Hi
I want to use ART in CM11 on my P1 to do this I need to:
"NOTE: If you want to use ART, your cache partition (P1/L/N: internal sdcard 3rd partition; SCH-I800/SPH-P100: internal sdcard 1st partition) must be bigger than 105MB, ideally 210MB or more"
Now I have:
/data 1.96 GB
/cache 98.4 MB
sdcard0 12.8 GB
And I want:
/cache 210MB
How to change it??

I would also like to know how to do it, if it may be useful. The idea of using ART, came from terenceg, for the [ROM] CM-11.0 | AOSP 4.4.1 KitKat | Galaxy Tab 7" [Dec 6, 2013]. I am not sure if changing partitions will break the cm 11 Nightly or not. However, the idea of double app speed in ART sounds wonderful! I only have 2 partitions, 1 of 1.87 GB with 1.17 GB available and 1 of 12.83 GB, with 10.3 GB available. Most media is on External SD. I use cm-11-20131209-NIGHTLY-p1 with the built-in Kernel 3.0.101-g664e662.
Also, my wifi download speed has always been very slow, my baseband is P1000XXJPZ. I am sure its been that way since FROYO. 3g/HSDPA works very well.

Hello.
Installed phiremod 4.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954902
All is fine, except one: I do not know how to access the internal data storage (5 GB).
A similar problem is described here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/16812-internal-storage-media/
In fact, I typed in a terminal:
su
mount-o rw, remount-t rootfs /
mkdir / mnt / media
mount / dev/block/mmcblk0p8 / mnt / media
mount-o ro, remount-t rootfs /
... and the partition appeared, the mounted as "/mnt/media".
However, after rebooting the partition again is not visible.
How to correct this situation?
Thanks in advance.
Just a heads up, the internal storage is mounted on boot in the latest CM7 nightlies
Sorry, I do not quite understand.
Tell me please: fixes have already been made in the installation package "phiremod 4.4.1"?
I'm having the same issue as the folks above. I just installed phiremod V4.1 to emmc and it does not recognize all of the Internal Storage on the NC.
Apps > Settings > Storage shows Internal Storage at 0.92 GB, with available Internal Storage at 853 KB. No problems with the SD Card btw...it shows 7.4 GB.
I would really appreciate it if someone could point me to a post, or outline the steps required to flash the daily update of CM7 so that the current implementation of phiremod 4.1 with CM7 is able to recognize the full 5.00GB of Internal Storage?
Thanks in advance!
"Phiremod" is nothing more than a glossed over CM7 nightly, and an out of date one at that. From what i can tell, if you want to keep the "mod", there is no easy way to update to the latest nightly.
Becasue of the state of the build, with nightlys coming at us quickly, it is best to avoid these custom solutions all together.
The best i can tell ya, is to download the latest nightly, and start from scratch (format /system, /data, /cache **BUT NOT BOOT**). Because of the way the nightlys work, you WILL be able to flash a new one over the old, without losing data.
Perhaps it is too difficult for beginners.
I just tried to follow the installation instructions Phiremod V4.1 (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954902).
After the problems with access to the internal partition, I installed the latest (nightly) build "CM7" (http://mirror.teamdouche.net/?device=encore), and problems with internal partition disappeared.
Nevertheless, Phiremod V4.1 was very convenient.
There is 1.35GB free space in /system partition but only 40MB free space in /data partition on my phone.
Is there a way to repartition the internal storage so as to make use of the large free space in /system partition?

I've got the answer. The /data and /system partition is swapped in CM10 20120820 nightly build.
May be I should use CM10 20120814 version to get the bigger /data partition back.
That would slow down your apps and you wouldn't be able to make use of new features and fixes. Move some of your apps to sdcard and remove unused ones and there shouldn't be a problem.
You could, by that defeats the purpose of what pawitp just did. Move apps to sd.

If you need the extra space create an ext4 partition of around 1gb on your external sdcard and install Link2sd from the play store. That's a universal solution for all phones with limited storage.
Someone has also created a script that does practically the same thing, except it uses the internal movinand where /system is stored instead. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30568246
Use Datafix app from market, it makes /data/data directory, where all app cache can be stored.

