Nice rom but this thread need move to Development section.

3. Truthly you must check back or test it before posting.

Trimmed stock roms go in general forum, so the thread is Ok here, I would ask you list what you define as trimmed down, ie, what apks have been taken out. Maybe a few screenshots, is the Rom rooted ect.
Thank you

1. Added credits
2. I have not added any scripts so far. Its just vanilla rom with trimmed apks.
3. I have installed it on my phone and using it for one week now
I don't think anyone is gonna use your ROM. Sincerely, no one uses bareboned stock ROMs anymore because there are plenty others more interesting which give smoothness and speed.
But anyway, i like the idea. Hope you add something interesting so that you will attract more users
exactly what I was looking for thank you very much... maybe its time for me to learn how to do that myself...anyway...

This ROM is inspired from ruigui's "Light ROM" (link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=891511). His ROM was built last December and is Android 2.2. Since he's not updating it anymore, I built myself a Light ROM reincarnation - Light-v2, which is Android 2.2.2.
Please read the stuff first before downloading
UPDATE: Now based on unbranded 2.2.2 KDZ Don't forget to wipe data and stuff.
Download[LATEST]: http://www.mediafire.com/?4loxahek8xlzrrr
40MB worth of apps removed from /system/app. (http://www.mediafire.com/?w9bp1wlckcv7l73)
GB Theme + Kernel = coming soon.
Old releases will be quoted.
Download - http://www.mediafire.com/?j83z7an9miwmqb5 (minor update 3-11-11 gmt +8: replaced SU binary and apk)
NOTE/UPDATE: To those already running this, flash this small zip: http://www.mediafire.com/?elfshpr4x4pk2nj I replaced the SU binaries and the apk due to a small choice error.

What makes this different/common features:
-No Darktremor apps2sd (Yes, we still exist )
-Nano (fan of it. plus i need it for basic text editing)
-Stock framework.
-JIT enabled, HW-ACC disabled
-Heapsize 32.
-Stagefright disabled.
-Set the first item in the JPEG quality array from 90 to 100 (Higher image quality, theoretically. Image file sizes much larger than usual)
-apks zipalined.
-Deodexed.
-Same apks removed from Light ROM, as to continue it's legacy.
-Replaced LGHome with LauncherPro (lghome gets slow overtime. and i chose LP since it's simple enough and is proven and tested on most of the roms here, and doesn't require any initial configuration)
Removed APKs:
AnalogClockWidget.apk
Layer.apk
androidERSEmail.apk
LGHome.apk
apkremoved.zip
LGMITS.apk
AppAdvisor.apk
LiveWallpapers.apk
BookmarksWidget.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
CalendarWidget.apk
Maps.apk
CarHome.apk
MemoWidget.apk
CarHomeLauncher.apk
MessageWidget.apk
CertInstaller.apk
Notification.apk
ClockWeatherWidget.apk
PhotoWidget.apk
ConnectionManagerWidget.apk
Protips.apk
DigitalAlarmWidget.apk
SetupWizard.apk
DualClockWidget.apk
Street.apk
DunServer.apk
Talk.apk
Facebook.apk
thinkdroid.apk
GenieWidget.apk
Twitter.apk
Gmail.apk
VisualizationWallpapers.apk
GoogleFeedback.apk
vz-client.apk
GooglePartnerSetup.apk
Xing_release_15_UNBLOCKED.apk
GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk
YouTube.apk
Stuff I need to say:
-Custom kernel choice is yours. There are multiple kernels here and I understand different people like different stuff, so I didn't include one.
-Stock framework-res. If you want something else, flash it. The gingerbread theme link doesn't work anymore in the themes and apps subforum, so I uploaded it- http://www.mediafire.com/?9crd83ljt93zcuo
-I was expecting the market to be updated already since this is 2.2.2 already, but it wasn't. It should automatically update the first time you install something.
-I'll base it on an unbranded KDZ once I find one. Promise This is from a Vodafone KDZ.
-Anything else, I will add here.
-Lastly, this was meant to be simple. No need for fancy modifications. Those for you to modify according to your preference.
-No need to partition SD Card. Doesn't come with Darktremor Apps2sd. Use Move to SD Enabler instead for apps' move to sd option locked.
Links for other important stuff:

Like I said, I still don't know. I'll take sample pictures when the sun goes out I have a hunch that this defines the camera's JPEG compression settings. I've been looking for such a configuration and this is the closest to what I can find. Besides, there are 3 values in build.prop, and the camera also has 3 setting options.

Does it support Arabic language ??
i hope the rom makers can support RTL with their custom roms
@citizen-erased - Look for "Superuser" in the menu. If it looks cool, that's the new package. If it comes with 4 buttons, that's the old one. If you have the old one, flash the zip found in the first post
You may wait, since I'm making an unbranded version of this. Currently downloading an unbranded KDZ atm.
@HellGate1 - Sorry, no. I'd need a KDZ that supports the Arabic language. I could make one, but I can't support it since I won't be able to read the stuff
Updated first post. ROM now unbranded
Hi!

- Replace music.apk (this one i know that just need to replace it =D)
- Remove arome installer from the rom (dont have a clue how to do it)
- I need a good working camera.apk with flash on photos and recording.

It will be hard to remove it, but it's somewhere in META-INF. Don't have much experience with it sorry.

You need to specify the ROM! But This. should work if the ROM's camera works, otherwise its a Driver/lib problem.
In the future be more specific. Developers/Experienced users won't help you if you're not willing to do anything. Don't be lazy too! These questions have been answered before! SEARCH.

