Dialer stays in portrait when in car mode - Moto X Q&A

I'm not using the official dock for moto x but use CarHome to place phone in car mode. Whenever I use phone dialer while in car mode it only appears in portrait and does not show in landscape like previous phones. Same happens when moto assist is activated while driving. Any ideas?
Thanks.

DeskMode or DeskMode Lite app?

Is there a DeskMode or DeskMode Lite app that will enable desk mode triggering with an AOSP ROM so that the phone goes into desk mode when inserted into the multimedia charging cradle?

I don't think it's possible to activate any home dock automatically unless the dock has something built into it for when you connect it which idk exist yet for the Thunderbolt but I could be wrong about that. There are apps out there that can be used as a dock app you would have to open the app like you would with any other. But some has a feature that it automatically activates whenever its connected to a charger including the home dock.

Car Mode in Android - Spontaneous launch

I found a little issue in all ROM which I used before and also in ROM which I'm using now. I think that everyone know Car Mode which is a special navigation menu to the car in our phones. The icon of this app looks like the car wheel. I have a little problem with this application:
1. I'm using a WidgetLocker app but with default lockscreen I have this issue also.
2. This problem is happend when I want to unlock my device.
And finally what's the problem? This app will starts spontaneus. I don't know why and I can't explain. Where is the problem? And always when I press EXIT CAR MODE in this app, I have still a notification icon. Strange problem I think. I don't have any program which have this function.
Do you have a cover with a magnet in it?
Yes I have. This is the reason? Are you kidding me?
Magnet activates car home, it's how the official car dock functions.
I want to deactivate this

[Q] com.android.phone crashing

Hi,
I'm running Rocket V12 + CF-Root Kernel.
When placing the Note in the original car dock and trying to dial a number, the phone app crashes if the Note is in Lanscape position. When pressing the call button, the screen switches for a split second to portrait mode, then back to landscape and then crash. It is 100% consistent on my phone. In Portrait mode it doesnt happen at all. Also, when the phone isnt docked in the car dock, it's also working fine.
Anyone has any idea?
Thanks,

Change Default Orientation

Default side/horizontal orientation as we know for the Bionic is capacitive buttons on the right (when forced to use Bionic in horizontal mode).
As we know the Micro-USB and HDMI ports are on the bottom if you are in horizontal mode. Which makes it impossible to use a phone stand while charging.
How do we change the default horizontal orientation to have the buttons facing the left of the screen?
This has obviously been done either because engineers were dumb or intentionally to force us to use the the official Motorola dock.
Bump. No one?

[Q] 4.4 update messed up my phone

there's a problem with orentation suddenly on my phone after doing the verizon 4.4 update.unless it's a coincidence because I did drop my phone earlier today. Now when I take a photo the orientation is stuck in the vertical view. Also using the youtube app after I start playing a video when I put the phone sideways the video should automatically switch to full screen right? it doesn't do that anymore. When typing and i put the phone sideways the keyboard is stuck in vertical mode. But when i open google earth the phone correctly oriantates correctly no matter which way i hold the phone. When using chrome browser orientation is also now locked to vertical mode no matter how i flip phone. Help!
