Are these going to be different than the actual nightlies from CM?
Does art work since its compiled with linaro?
Sent from my LG-G2 using Tapatalk
Anytime, you might not be familiar with me, I was big into the US Cellular Galaxy S4, doing tutorials, building Gummy & CM11, along with trouble shooting & fixing issues. Had a falling out with US Cellular, so here I am on a LG G2 from VZW =) I will never EVER BUY another Samsung after owning this phone =)
Thanks for this. I dirty flashed this 12/7 over the 11/26; everything runs well so far. Then went to Settings/About/Check for Update, lo and behold, there's 12/8.

Alright, I'll try it and see lol. I never really see a performance increase but a big battery boost, especially standby time.

Yes, it sure is.
sorry guys CM11 Nightlies went live just now =/
I switched to ART. It took about an hour to convert 260+ apps. Everything looks good, except couldn't access web, Facebook, or anything else. I removed the WiFi connection, reconnected, now super good. However, LG Quick Remote fails in ART.

Where at? I looked around but I didn't see it. Do you have a link?
Does CM11 have the AVRCP profile working properly?
Tried the nightly up on the Cyanogen site, ART works. Everything seems to work fine on first impression so far but the animations for opening and closing apps are pretty choppy otherwise everything seems pretty normal. I'm sure the bugs and optimization for that will be worked out asap.

This is AOSP built so it also includes the aosp browser as well as the features above. The others are just based off of the factory images I believe.

Just a quick question before I try this rom out: Does titanium backup work properly in terms of un-installing system apps? Or is this an issue with the app itself or the root method?? Currently when I try it says 'failed to locate file'

+1...and also lack an option to let the black background because this is very ugly "gray" background, S3 likes black.
Tryed it ... it is very good.... i did encounter 2 problems ...

2. Power widgets for the Notification drawer - Flash doesn`t work ... and longpressing the flash button causes the system UI to crash

How to Install
Make sure you have the latest CWM or TWRP recovery
Copy the Rom zip file to Internal Storage
Backup your files and data (if you like, backup Data, System and Boot with Recovery)
If this is your first time on it and want a clean install to get no erros (but it's not needed), Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache (and if you are on TWRP, after this, go to Mount and uncheck System to get no errors)
Flash the Rom you want to use (This will flashs new Bootloader and new Radio too, automatically)
Restart and Setup this
If someone have any issues, please report here so I try to fix as soon as possible!
This works only with LTE Band 4 (AWS 1700/2100) that is supported by Nexus 4. If your carrier don't have support to Band 4 of LTE, I recommend that you use the version without LTE.

/* Changelog (Top is the newest bottom is the oldest) */
06-11-2014 { offical pa changlog here. As for my changes just updates from cm for our device if you wanna look just go and look on my github kitkat stuff will be slowing down as work starts shifting over to lollipop. Asking when its done/coming will make it take longer. }
09-02-14 {
Here are Pa's changes in their own changlog thread/post just click me. As for our device changes I've merged in the latest fixes for msm8960 as well as fixed msm8960_jbbl. So whether your moto did or didn't get the 4.4.2 offical update it should be appearing there eventually if it's supported by cm.}
06-02-14 {
Haven't updated this changelog cause I'm lazy. Check pa's page for their changes as for our devices included in moto_msm8960 I've been pulling in upstream changes from dhacker + cm as of TODAY 06-02-14 the patches for 3.4 kernel has been pushed so you will need to update your bootloader to stock 4.4.2. Simply backup or setup flash the ota and then flash the newest paranoidandroid. }
03-27-14 {
Everything is working exepct nfc won't turn off from settings.
And included gestures on by default & extra keys from cm in aosp keyboard. [If you want it just check that you don't flash gapps that replace keyboard.]
Let me know if anything else does't work, post here NOT on paranoid's G+ page
}
Edit : My bad I did not read about the unified thing!
Gonna test the ROM right now!
This rom have been build bro and have been shared as well for the entire family.

Did peek ever make it into this build...?
Also, what's the consensus on using ART with PA?
Thanks for this build! I'll report back tomorrow after a full day Thank you thank you.

Yeah, peek first build is the 0327. Mine is working without issues. Didn't tried ART yet but it seems PA don't recommend it. Nevermind, it's the usual warning from CM and PA. I'm switching to it now to do some testing.
I heard peek was wakelocking and draining battery awfully, any comments on how is working now?