WHAT ROM??? If you can't provide details don't expect an answer. Browser and Music apks can generally be replaced by deleting them form /system/app and replacing them with your desired apps (ie, I assume Dolphin and Apollo?) set permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot. Make sure the apps are compatible with your system first though.
Aroma installer I am not certain about but I imagine that you can find it in your /system and just delete it and reboot. If it was in your ROM already then you can unzip the ROM and remove the respective files, rezip it and then flash.
In regards to the camera, I need the ROM information...
EDIT: Listen to PulseDroid, he has more experience than me.
If rom uses aroma
Delete full meta inf and copy meta inf from other rom wich is based on same

I have created a flashable zip for you to remove the items you listed. As standard I take no responsibility should something go wrong, so make a backup just in case. I use this same zip everyday to remove bloat after flashing nightlies so I see no reason for something to not work. Let me know though if something needs to be tweaked or if it doesn't work.

I don't know how to create flashable zip but as far as i know we can edit update-script ? Can I modify it too ?
TIL that GAPPS is Bloatware.
I do not consider 90% of those bloatware. It just looks like you're removing all the Google apps that can be downloaded manually from the play store.

I give this thread 1 derp vote. I think you need to re-check what bloatware is, I'll give you a hint its not the apps that provide half the core functionality of Android.
I have a startac you might enjoy.
OP, don't listen to the derps who can't grasp the concept that bloatware is subjective.
This is the approach that SlimRom takes. Which is to remove all apps and associated files that are NOT ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for android to function. It leaves the user to determine which apps they want to install.
Thank you op for this thread. I too like to remove apps that I never use.
It's all about CHOICE. People are free to customize their ROM, however they want. And this is obviously not a tweak that a newbie should be doing anyway.

Removing Hangouts APK will also break sms functionality.

If people report a function of android that gets broken with a removal of a particular app, maybe put a comment next to it saying what it breaks. Like how removing hangouts breaks sms.
Most apps are self-explanatory, but sometimes there are things that don't work that you wouldn't know unless you tried.
This thread can be great, sort of like a wiki for system app functionality.

Hey,
First off, this is great! Don't pay any attention to the haters and the trolls who have nothing better to do. A couple of suggestions, could you do one for deodex, secondly it would be cool if someone could create an aroma out of this do that there is some choice, also do that there is an option to replace the removed apps with apks, backups on the internal storage. Edit: removing hangouts does not break sms, I tried it. IMO the holo blue messaging app on xda is way better

INTRODUCTION
I've been flashing for a while now (Since G1) and XDA is my main lurking place. And it seems recently I can't find any lite TW ROMs (Which I like most) so I guess it should be about time I contribute a little something... even though it ain't much. This is very likely a one off thing until comes a time I have something to share again... so no frequent updates because it takes alot of time and I'm a really lazy bastard. Technically TWL ROM is a simple stripped down stock ROM. No extra features, no eye candies and no extra tweaks. Just plain, dark, light TouchWiz ROM.
UPDATE: I've put everything back where it was and stripped APKs further without going overboard... still managed to break SNote. WTF.

DOWNLOAD
1. TWLv2.0LTC (Google Drive)
2. TWLv1.6LTC (Google Drive)
3. Mediafire
HOW TO INSTALL
1. Download the latest Philz Kernel.
(Preferably PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0-signed.zip or later)
2 On CWM Recovery, Install Philz Kernel. Reboot Recovery.
(Advanced -> Reboot Recovery)
3. On CWM Recovery again, Go to Wipe Data/Factory Reset -> Wipe Data/Factory Reset.
4. Go to Mounts and Storage -> Format /system
5. Go to Mounts and Storage -> Format /preload
6. Install TWLv1.6LTC.zip
7. Reboot System.
RECOMMENDED
1. Flash Forest-HelloWorld-Make-II kernel for JB N7000 if you want a little more power and battery life. Awesome work by forest1971.
2. If you don't use multi window (I never used it in everyday life, not sure why), you can delete; FlashAnnotate.apk | FlashAnnotateSvc.apk | FlashBarService.apk (It will free up 20MB+ of RAM).
3. Give DigiCal a try... It comes with pretty widgets that somewhat resemble Splanner's. If you're prefer it or some other Calendar App over Splanner, you can delete;SecCalendar_Q1_SPen.apk | SpPlannerAppWidget.apk (It will free up 20MB+ of RAM).

That behavior is due to forest-helloworld-makeII kernel's known bug. If it even happens on Philz's kernel for you then might I suggest going the long way of formatting internal SD... But that shouldn't be the case.

roll back to Philz

i just remember, this issue occurred once flash forest-helloworld-makeII
As i know i didnt find some problem after flash this ROM early.
Can i roll back by flashing Philz's kernel to fix above issue?
Go to Philz Thread.
CTRL+F and search for "tw only:" and click on the link at the side.
Click on "v5.15.0" Link.
Download by clicking on the link "PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0-signed.zip".
Flash that after you clear cache and wipe dalvik cache.
Must Re-flash

This script is for use only for nexus 5(hammerhead) on a cyanogenmod11. Specifically tested on m11. Please, make a nandroid backup before flashing script incase something terrible happens. If you want to see what apps it deletes look at the script. Mostly junk I never use.

or you can use a root file explorer and just delete the apks in /system/app/ and /systempriv-app/, specifically the one you personally do not want. then just reboot.

Yes, as you can pretty much do with anything whether its adding or removing apps. Its for convenience. I could also manually go through and install a bunch of apks, but why not just make a script to do it for me? Thanks for your comment!

scripts are absolutely fine. the problem would be somebody elses bloat might be another persons valuable app. anyways, you should list what apps your script removes
Ok. Thats actually a great point. Thank you for the advice. Im very new to this edify language and making scripts. Really it was just a script for me but i just wanted to share it, but i will go back and edit my first post to have it list the apps. Thanks once again for your help!
