Invisible Shield for Incredible S

I don't really like putting my gadgets in cases that make them any more bulky than they already are, and I've been using an Invisible Shield full-body set for my Tilt since '07. I ordered an Incredible S, and it seems there is a screen protector offered from ZAGG for the Inc S. I've had good mileage with the protectors for the Tilt, so here's to hoping they offer a full-body kit for the Incredible S as well as just the screen film.

Well looking at this they should do pretty soon anyway!

They only have the screen protector on the manufacturer site (ZAGG), though I'd imagine the full body protection can't be far behind. Then again, the unique back may prove to be a challenge.

I have an HTC Touch HD2 since one year and this is my first telephone with capacitive screen. I did not put any screen protector because the screen in made of glass so actually very difficult if not impossible to scratch. And after one year the screen has no sign of scratch. So, because the Incredible is capacitive screen too, so made of glass, what is the purpose of a screen protector?

I don't know about you, but I treat my gadgets pretty badly. I treat technology as a whole as a means to an end. I stuff my phone in my pocket with keys, I toss it across the table to friends, I generally abuse it. When I told my father you could take notes on my phone, he wrote on it with a ballpoint pen...
I use a screen protector, no matter what.

I'm also waiting on the official release from ZAGG for the Invisible Shield screen protector for my Incredible S.

The screen protection is available for something like 15 dollars, but full body protection still isn't available. I asked whether or not it was in the works, but got an evasive response... We might not be getting full body protection for it so I'm starting to keep an eye out for soft-touch cases (silicone, rubber-feel hard cases etc.).

Perhaps you could try this Carbon Fiber Skin Protector (hxxp://www[dot]skinomi[dot]com[slash]htc-droid-incredible-s-carbon-fiber-skin-protector[dot]html) for the HTC Incredible S. It looks like perfect!

I don't think they have the skins in stock at Skinomi. They still have the skins for the Incredible S listed under pre-order.

I have ordered a few days ago, and I receive the 'shipping' status and a USPS tracking number. So, I'll receive maybe next week.

has anyone received a protective "skin" for the incredible S yet - is there any update?

I got an XtremeGuard Full body protection from ebay for 5 USD! It's the same thing as Zagg.

isnt the screen scratchproof allready? ive mine for a while now and still not a single scratch

It has Gorilla Glass (by Corning) which is tempered and resistant but not scratch proof. Eventually, it does get scratched which is why I'd like a screen protector as well.
The problem with screen protectors is they're cut so they cover the front camera and unfortunately that degrades the image quality of a camera that's already pretty limited.
I'll have to look into the XtremeGuard, but the main reason I like ZAGG is I've had their full body kit for my Tytn II for 3 years, and it has seen a ton of abuse. The skin did eventually get scratched, which I e-mailed ZAGG about and they offered a free replacement. I didn't really mind the scratch (it was on one of the side strips) so I didn't bother, but I like the way their representatives handled the situation.

All of the screen protectors I have received with cases for my IS (I have tried 3 different makes) have had a cut-out for the front facing camera

I ordered me an extreme guard screen protector off ebay for 2.99. Just like Zagg but way cheaper. I was gone do full body for 4.99 but I have my phone in a case. I think a case holds up against the impact of a drop better than a full body skin.

The Skinomi full body Techskin is also available. I'm wondering, is their screen protector as good as the Zagg's one?

Im trying to figure out how to order the Panzer Glass Screen Protector. They have a US option on their site but when you enter your shipping info US is not an available option in the county drop down menu. I emailed them yesterday and am awaiting a reply hopefully tomorrow. From what I have been able to locate on reviews and such, the Panzer Glass has been the best option so far on a tempered glass screen protector.

Yeah the panzer glass is really good. I've had it on for 2-3 weeks now and I don't have a single complain about it. It was quite difficult to put on though

Where are you located and any clue how someone could get Panzer Glass in the US?

We ordered Glass-M Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector from Japan via e-bay.
This is the only glass protetor I've tried, there's no comparison to any plastic screen protectors IMHO.

There are a couple of threads about this in Accessories.
That said, I bought a cheap hong kong one months ago and it still looks great. Never going back to plastic.

its comes out of the box with xperia zr.
if you see care fully on the edges ypu will see the screen protector

that's the factory-applied anti-shatter sheet. it scratches VERY easily...
it definitely isn't tempered glass tho... far from it...

I'm French and I have searched desperately a web site to buy a tempered glass but this is a total failure. Impossible to find any tempered glass for the ZR.
I have searched with all keywords possible : C5502 C5502 M36h Xperia ZR Xperia A So-04e dogo
I found only one on Amazon UK but impossible to ship it to France. I find also some tempered glass on alibaba.com but this web site is dedicated for large orders and professionnals.

I received it last week.
For now, it's great. A the start I was just a little bit surprised by the thickness of 0,3mm, it's really bigger than plastic films. But after all it's good!
As usual I didn't make any bubbles by applying the protection.
It seems pretty strong. I scratched (slowly !) with cisors and there is no marks.
I take care of my phones, before the tempered glass protection I had a plastic screen protector and I was almost intact after 1 year. So I think that this tempered glass will last a long time. :good:
I have just 2 remarks about the tickness.
Firt, when you pull down the notification bar from the right, at the start it's strange to have the edge of the tempered glass under the finger but get used to it.

The second remark is about the left and right edges. I use a case to protect my phone and with the 0.3mm of tempered glass it's more pleasant to slide my finger over the screen in left and right slides because the gap between the case egde and the screen is smaller.

To conclude, I recommend this tempered glass! And it's pretty cheap compared to tempered glass for other phones. Try it!

Nice to hear that. ZR comes with shatter proof sheet on the scratch resistant glass. So you removed that and then put the tempered glass protector
what was the price of it? I heard its very costly. A retailer told me its around INR 1000

No I didn't remove the factory screen protector!
I put my protections on the factory protection. In fact there is 3 layers :
touch screen glass → factory plastic screen protector → tempered glass
If you remove the factory plastic screen protector the "Sony" logo comes with it and your warranty will be canceled.
So let the factory screen protector and put a protection on it!!
About the cost, for me in France it's 3.53€. With a convertor you can see that 3.53€ is equal to INR 250.
For me in France, 3.53€ is cheap.

I don't trust the scratch resistance of the screen glass. It's not Gorilla Glass.
No problem about visibility or touch sensitivity! The visibility depend of your talent when you apply the protection. If you don't make bubbles the result will be great.

if you guys want tempered glass screen guard then you can use htc one m7 it fits perfectly for me or you can got to the shop and try screen guards of different devices like z3 compact it may fit

Damn. I've got a feeling that they're not in production anymore. I mean this tablet is coming up to 4 years old and it didn't really sell that well or was that popular compared to the nexus 7 or anything from apple.
