Xperia Z1 Info-eye image information - Xperia Z1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have been using Xperia's Info-eye feature, absolutely speechless....
They combined google's goggles like functionality yet maintained the beauty, the UI sleek and flawless.
having used the feature for sometime now, I m wondering if there is any way we can save the information provided by Info-eye along with the captured pictures and to be able to retrieve the information the same way it displays on top of the pictures later, overlay information on the picture.
I wouldn't mind a third party app that can retrieve the information stored along with the pictures .e.g places around the gelocation, weather etc.
App like that would really do wonders for some people specially over the festive season, going to different paces and storing accurate information, creating memories.
any help will be highly appreciated.

Ability to move messges to/from email app folders

Hi - Long time reader, first time poster. I've been using Android since its days of inception, and following a specific feature that has been an left out since 1.0 was released #1128; I also encourage you to star the issue/feature if its important enough for you. The stock Email app pre 2.0 was a joke at the least, although 2.0 made it far more robust, this specific feature is no where near resolution. I wanted to know if others in the forum have found a solution (another app, modified Email app, etc) instead?
If not, then I'm willing to take a stab at the Email app code and see if I can add this feature myself. Before I go that route, any suggestions are welcome.
*bump* Are there really no suggestions on this guys? I tried K9, and it doesn't offer the ability to move emails between folders either

Cluttered user interface on LG G2
after first run the user interface is rather cluttered with text behind the icons etc.
after doing the first capture it seems like the UI is improved, but all text is now missing.
Should be some attachments that gives you more into detail what happens.

I like the idea
I tried it in my Samsung Galaxy Mega and it had some difficulties. I was able to take a picture but when I tried to enhance the photo the app closed. Tried this several times. I'll keep playing around with it and see if there is a way to make it work.
Is it possible to connect the phone with pc and then it would work like a scanner if it can then it will be more awesome... :what: :what: but still its a awesome discovery and creation.... by you...:thumbup:

Great work.. !!.. scanned documents are more clear.. more user friendly :good:
App is good
Comes in handy some times.
seems to work as described. thanks! great app!
Really handy bc at the hospital, they seem to be stuck in the fax era, so this is a nice way to get documents to people without having to find a fax machine
great app. very handy and easy to use.
thanks
Looks like a useful app!
What I didn't like in a quick check:
- I don't like the 3D carousel view, an option to have a simpler view would be useful.
- after the edges were marked it asked me to press OK, sometimes it takes very long to accept 'OK' (or process), sometimes doesn't respond to OK at all.
likes:
- good filters to improve resulting scans
- raw image is kept for later edit
It would be easier if I could zoom in the image to determine the edges. Btw its very handy, good job.

[VIDEO PRODUCERS NEEDED!] What Is Your Perfect Teleprompter?

As a filmmaker, I shoot several different types of videos. One thing I have been trying to do is find a cost efficient teleprompter. With so many inexpensive tablets on the market, using an Android app seems like the most logical solution to this problem. I have tried several apps so far but none of them seem to fit my needs 100%.
I am not a developer, I am a filmmaker. I do however, have spoke to a developer interested in helping me solve my problem by creating a app from the ground up that is design exactly how I want it to be with the functionality that it needs. Before embarking on this task I would like to get some feedback from other video professionals and app developers alike on things ranging from currently available apps, things that are wrong with currently available apps & features that would be included in The Perfect Teleprompter App.
I expect that there will be a lot of responses that say there are options currently available and that the need for yet another teleprompter app does not exist. That being said, unless I find an app that has an interface that I like, the functionality that I need and the peripherals to make it even better, I will probably continue to pursue this project. THE PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD is to allow other filmmakers to provide their input and thoughts about what the perfect teleprompter app would be.
Features I currently have in mind (This list will change as I receive feedback. ):
Clean, Usable Interface
Dropbox and Google Drive Access
In App Editing
Speed Control during prompting
Text Size Options
Light & Dark themes
Movable Location Arrow (An arrow on the side of the screen that allows you to move it vertically to show the target location of the line being read.)
Bluetooth connection so your phone could be used as a remote.
Wired remote option
Mirror Mode
Scroll to any part of the script and start it rolling from that location
Free, fully functional version (No Ads)
Custom app branding (change splash screen to display your companies logo)
I want this thread to be a way for all of us to collaborate and make an app that we all enjoy using. It is a big project for me to take on and because of that, I feel it would be silly to keep it all to myself. Please post any suggestions, questions, idea or concerns. My goal for this project is to finally provide a teleprompter that does exactly what we need it to do as a producers. Thank you for the help and feedback and hopefully together we can get this app launched for everyone to use.
Thank you so much,
zpeverman

[APP] [4.0+] atmosHere Weather, making Android weather smarter!

