guess it is possible it could be hardware related. Good luck

But it works with Darkchoid and Damage Control V0.9999 but not other roms. Do these setting changes with ROMS

Mine did that. I put in airplane mode and back to normal and it restarted the data service and now it works

Try dialling *#*#4636#*#* and go into "Phone Info". Hit the menu button then "More". There should be an option there to enable data connection. Also, did you make sure that Sprint DSA is disabled?

I am having similar issue but I have no internet at all . Just got a replacement phone today from nTelos . Got home , created goldcard and ruu to sprint . Rooted the phone and now the Evdo is not working ? I can make calls and receive and all that , however, no internet ??
I went ahead flashed Fresh Toast v2.1 and matching radio but still nothing ?? Any ideas ??

[Q] Network control lock key issue

Hello everybody,
I know that threads regarding the "network control lock key" topic already exist on this forum, but please bear with me for a moment.
Basically, my problem is:
- I have a phone bought as "freeware" (as in, not bound to any phone service provider);
- I have a Vodafone prepaid SIM;
- I have an Orange internet USB Stick (it has a SIM inside of it);
So, what I'm trying to do is take out the Orange SIM (the one used for internet), and put it inside my phone to create a wireless hotspot. I know it works on other phones, but not on my S9001.
When I put the internet SIM in, it asks for a pin; after the pin, it asks for a network control lock key, and here is where I get stuck.
I've entered * 2767 * 3855 # in the dialer to reset the phone to factory settings, but it was to no avail.
Again, my problem concerning the "network control lock key" is not about the phone service (the phone is unlocked), but about the internet access.
To make it clearer, after the * # 7465625 #, the message i'm getting is as follows:
Network lock ON
Network subset lock OFF
SP lock OFF (service provider, aka phone service)
CP lock OFF
So I have to get rid of the network lock, not the service provider lock.
If anybody can help, please do
If rooting my phone will be involved, please add a link on how to do it, because i have no idea of how it's done.

Slot cycle index - ring lag?

On my Sprint Epic I could adjust the slot cycle to reduce the amount of time it took for the phone to start ringing for incoming calls. Is this possible with the Droid4? It takes about 3 rings on the other end before my phone rings.

The default slot cycle index for all VZW Motorola devices is 2. You need diagnostic mode serviceware like QPST, QXDM or RadioComm to change this setting in the NVM of the radio. It is not a simple procedure to do this if you are unfamiliar with the serviceware and diagnostic mode access.
How important is it to you?

I've modified this before in my other phones, but I can't seem get the Droid4 to come up in QPST.

Well, I took a closer look at this and you won't like the answer, unfortunately.
On LTE devices with SIM based authentication, this item is controlled and written by the SIM.
With no SIM installed the variable is not set and cannot be read or written to and when the SIM is installed it can be read and written but immediately reverts to 2 as is set in the SIM data base.
It appears you will have to live with the default network settings and ring delay.

How to change Network Mode of Second SIM Card

Hi OP3 Users,
I am unable to find a setting to change the Network Mode for sim 2 in the stock (non-rooted) 3.1.2 firmware. Is there any way to change that.
SIM 1 has that setting; namely "Preferred Network Type" (and has options "LTE Recommended / 3G / 2G")
Also, i tried using the *#*#4636#*#* code, but it shows nothing but "Testing" and has no options to choose in it.
Any ideas on how we can resolve this?

Solution unlock sim 1 for Note 4 china model N9109W !

Slot 1 uses unlock other telecommunications SIM card.
Simple method:
1, dialing keypad to enter "* # 0011 #", will enter ServiceMode interface (if no response, and then later on have responded)
2, click on the top right of the menu three points, click " Back ", then point the menu, choose" Key input ", enter a capital Q, point" OK ", and then point the menu, choose" Key input ", enter" 000000 or 0000, point "OK".

hey, the procedure worked very fine but am gonna need your help again please. You see what i did ; i was trying to redo the procedure again just to explore and eventually the sim 1 locked again, have tried to both the keys both "000000" and "0000" but the sim lock is still enabled. help me please
