Hi. If you're on DX then I guess you're in asian region, right?
XX is for european region. It will probably work but may not be optimized for asian standards. Not totally sure what differences there is.

The best one would be the one for your region. but others would still say EU - KPK.

Yes, keep your region. My phone is from Latin america, It works with other basebands but it's better with the official baseband.
Hi,
I'm using Paranoid Android 4.5 Alpha 2 and I wonder how to update modem baseband to latest version without losing my actual configuration and ROM.
Is it possible?
If so, can you tell me how and what do I need.
Thanks by advance

why do you want to flash baseband?
Because I have issues with phone calls.
So I would like to take advantage of the latest baseband that would maybe fix those.

it might be an operator issue/rom bug.
dont fiddle with the baseband
It's not an operator problem.
So I suppose the problem is from my side (phone).
I used to have a Nexus 4 and ROM and baseband are 2 different things that you can flash independently.
Are you sure it's not the same with Xperia Z?
I already saw some topics with titles like Baseband Generic US something. But I did not find any Generic FR at the latest version.

You can download the french firmware and just flash the baseband from flashtool
Edit: Why dont you try EU firmware
I found out one topic for generic FR latest firmware and I used your trick flashing only the baseband.
Thanks!
Now I will see with the time if it's making my phone work better.

It depends on your customization number which is related to your country and your network.
Anyway you can update by yourself, have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648320
Don't worry about country origin, just choose an unbranded one
So i can choose for example 9.2.A.1.205 - Unbranded - USA (1270-5202) this. I will have no problems even if for example my phone has now installed 4.1 android the UK version. Will it be the same?

Yep, it's the same.
Remember to wipe all your data when you switch from a different android version to another, in order to avoid possible system issues.
Thanks man

If I were you, I would install 9.2.A.1.199 Unbranded UK that is a quite good version...