I'm the developer of atmosHere (play on words of atmosphere) Weather for Android, an Android app to make weather smarter, and simpler. The app is "Card UI" based, similar to that of Google Now, and is powered first and foremost by the hyper accurate Forecast.io. By using Google's Fused location Provider, we can get your exact location and get down to the minute weather information, all while also getting data for the upcoming week! The app prioritizes information based on the current weather conditions. So if there is a weather alert for your location, that will be the first card you will see! Similar concepts are used else where, if it's raining or snowing, you will get a card for nearby traffic accident counts. This pattern is used throughout the app. This makes it extremely simple to get glance-able information about what is going on right now, and other data that applies based on the conditions. The card ui also makes it simple to fling down a little further for the upcoming week weather, chances of rain, device sensor readings (barometric pressure, temps, etc), pollen counts, UV index, astronomy information, and many more! The app is also extremely configurable, by allowing users to toggle what information they want to see, allowing them to personalize the data they get within the app!
Just recently (last night) I added a new feature that I have yet to see from any other Forecast.io powered app. Forecast.io provides TONS of information, but for the normal person it is hard to parse through all the data given and make sense of it and what it means for the weather. So i have taken the data given, and "pre-parsed" it in a sense, and turned it into a friendly, readable, format when needed. For example, forecast.io provides a summary for a given days' forecast, "Breezy starting in the afternoon, continuing until the evening." and then this is where I come in and add additional, relevant information. So if there is a high chance of rain in the forecast, I will add precipitation information, "75% chance of rain, with light rain starting at 5pm". This gives you the chance of rain, how heavy it will be (can range from very light to very heavy), and then the forecasted time of that precipitation! I also do the same for the given temperature. So you may see "High for today of 35, with a low of 25" and if it will "feel" warmer or cooler than the given temperature, it will also let you know! This makes the forecast for every day personalized and relevant, and lets you very quickly flip to a given day's forecast and know exactly what the forecast is. No need to flip through charts of data, and stare at numbers trying to make sense of them!
The app also features data from other services to aid with contextual information, such as traffic conditions, marine and ski conditions, latest earthquake information, and even a feed of National Weather Service Audio Streams! This will be built out even further going forward, allowing users to custom tailor the weather information they are shown!
The app also features radar data of all types, from precipitation, to weather alerts, and plenty more! Your Android standards such as widgets, notifications, and even extensions for the ever popular DashClock and Muzei are included! The app has already been optimized for Android Wear once it is released to the public. Google Glass has not been forgotten either, as there is a build ready to go for when Google Opens up GDK app distribution!
I have a G+ community setup that I am posting information about updates, bugs, and asking random questions for possible future updates. I will also answer any questions or I am open to just good old conversation! I am always open to suggestions of new ideas for the app. It's been extremely enjoyable thus far getting that app to where it is, and look forward to keeping that going. I also have no problem answering any emails if you prefer taking that route. The about section of the app includes all contact information you could ever need.

I have been doing weekly releases, and the app has improved tremendously over the last few weeks. We are now sitting in the top 30 in free weather app!
I have also worked on a free version, as some people have seemed hesitant to purchase without being able to really try the Card UI style out first.
So atmosHere Weather Free has been published just today!
Google Play Feature!
atmosHere Weather is now being featured on Google Play!
Feel free to join the G+ Community as well to follow development, make suggestions, or report bugs! There's a current Reddit thread right now as well.
I bought this the other day for my brand new Note 4. After installing all it would do is tell me i was running an unlicensed version. Pretty odd behavior considering i bought it via the play store. Had to request a refund pretty much immediately. Shame. I liked the look of this.

Question GOOGLE APP FIX (AT A GLANCE WIDGET) HAS BEEN REPAIRED!

I'm sure many of you are aware of ongoing issues we've endured in the beta program with the Google app, mainly the "At A Glance" widget. As you may recall, this "system" widget that claims a decent sized chunk of our Homescreens fell to disrepair awhile ago as it began it's descent with the deletion (or MIA, at least) of current weather, leaving many of us "AAAAA" believers with a lonely & unwanted date stamp gimmick.
Good News, at first glance it appears the "at a glance" issues have been dealt with and you'll be pleased to know your homescreens have been returned to their upright & comfortable postions! And again, we thank you for choosing XDA...enjoy the remains of your day!
P.S. You will also find some new weather widgets, under the Google tab!
P. S. S. Do you think we could solicit the Google app development team to include the locale with the current weather temps? (I already sent a request over, for what it's worth).
