Hello, there. I'll be teaching you how to create a boot animation from a GIF image, the process is way simple! We'll be using the app ROM Toolbox, it's avaliable in Google Play. Actually I use the pro version, so I can't tell if using the lite version the result will be the same.
What do you need:
- ROM Toolbox app (download it from Google Play or just the APK in attachement);
- GIF which will be transformed into boot animation;
Instructions
1. Put your desired GIF image in sdcard;
2. Open the ROM Toolbox app;
{

}
3. Slide the tabs untill you come in Interface tab and choose the Boot animations option;
4. Slide to Local and find your GIF image;
5. Select your desired GIF image;
6. Select the GIF to Boot Animation option;
7. Now choose the path to save the animation and press OK. You can also change the FPS and the filename;
8. Now you just have to install and enjoy!
This is nice thanks for the guide!

I have downloaded some boot animations in the rom toolbox. Is it already good for flashing? I don't see any META file
Go to main menu which is tools click on root browser classic then go back to boot animations which should have loaded the storage permissions and then it should load with the local but for me I'm stuck on the "failed to create the boot animation" part I'm just trying to create a boot animation from GIF
Great, old days I used photoshop to do that! Now this tool saves me maximum time

Here is a HTC Froyo Sense theme for the Huawei Ascend.
Must have root permissions
Version 0.5
Download: View attachment HTCFroyoAscend.zip (metamorph)
Make clock white after install:
After you reboot, open Root Explorer.
With root explorer, browse to /system/build.prop.
Long tap on build.prop and select Open in Text Editor.
Scroll down and find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02.
Save your changes and reboot.
Or simply download and replace the build.prop with the one that is attached to this thread.
Download: View attachment buildprop.zip
Does this theme run smooth? And with what launcher does it work with?
Sent from my M860 using XDA App
Yes, it runs the same its just a theme. It's not like a theme in windows. This just replaces stock images that is on the phone. Any launcher works.

Resore the Nand backup that you made right before installing this theme If you use ZipThemer to install themes instead of MetaMorph, it has a much less painful "undo" feature.
OP, I've attached an updated version of the theme that also installs build.prop into /system/. Note that in this updated version, everything is in the root of the zip file instead of inside the HTCFroyoAscend directory (required for compatibility with ZipThemer).
And that comment in the <useless> tag looks awfully familiar, just like the one I put in my HtcBlackStatusBar theme for the Eris
Ken
what nand back up????????
I actually used your xml file, was to lazy to recreate it since I was using your theme as a reference. Hope that's ok =] the rest I did =] thanks!
With the newly packed theme, It's strictly for cricKet users now. Ill repack one for MetroPCS users when I get home.

I accidently activated the theme using metamorph without making a back up. What can i do if i want to revert back?
Well I used metamorph to install the theme and it looks good...but my notification bar didn't change to black. Only black boxes around my 3G, signal, and battery. Did I do something wrong?
Sent from my M860 using XDA App
If the notifican bar has black around the icons on it the bar has changed to black,its not showing up because the buildprop file needs to be edited. Use root explorer and long press the buildprop file and open it in text editor,find hw_customizetype=01 and change it to hw_customizetype=02 save changes exit and reboot.
Thanks dude. Works great now. Looks awesome

About rom:
I decided to finish LiGux rom for GT540 and this is result of my work.
LiGux is rom with it's own UI. It's very nice. You can change color of text in menu/settings, background, statusbar color/transparency, lockscreen and some other. It has also splitted status bar to two bars: one with norifications and second with switches. The second one you can open by sliding it down starting from battery icon. I hope you will like it

ROM looks very nice but I would rather flash it for zip.
Size for system partition?
135mb should fit, but I recommend higher. Flashable zip will be uploaded but you will have to set everything up on your own
Thanks! Start testing!
Someone said that it stucks on SDSL logo, does it? Maybe file is damaged, I'll reupload then
For me working fine, restore with no problem.
Same here. Its working fine and feels smooth
Zip installer added in case of problems with CWM backup. Use only if it's necessary!

One of the nicest UI I ever seen..
Though I notice some unstablity in play store..sometimes download starts really long and sometimes it doesn't download at all..
And please do organize the setting..although it have cool structure..
Can you arrange it like:
System (instead o"f normal" ) ,CM setting ( instead of "cm" ), Personal, Others (instead of "common" )
And the battery, can you make it just vertically positioned..ill look better..
Looking forward for next build:beer:
How can I enable swap when I set up zip version? Not restore.
Thanks for reply
I really like this Rom. It has a lot of free Ram. so I can use Igo primo and other apps without a problem. Thank you for this great Rom.
Will there be some changes as far as the microphone, otherwise excellent system
I can't fix the microphone because I don't have aapt from LiGux team, I have to recompile Phone.apk
EDIT: DONT FLASH NOT WORKING!!

No. The files do changes to the /system/ which requires a custom recovery to flash. So you can flash it without root but you'd already have a unlocked bootloader and custom recovery anyways.

Not working here. Tried the black. I'll try another one now.
I have just updated the orange lockscreen
I have flashed the orange one and now i have no lockscreen.. ??
Can you make a new zip with original lockscreen?
Tnx
Edit: also home button has stopped working? What is going on to my one??
Same. Lost lockscreen when flashing the black one. Also home screen button stopped working.
To fix, go to link below and DL and flash. I use twrp. No wipe needed so skip step 2 and 3. It will not delete any data. I flashed supersu again just in case. Everything was back to normal.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=54232444
Hello yes black does not work at all home button no longer market and no code sim ask either.
Have you tested before put online?
Grey did not work for me either. As others stated: lost lock screen, no option for custom lock screen, home button stopped working, all widgets needed to be restored.
Glad I made a nandroid prior to flashing.

They worked on my Moto G but I got my one plus today so will try and fix tomorrow! Sorry
I looked inside the apk and found META-INF folder missing. Possibly why this isn't working?

Is this something the theme manager can't handle?
So just to clarify, none of the files are working? Shame if that's the case because I'd love the grey, or even the black one.
Thanks for sharing regardless.

Theme manager should be able to handle but would need to get them makers to incorporate it into existing themes
British graphic designer Christian Tailor created this animation of stylized Marvel and DC Comics heroes and villains, and now you can use it as the boot animation on your Android device.
Christian works as a motion Graphic Designer specializing in information graphics, and his current clients include Al Jazeera and UK-based TV network ITV.
Graphic designer and Android theme maker Brian Roberts took Christian’s animation and turned it into a boot animation, originally.
I have resized it for the Nexus 6 (Shamu)

Hey, this is my first post and I know almost nothing about development but I am pretty fluent in After Effects.
I had the AOSPA ROM installed for a day or two and was not really happy with it. Except for the Bootanimation
That's why I decided to make a custom Bootanimation for my 6P (it is 1440 x 403 /30fps) and I thought I might share it with you guys.
Here is a gif of the animation itself:

1. Download the Bootanimation.zip
2. Navigate to /system/media

1. Reboot into TWRP
2. Go to "Mount", Select "System" and go back
3. Select "Advanced" and "File Manager"

5. Navigate to /system/media and press the "paste" (bottom right) button
6. Select the pasted "bootanimation.zip" and choose "chmod"
7. Type in "0644" to set the permissions to "rw- r-- r--", swipe to confirm
