[Q] Bell Canada back to stock - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I have found a few threads with RUUs for the HTC one and I am not quite clear which one I should use to relock and put my phone back to stock.
Would someone be kind enough to give me the file name or a link to the ruu I need for an htc one on the bell network here in Canada.
Thank you very much.

Check my guide in my signature, post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n before posting) if you need more help. Post back in my thread, i get notifications on that.
S-ON is not recommended

I know these are old ones, but this is exactly the same question...
As said in this thread, you will need S-OFF.
post the output of:
Code:
fastboot getvar all

changing IMEI number is illegal is most countries (if your country use a GSM infrastructure then its probably illegal)
For this reason, i'm 99.99% sure no one will help you change your imei on this forum.

Could anyone share the idea what is the right firmware.zip for me? I appreciate your help. Thank you.

Stuck at step 10.
Hey guys,
I'm new to the whole Android thing. I've allways used old school Nokia's.
I bought a HTC One M7 from a friend of a friend.
It is rooted.
I want to unroot the device. I'm following the steps in this tutorial. I get stuck at step 10 "(Type: fastboot oem rebootRUU and wait for device to reboot").
The phone does reboot, but keeps hanging on the HTC logo. I've added a picture of what happens.
Can somebody please help me with this problem?
Regards,
Michel

There is no problem, your phone isn't hanging at all, this screen with the silver HTC logo is RUU mode. You can proceed with the next fastboot commands (fastboot flash zip name_of_file.zip)

Thanks for the answer. However, I haven't succeeded yet. When i'm trying to go to the next step I get this message (see attachment).
Can you think of something wat causes this?

Hey,
I've attached the results of the "getvar all" command.
I'm trying to flash the Android Revolution zip file, from the link in the OP.
I've put the zip file in the same folder as Bootfast and renamed it to firmware.zip.
Thanks for the help by the way. It is greatly appreciated.
I have to go to sleep soon, first thing i'll do in the morning is checking this thread!

ARHD is a ROM (software) not a Firmware so why are you trying to flash it like if it was a firmware? Have you read the OP (the 10 FAQs) before the instructions you are following? These instructions are to update your firmware before flashing a custom rom.
Custom rom are flashed using a custom recovery, ARHD must be flashed using TWRP 2.6.3.3 not in RUU mode.
Be careful, your phone is s-off. If you don't know what you are doing, better to read more/ask before flashing things to your phone, especially if its s-off.

And tell me why you are trying to flash ARHD custom rom (which is a pre-rooted ROM) if you want to unroot the phone?
You want a 100% stock phone like if it was never rooted or you want to flash ARHD?

Thanks for the info.
I've got at this thread via other threats.
I clearly don't know what I'm doing. I've never had a smartphone.
I guess I'll just look for more information about the subject more first.
I'm trying to get it to 100% stock phone.

if what you want is to go back to 100% stock, follow nkk71's guide (linked in my signature) But I would recommand to keep your bootloader unlocked and s-off unless you want to send the phone for repair under warranty.

Hey, I've tried to follow the steps from nkk71's guide. When I get to step 1 (checking for a suitable RUU) the link leads to a website that is down.
Do you perhaps know any alternatives?

Hey guys,
I've tried to use the guide from nk771 but a lot of files that you have to download link to the htcone1guru site which is down.
Is there another website that has the files needed to take the phone back to stock condition?
When I try to google for these files I come up at a lot of threads who lead back to htcone1guru.
---------- Post added at 02:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:04 PM ----------
Okay, I've found myself a RUU file. I haven't found a Nandroid file yet (M7 CWM Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__E11 / 1.29.401.12)
All the websites I visit lead to a website that is down.
Is there another way to obtain this file?

I don't have much experience with Verizon devices as I'm UK based but if your giving it away, you should just leave it S-OFF and try getting an original ROM from the HTC ONE Verizon thread. It's a different story if your trading it in though as most retail shops would check the Security status. You will need to find the relevant RUU file and then S-ON using a toolkit. You'll have to search through the forums man, sorry if I haven't been much help. I will take look when I have more time for ya and let you know if I find anything.
Hey found a link in the intarnational HTC One thread, all information on how to return to stock with S-ON is here but make sure you give it a good read and remember that your using Verizon phone so the methodology may vary a bit but it is outlined in the thread.

To return back to stock we first need to know your phone info. Can you post the output of "fastboot getvar all" please. Remove the imei and serialno lines before posting the output.
