didn't worked, have issue when arrived to the step "installing clockworkmod recovery. black screen white text which finish with "fastboot: processing commands" and it's blocked.
hardest phone ever made to root
The phone was rooted successfully but the CWM was not installed, so i installed ROM manager and installed it through it, i rebooted and installed my custom ROM.

Its a nice ROM... another thing that doesnt work seems to be the GPS stuff... no fix... no icon in statusbar afetr opening Maps... even after reboot it won't work... (already postet it in rootzwiki)
But anyway... its a very nice piece of work... hope that in a few weeks the nightlys come out...

Hello, I am an user of Samsung galaxy SL I9003, we are now porting cm7 too. But unfortunately, every alpha version has failed to boot. They all stuck at boot screen, I know we all using chipset omap 3630, may I invite the developers of cm7 in LG ob help ur phone to port cm7? About the kernel source part? Can I go to CWM recovery from Nova and flash SelfKANG after wiping data (since I already have CWM from rooting/flashing Nova)? I just noticed that a Nandroid Backup is recommended as per arcee's instructions... is that the same as the Titanium Backup thingy? Help will be very much appreciated! Thank you very much!

Yes you can. Boot to recovery. Wipe data & cache partition then flash cm7.
Nandroid is much like titanium but more stable

I bet USB is plugged when you powered off. Try unplugging it then power off..

Well I correct my early post because I forgot something: my phone doesn't turn off when it's charging. Even turned off and then plug to charge, it boots.

Guys, I need help... I already flashed SK4 (I wiped everything before flashing SK4). Noticed that there's no Market App so I Googled it and found the apk. I installed it but whenever I try to open It just asks for an account then when I press OK, it just goes back to the home screen.
I downloaded the apk 3 times from 3 diferent sources, but it still doesn't work... I even flashed SK4 3 times also, same procedure, still, the Market doesn't work.

Try with some basic tools like unlockroot.com , superoneclick , and one universal root for 4.0 ics.... search on Google and xda:thumbup:

Iv rooted a few including my own..use superone click,u nead the older version with gingerbrake...its the only one that will work with the lg l35g...it will install an outdated supuruser but u can update in market when ur finished..

Root will be removed. Apps and settings stays intact. Don't know about messaging app. If you flashed it in system instead default app it will be removed I think, but if you installed it from apk file like any other app it will stay. I installed with method similar to hacked lg suite method and everything is in place and working ok.

I forgot to say that my phone wasn’t rooted.

Since LG unlocked the boot loader Im sure you will still be able to root when the update is official.
when rooting my lg thrill with superoneclick i can not seem to get past where it says looking for shellroot step #7 waiting for device this happens after it reboots. when using megatron it quckily goes through everything but does not do anything Please Help any help would be apreeciated
If you're on gingerbread. Search for Megatron root in this forum. Otherwise ICS is out and is easily rooted.

this is how i got mine to root I was first stuck till trying this but sometimes it may take twice for it to work a good way to see if Super user is working is to download something like WiFi tether this is how i knew this method i tried to work I have official ICS on my phone