That doesn't work with JB anymore because of the partition change. Hopefully they update it to make it work.
Would it be possible to move (link) some user data (emails etc.) to /cache partition? I have only 14 of 885 MB used. It seems also that the dalvik cache (400 MB) is stored somewhere else. I wonder why the /cache partition is not used to the purpose it should be.

Also /system partition seems to be quite unused. I have only 418 MB of 1.97 GB used. Why not link some app data there?
btw... I use CM11 latest nightly
edit: ok, I tried the guide from the latest link and it works... I got extra 400 MB on /data partition and used a half of cache partition...

Note :- This guude may at times may frustrate you but keep patience as its fruits will b sweet
Note2 :- Sd card recommended is class 10 and not class 6 as per my experience on lollipop this os require high io capabilities.
Note3:-This guide is made around twrp recovery so philz lovers may have problem with this ,sorry for that but cant do anything about that, a addition in custom twrp will be that you can backup/restore NVRAM AND OEM PARTITIONS.
So now lets start
.1.First of all we start with partitioning sdcard;
Warning : backup your sdcard before partitioning.
(i) Partition the sdcard in 4 parts (for this you can use Gparted(Ubuntu) or mini partition tool (windows))
(ii)For 32gb sdcard (my partition sizes)
P1 size 24.6 GB filesystem fat32 To be used as mass storage(Primary partition)
P2 size 900 MB filesystem EXT4 To be used as /system(Primary partition)
P3 size 4 GB filesystem EXT4 To be used as /data (Primary partition)
P4 size 150 MB filesystem EXT4 To be used as /cache (Primary partition)
Note : you can vary these sizes according to your need ad storage constraints but no no /system /data /cache shall b less than 800mb 1gb 70mb respectively.
(iii) Now comes rom installing part;
Note : Prefer to keep stable ROMs like stock kk or cm11 on internal and bleeding edge ROMs like lollipop on sd.
(a) if you installing lollipop 5.1 By backup then ,
- using philz restore it, guve it first boot;
-switch to official twrp backup the /system /data /cache and name tge backup as "lollipop"
-Install whichever rom you want in internal storage (preferably kk);
-Now switch to custom TWRP recovery (download link given in end of this post);
-paste in the lollipop backup "boot" backup(boot.emmc.win) and (download link given in end of this post);
(b)if you are installing lollipop rom by zip then
-edit updater script of the rom's zip and change the partition address
Open updater script with notepad++
Find - mmcblk0p14
Replace with - mmcblk1p2
Find - mmcblk0p16
Replace with - mmcblk1p3
Find - mmcblk0p15
Replace with - mmcblk1p4
-save it;
-repack tge zip;
-Besure that you are on custom TWRP
-FLASH ZIP
-done.
Congratulations you have dual booted your phone
(iv)To switch between the ROMs you just have to to flash /boot partition
-for booting into sd's rom (lollipop) restore lollipop backup's boot;
-For booting into emmc's rom flash that rom's boot.imh
(For convenience and ease backup emmc rom's boot by twrp and then whenever you want to switch just restore emmc's or sd's(given in download link) rom boot backup as the caee may be reboot into system)

More instructions
I am very interested in this thread, I think this is the greatest thread that I can find on Android One Cross-Device General.
But because I still noobs, I had trouble for following the instructions and always stuck in the last step on how to restore the .img file of kk(internal) and Lollipop(sd). I think this thread is too simple and less can be understood for a noobs like me.
So, would you like to add more explanations to help me follow the instructions so that I can make my phone into dual boot mod.
thanks in advance..
userdata only in SD card
userdata in SD card is working and im using it now. I'm on Marshmallow latest.
???you need to edit fstab in boot.img.
Pls tell me how to wipe the internal storage correctly via TWRP.
I use 128 GB version.
Sometimes when I format I see 113 GB free of 113 GB
Sometimes it is 107 GB of 113
Sometimes the internal space is reduced to 38 GB of 46.4 GB !!!!
I usually wipe the internal storage via TWRP.
Also the other partitions are also being wiped,system dalvik data cache etc...
Why different results ...
Pls help
Maybe 107gb after you try f2fs and 113gb with ext4. The other strange number sounds like something I read in the multirom thread maybe.
