Story: After getting my new HTC I wanted to flash a CM Rom as I had it on my last Phone and loved it. So first I unlocked the bootloader, all was well Bootloader said unloaded at the top. Next went to flash CWM, and THEN ... ... ... OH NOOOO, Instand of typing the command
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-ville.img
I typed
Code:
fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.1-ville.img
supprised the phone had not bricked the only difference, Bootloader now said TAMPERED above UNLOCKED. After putting in the new command and going to Recovery CMW did not load, Just got a HTC screen about not to sell this phone because it is a developer phone. The phone then Rebooted into the normal OS. After some researching and seeing that factory reset no longer works, I've come to the concludion that it must be the bootloader. So go after the RUU. I go to the htc site for RUU's. Search for ONE SV can't find T-mobile UK decide to download one to have a look. Extrack zip file only to find a read me and .tar.gz no exe. Extract gz and tar only to find source code with make files.
Why is my CID orang001 when the network is Tmobile in the UK?
Can I get a the RUU for this phone?
How do I run a RUU with no exe? Can u make an exe with GCC?
Can I install CWM some other way and or Restock my phone?
Hi there,
As there's no specific forum for your device, you'll need to post your question in the Question & Answer forum.
It won't do much good here in the HTC One (M7) Forum considering it's a different phone
Hi all,
i'm a total noob in the htc world, i tried digging around in the forum but didn't find the answer to my doubts.
I've an italian (totally unlocked) rooted M7 with STOCK (no carrier personalisation) ROM, running:
- Android 4.4.2
- Sense 5.5
- Software Number 4.19.401.11
- Kernel 3.4.10-g7fe1bad [email protected] #1
- Baseband 4A.25.3263.21_10.38x.1157.04L
- Build Number 4.19.401.11 CL304164 release-keys
- Custom TWRP Recovery & Unlocked Bootloader
I just received the sticky notification telling me to OTA update to Sense 6 ( Update # 5.11.401.10). My question is: what happens if i OTA update my One? Will it soft/hard brick? How do i manage to safely install the update? If there isn't a way to install it is there a way to flash some features of it singulatim?
Thank you all in advance.
PS: if the answer is NO to all my questions, how the hell do i remove that annoying notification from my not panel?

You need a stock recovery and locked bootloader to run the OTA. You can get it from this thread [Collection][GUIDE] HTC One Stock Recoveries. Find your stock recovery from the list, download it and follow the instructions in the OP.

Entered Bootloop after few trials, factory reset via fastboot, tried again from TOTALLY STOCK rom, failed again. I begin thinking the problem is either the locked boot loader or root itself!

are you sure the /preload apps are the one specifically from your version (4.19.401.11) ?
also set permission correctly to all these files (-rw-r--r--)
well, all file patched by the ota are MD5 checked by the updater script, if any file have unexpected content (file was modified or missing), the update installation will abort and you'll see that red triangle with the exclamation mark.
like yatindroid said, unlcoked bootloader doesnt matter.
you need stock recovery from the 4.19.401.11 version
all files to be patched must be 100% stock (from 4.19.401.11)

Ended up flashing Cyanogenmod, ahah. Thank you all for your help!:fingers-crossed:
I apologize in advance if I should have posted this in a different area. Im not the best with that stuff.
As the title says, I want to remove TWRP and unroot my device. And yes I know there are many threads on this topic already, however none of them seem to actually get the job done. I have the Harmon Kardon edition for Sprint and I have been wanting to install this Lollipop update I got today.
So far, I have tried to use the RUU that a lot of tutorials seem to swear on, but when I start the process, it says that its not the correct version for my phone! (even though the tutorials say its for the harmon kardon eidtion)
Ive also used theUnlockrs tutorial and got stuck when there was no download for my CID number listed on the other xda developer post.
I then tried this tutorial and also couldnt find the correct files for my phone.
Heres what Im not understanding:
This isnt the first time I have rooted this device and unrooted it. I actually did this about 7 or 8 months ago and had no problem. Since then, I have removed all files and downloads that I used. SO WHY is everything wrong now? What am I doing wrong?
IF someone has the information I need to fix this problem, could you please help me? I just want lollipop!
Thank you,
sheer
Edit - wrong forum, and your problem is googleable.

yeah you say that, but apparently it isnt. Thats why I was looking for extra help..
Flash a stock rom.
Re-lock bootloader.
Flash stock recovery.
Take OTA.
Profit.
Side note it's not a good idea to wander outside the Sprint section because most threads refer to GSM devices.
One M8 Harman Karmon stock recovery

I bought my first HTC and it threw virgin Mobil. I was told it was a HTC Desire 626s. But I had the specs ran on it threw several different apps. It tells me it's a HTC OMP92, 5.1 Android, kernel versions 3.10.39-perf-ga4f8dc4 [email protected] #2 SMP PREEMPT, software version 1.24.651.2 so is my phone a Desire 626s or a OMP92? I have also tried every one touch not computer root I can find and none will work. I have the boot loader unlocked but as far as I know I can flash over a rom with out a computer and I don't have one. Is there another way to flash or a root apk that will work that I have not tried??

Ive been trying to use [This](http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-626/general/htc-desire-626-att-root-confirmed-t3381064) guide to root my HTC but after unlocking the bootloader and installing kinroot i dont actually get the option to root the phone at all, im only able to submit a root strategy...
Is it possible to root this phone at all? or is there something ive missed?
I havent turned s-on/off is that makes a difference.
If I were you I would use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-626/help/complete-detailed-step-step-root-t3217505