How is the OTA working to install 3-27? I flashed 3-25. I use the OTA on my Nexus 10 w/ TWRP. I'd like to see if the OTA works with the Moto and Philz CWM

OTA works great. I flashed 0323 and updated to 0327 afterwards without issues. Although i'm using CWM touch 6.0.4.4 there should be no problem.

That's where you should see it. Remember previous builds didn't have peek on it. Flash 0327 and it would be there.

I can't be really objective yet because I had this installed 1 day ago. Didn't noticed an "awfully battery draining" but it could be better. We're awared how keeping peek active could impact on battery performance because those 10 sec sensor window. It has some issues already, sometimes sensors won't respond and it won't wake up when you pick it up. But peek is on beta yet and all-in-all is working as espected.
So I flashed the 3/27 build and idk if I'm missing something but I have like no options...no extra goodies no peek no pie seemed like stock KitKat so I restored my previous ROM, I'm still interested in trying this seemed smooth just no extra tweaks or settings on my end...am I the only one with this issue? Clean wipe flashed through twrp wiped cache and all that jazz lol

Didn't see this sorry I will also try this!
Also, probably a very dumb question. but does coming from the unofficial AOSPA build count as coming from a different ROM (AKA require a factory reset?) or is just a system/cache wipe okay.

Commotio
Commotio B-105
Commotio VS Vanir:
Commotio is DHO's take on Vanir. Different UI, scripts, and often testing new features that may be merged into Vanir.
They are 100% compatible and users can pick their favorite. Commotio can be thought of as bleeding edge testing ground for new features and optimizations which may or may not make their way into Vanir
Donate to: DHO - Team Vanir
Follow on G+: Team Vanir
Commotio + Vanir Features:
- Multiple Devices
- Based on CM13 nightlies
Debloated
- All inclusive ~180 MB –> 60 MB of Bloat removed
- Fully featured LatinIME Keyboard, but only 2.2 MB (normally 16-20 MB), removed tracking/logging
- And soo much more
Butter
- Compiled with linaro keychain.
- Optimized with linaro 4.8
- GCC 4.8 w/ -O3 -fstrict-aliasing AKA highly optimized compiling for better results (like Linaro)
- Vanir.cfg – Set your CPU frequencies, colors, ZRAM, and much more. Set and once and forget; it stays on your SD card
- DHOtheory: Sets up the kernel/ROM the way I like it, then self destructs on first boot, so you can change it later
- Go-faster Axiom scripts
- Vanirice – makes everything just a bit smooth
- For every 1 user settings there are 5 power saving + performance tweaks tweaks
Gapps
- Included. See my Gapps post for further details.

Thread to be updated....
IMPORTANT
Currently SuperSU has issues, so kindly don't flash that and access root by enabling developer options by tapping multiple times on build number in about device and then enabling root access from there.
Flashing this right NOW, very excited. Exactly what I've been waiting for!
Note to anyone looking to flash the kltevzw variant: the 7 April official vanir build does not look like it has picked up my proprietary files change. It may boot, but definitely won't have radio until they pull it over from CM.

So that commit will hit the next attempted build, but their vendor_samsung repo hasn't had the changes pulled over yet. The nightlies will fail to compile until that happens.
I'll reach out to give them a heads up after finishing changing the oil in my trucks.

Tried this rom last night on a full clean wipe of my phone, couldn't get past it detecting if i had a sim card or not (which I did). It would just boot loop

Its the toolchain and scripts which are used to build it. Its more performance focused instead of new features. Install it and then compare to to cm 13 on your device and you'll notice the difference.

If its in CM13 then it is present in this too.
New builds are up for commotio based on latest CM13 changes and Android 6.0.1 _r30.
Silly question but I use to use vanir ages ago and was mad with features like is this like that or just CM with speed mods/ kernel mods? also cm theme engine is it available or layers?

I see a download for Verizon but just wanted to double check I'm on cm currently so this is safe to flash correct? Does the kernel allow oc modifications?

Its like CM but only essential CM features the rest is AOSP with tool chain optimizations and other debloating and optimizing scripts. You can install it and notice the difference for yourself.

Yes, the latest versions are OK to flash. Don't flash any older builds because they don't have essential files for VZW. The kernel is stock CM.
